Every rogue above level 45 should make obtaining this BP a priority.

Yes, I know that there are cheaper, higher AC rogue useable BPs available in bazaar. Yes, I know that the -10 int/wis will tick off some tradeskillers.

However, the (relatively fast) Invigorate is worth every penny. If your healer is OOM and you're dotted, start clicking. Need to solo/farm a greenie or light blue? This BP lets you heal fast enough that you can break the spawn cycle. Fell down a cliff and took a beating? Fix yourself up quickly. It also makes duo'ing a lot easier. I find that with this BP, a Paladin makes an awesome partner. He heals himself, you heal yourself... very little downtime.

This BP should definitely go into every rogue's bag of tricks right next to the Mechanized Lockpicks, Mask of Deception, and JBoots.
-Just my 2cp
P.s. I have seen them going for 15k on my server. You can probably get it cheaper if the seller is tired of advertising.

is it me or is this the ONLY trak dropped BP with negatives on it ?

It is, but there's good reason why.

When do rogues need wis/int? Honestly? :P

They get the best Kunark-era Class BP though.

For the longest I was trying to get my Int / Wis up on my rogue so he would actually get some skill ups while doing tradeskills.

It was like Forest Gump on some density mass theory..

He was not being dishonest with you. You can use the BP at lvl 1 as there is no required level to use it. You cannot however use the effect until lvl 45.... unless he said you could use the healing effect at lvl 1.. then that would be dishonest.

I really wish this was the warrior BP. Cobalt can heal 400 hps per minute while this one does 1000 per minute. Would be so insane to have as a warrior. I dunno what rogue defense is like but since their main deal is backstab I don't see how they can make much use of this thing unless they are killing greenies for some spawning purposes. But still great for free heals whenever you need it...

I can tell you exactly how a rogue can use it. I have one that I will never give up.

For one, the quest bp'd from thurgadin, kael, etc. have better stats, and the same effect, but the cast time is over 2x as long. The other day I was in a LDoN group and tried to open a chest that was trapped with a disease dot. It was incredibly nasty in that it was doing very close to 100hps per tick. The cleric, etc.. had already gated out and I was left at the OZ of the dungeon with this dot on me. Had I had the quest BP and not mrylokar I would have died. As it was I was fighting the dot for the next 10 minutes chain casting my BP. I was just staying even with the dot. Eventually someone passed that could cure it with a curse removal spell, but if it wasnt for that who knows how long I would have been there.. but at least I didn't die.

Now you might think that this was situational and as such so rarely used it might not be worth it. I beg to differ. As a rogue and with decent gear I still am very low in the way of hps but I still like to solo. I can take out a mob in the torrigan mines and then heal myself in a reasonable amount of time before I take on another mob. Can you imagine how crappy exp would be if I had to sit and med back to health?

I have allot of Stanos wicked armour now, but I can guarantee you will never see my mrylokar bp for sale unless I can get one that will heal even faster and for more hps. Even if I dont wear it (and I have other bps I switch out that have better stats), I still will keep this in my bag to heal when I cant get it any other way.

clickable at 45, like most Kunark armor.
Odd
# Mar 25 2003 at 10:01 AM Rating: Decent
I find it odd that this is the *only* class-specific Kunark armor with anything negative on it. This isn't out of line with the other Kunark BP's... +~10 to major class stats seems to be the general theme, with some having 8 or 12. Why take away 2 stats that dont matter to a rogue anyway? Just seems pointless to me.

Oh well, this is still a very nice BP and would love to have one on my Rogue...

Hi folks, I just won this tonight. As of 3/1/03, this effect is 100 point heal, casting time is 6 seconds. No stamina regen or anything. I thought I'd post this due to the conflicting info some have posted. I think the same effect on other chest items for rogues has a different casting time, possibly 90 point heal, but I don't know. But I used mine tonight, so I can tell you for sure :)

# Jun 16 2004 at 9:08 PM Rating: Decent
Invigorate used to be a 90 point heal for all the classes that got it on their armor. The reason was that all non-clerics had a 10 percent penalty to healing spells. This penalty also affected clicked healing spells, like this item has. The penalty was eliminated sometime in either 2001 or 2002, and thus this item now heals for 100 points.

Flowing Thought IV? says on info, thought it was invigorate the 90 or so pt. heal? this just a messup or did this bp just become worthless?

That people go for this BP may have something to do with the fact that one can fairly easily solo one's way to 35k plat, but one can definitely not solo any Skyshrine armor.

RE: !!!

Bards are a plate class. Rogues are a chain class. Hence the reason why their armor has a higher AC value.

End of conversation. Newbie.
RE: !!!
# Jul 24 2002 at 10:53 AM Rating: Decent
All I can say is Dumbass. first of all, you don't compare a plate class to a meele class. Secondly, don't compare class items to other class items in the first place. Yes, we do get crapped on as Rogue sometimes. but that doesn't mean you have to go out and act like a Monk saying that everything hould be Monk armor and you all are just taking up room. I have nothing against Monks ,they just seem to be the only ones doing that. So PLEASE realize, that Rogue should not be hit. If a Rogue gets aggro'd he needs to learn how to Evade, or even Escape with AA, or die. That's the life of a Rogue. A Rogue is nothing without weapons and stats. The only thing a Rogue should be concerened with should be their weapons, dammage dealing stats (str, dex, and mabye agi), and aggro reducing. That's it, you shouldn't be worrying about having to have enough HP to get hit because you shouldn't get hit. Now Verant might not nerf things if people weren't complaining so much. So please people, for the love of the game, your equipment, and everyone around you, shut your hole and just freaking play before they take another thing away from us.
RE: !!!
# Jul 15 2002 at 12:21 PM Rating: Decent
WOK, INT can be used to aise skills...Now, why would a rogue, this high of a lvl, erally be lvl'ing that much more in skills....they wouldn't...so its well worth it.

when you're higher in level, you will get bored in exp grinding and take some time out to work on tradeskills.. pottery, poison, fletching, smithing, baking, etc. I just take this BP off and my helm and put on my WIS gear (yes, I do have wis gear in the bank for just tradeskills). I'm able to scrap up a meager 108 wis (lol). Yes, it takes me longer to skill up than my druid but it's still fun making your own food :)
RE: !!!
# Nov 24 2002 at 10:41 PM Rating: Default
Strength now affects the lvl of advancment of tradeskills and skills. Str, Wis, and Int do but whichever is the higher than it takes priority and is the factor. So, good news for melee.

from what I've read on eqtraders.com wis/int is the primary stat on the rate of skillups and str/dex (depending on the tradeskill) is the secondary stat. As mentioned below, fletching and dex is related. I also believe poison and dex go hand in hand.
RE: !!!
# Dec 26 2002 at 11:25 AM Rating: Decent
the only tradeskill that str affects at all is smithing. All the other tradeskills still use wis/int as the main check vs. lvl of skill raises. *fletching does use dex tho*

# Feb 07 2002 at 5:49 AM Rating: Decent
Bards are a plate class. Just like clerics almost all their compareble armor has better ac than the chain based rogue (or ranger).

Not to mention that the click effect is much more important for a rogue to reduce downtime, since we have very limited ways of healing, where bards can just use their healing song.

Overall VERY nice breastplates for both classes.
RE: !!!
# Feb 28 2002 at 6:17 PM Rating: Default
Also, rogues should NOT be getting hit. If they are, they need to back off, hide and turn attack off. Being a chain class they have low ac and (should) not the main tank. As for the neg 10 wis/int... when was the last time you had mana? if you are working on trade skills simply take the BP off and but your int or wis gear on. Over all this is a GREAT BP for rogues and is even better after VI fixed it ;) (was +50 mana)
RE: !!!
# Jun 04 2002 at 10:38 AM Rating: Excellent
Ok, I am just sick of people saying that rogues shouldn't be tanking. WELL DUH! But like you said. If we get hit we have to back off. Well it is hard to back off when your dead from one or two hits, is it not? So why do rogues need any ac? So they don't die when they get hit. We don't have s**t for hp either. We need all the ac we can get. We need all the resists we can get. Just like everyone else. IMHO, if its better than what you got, and you can use it, then roll for it because you need it.
RE: !!!
# Apr 27 2003 at 4:03 PM Rating: Excellent
I just have to say I agree with Gangerdopple. My main isa Cleric and I often hear the same type of crap. You only need wisdom, you don't need AC, Buffs, HPs, or anything else, JUST WISDOM. Well, I also know that healing can build aggro very quickly and with an unexpected add, the cleric can be ripped apart with very few hits in the higher tiers. Anything to keep you alive long enough for someone else to regain aggro is important. I have personally (just last night in fact) seen a rougue get a high backstab crit that caused the mob to turn and swipe instantly at the rogue. One such swipe from a strong mob resulted in about 40% HP loss to the rogue. If it had been a quad hit, or if the mob had swung a couple more times (thankfully the warrior taunted aggro back after only 1 swipe) the rogue would not have had time to duck and cover. Anything that keeps you alive is worthwhile, because you have to be alive to contribute to your group or raid.

Many mobs have AEs, and most times a late add joins in its from behind the mob and guess who is going to be there. Also there is rampage damage, and then the lucky series of double backstabs which will steal aggro very nicely from the tank especially in the begining of a battle. The heal will be very useful to heal damage and to counteract AE effects, and to recover during battle from add damage once add is mezzed or 2nd tanked. This item will save your life at least once or twice, if not more as you will have less hps at end than you healed in battle with this item. I am glad I just bought one for 17K on xegony.

I know it really doesn't make that much difference in the long run, as you can always take this off when working on trade skills, but have any of you noticed that this BP is the only one that Trak drops that has negative modification for any stat? I don't really think that it is so much "better" than the other ones that it would need them to balance it with the other class BPs that drop. I wonder why the neg to int and wis was added? Any ideas?

thinks its because rogues dont need the 2 skills in combat as much as others, a balance issue I guess.
RE: One Complaint
# Feb 01 2002 at 6:33 PM Rating: Decent
If Rogues dont need those 2 skills in combat as much, then why give make them negative? Id have to agree that this BP compared to the other classes' BPs is not nearly on par. And seeing that its Ultra-Rare, its probably going to get ultra-rare complaints from Rogues. I also want to know why this BP is way under par compared to other Kunark Class BPs dropped from Trakkonon?

It's Verant and Rogues. Everything Verant makes for Rogue either gets Nerfed or suks to begin with.

during a fight you most likely won't back off and heal yourself; you'll have healers do that for you. This is more useful for after-fight heals and is great to save mana for your casters.
