Dropped for me off of Captain Lkai tonight.
He was soloable by 65th necro, not eaisly, but was doable
Confused if this is a worn effect or combat effect? Just cli

I was reading the posts below and realized that you just have to click on the Lucy's Entry link at the top. I did that and it looks like the last update of this item has the effect at "Worn", so I guess this is a worn haste item. The picture above may just be a mistake in game that has since been fixed.
proc effect?
# Jun 13 2003 at 11:31 AM Rating: Default
Here's food for thought. On any item I have that is a proc (stun, dd, etc) the effect is given as (combat). I am thinking that this item is therefore a spell effect that will proc on the user during combat situations. For example, my SoS proc's major shielding on me, but it only goes off if I am actively fighting something. Other items that say (worn), well those are a permanent effect... like the ever popular fbss or schw's. Items that say (triggered) are clickies and have either infinite or limited charges.
Not to change the subject...

... but anyone care to share some info on what mob this drops from?

We got it to drop last night off of one of the captains.

was just going to point out since everybody was saying that this is a worn haste (such as the fbss) that fbss actually says (worn) as do most other worn item effects. if you look in the description it says triggered, so this may very well be a right click spell effect, kinda like the eyepatch of plunder.

just food for thought

All effects default to Triggered on Allakhazam, unless changed by the user posting the item. That being said, the item screenshot shows it as a Combat effect, which would make nonfunctional. I'm guessing that's just a mistake, and it should say Worn.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 10 2003 at 10:31 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Haste (Combat) isn't too hard to understand, when you're fighting you're hasted, when you aren't fighting you aren't, so really it's no different than worn haste (unless worn and combat haste stack, which I doubt)
Of Course, Haste
# May 03 2003 at 1:53 AM Rating: Decent
Calistos, I think you might be misunderstanding haste. It doesn't need to be right clickable or swingable to have haste. The Flowing Black Silk Sash, the most famous of haste items (arugably, of course) is worn, not swung, as are most haste items. Also, worn item haste effects do not stack with each other. They stack with spell haste and song haste. There is no oversight and there is nothing wrong with this mask.

WarriorOne, why shouldn't masks have a melee proc? Look at the classes for this. They are all melee's or hybrids. I think it is a terrific mask, and want one.

Munkustrap Longshot, 23rd level wood elf ranger
Chordd Heraldhill, 22nd level half elf bard

Just a note on Haste. Stacking works as such: One item haste plus one spell OR song haste. Spell and song hastes do not normally stack. If the spell and song hastes have other effects (such as the AGI/DEX/ATK buff of Vallon and the Bard epic haste proc), those effects will stack (provided they don't interfer with each other) while the highest haste will be counted. That being said, there are a few instances where Song haste will stack with both Spell and Item haste. Bards have two songs, Battlecry of the Vah Shir and Warsong of the Vah Shir, that include small haste components that stack with both item and spell hastes, as well as having the ability to exceed the haste cap.

The only items with combat procs are weapons. The (combat) trigger means it will only check when it is being swung as a weapon. Haste is normally a (worn) effect.

When's the last time you swung your face at a mob in combat? I haven't seen a headbutt ability in the game yet. The item is a mask. It can't be wielded as a weapon.

Explain this to me again.

That is what I get for trying to be intelligent and wise in the middle of the night. Of course, you both are exactly right and I am exactly wrong. Sorry about that.

Combat Haste

Yay. This item has finally posted. I have this item. I have petitioned several times on it. Why does it have combat haste. It is not clickable and obviously you can't swing it. I believe it is just an oversight, I have confirmed the haste but it doesn't stack with other (worn) haste items. BTW this drops off the captains or whatever they are called when you are trying to kill the overseer.
Haste

Magelo shows this as 24% haste with a lvl of effect of 23.

Ok the Effect is 24 % haste at 23 ... BUT this is a recommended level 45 mask ...... Will the haste increase as the player advances or is it always 24 % ( which looking at the stats makes no sense).

Can any one post % of haste at 45 ?

It does not change with the level of the person wearing it. The the level of the spell on the item is 23. It is just how VI set EQ up to calculate the haste on items, they give it a level that the game can pull to assign the values.
WTF?
# May 02 2003 at 6:22 PM Rating: Default
Color me confused, but a mask with a melee proc?
RE: WTF?
# May 03 2003 at 12:01 AM Rating: Default
