Even though a few years have passed since this post, apparently I am lucky. Cleared the giant fort once, named spawns and drops Tree Weave on first kill.

Rathe GM event
# Feb 10 2005 at 3:38 PM Rating: Default
These dropped today in a GM event in Rathe Mtns. A GM was controlling the named while the groups formed. Was funny running around chasing it. It couldnt be attacked for a while. Kind of wish there was more to it than a tree weave but was fun to do something different for a hour or so.
Pretty good
# Sep 19 2004 at 10:27 AM Rating: Decent
I am a lv 21 RNG currently and got this as reward from a GM Event that started in Paludal Caverns. I had a complete chainmail look going on so this is da out of place on my char but with leather bracers on (Bracers of Erollisi) it looks pretty cool. Nice little reward.

I'm a 22 Rogue on Morden Rasp and was given this after a GM event which started in PC, also. It involved leading a Kitty back to her home in Shar Vahl. Did you have to do the same thing Suleren?
Wow.

I purchased this chest piece on Fennin Ro for 300pp, and am happier than a dung beetle in an outhouse!
For the price it just can't be beat. I share this piece with 2 other lower level alts, one Ranger and one Beastlord. We all enjoy the benefits of the higher AC while relishing the strength bonus for the attack value.
Right now I'm looking for 2 more at reasonable prices (FREE would be good) for my alts. While it may look plain, my concern is and will always be, living to reach a nice retirement age so I can see myself wearing uber armor that is all shiny, vivid and matches. Then I'll grab my teeth, my cane, and my sword and hit the road slaying all that crosses me.

I've been trying to get this piece for my Druid. I've killed Gorgul Paclock at least 10 times and more Forrest Giant Ancients then I can count. Still no Tree Weave... If you want this piece be prepared for a long camp.
Str - Vs _ Weight
# Aug 02 2003 at 3:28 PM Rating: Default
erm, correct me if I'm wrong ,but, the weight of the item, is heavier than the Strength it grants,
so, wouldn't that make the Strength advancement a moot point?

RE: Str - Vs _ Weight
# Jul 01 2004 at 3:43 PM Rating: Decent
Well, not to mention even if the thing weighed 20 stones the strength still helps with damage and in a rogues case... backstabs. Also if you mean for a monk, weight is weight, even if you have a ton of strength. Like if 20 stones is the limit before your AC drops, thats what it is. It does not matter what your strength is. Besides, look how many pieces you have... they probably all weigh something, and not all of them even add strength. But sure, think of it as weigning 2 stones. I would POSSIBLY put this on a monk, for the simple fact the raw ac, and most other times oyu wear pretty light stuff. I kind of still like the old Lockjaw vest. Tough to beat AC/Weight when your not a twink, its nice.

The +10 STR will still aid your ATK rating though.

Great item!!
# Jul 08 2003 at 6:46 PM Rating: Decent
Bought this for my SK at about lvl 25 for 200p. I'm still using it at lvl 47, although I'm looking to upgrade now. This is probably the best chest item for a meele class for under 1k. The 25ac is very good for an item of this price, and +10 str is also a big bonus. If you want a great cheap tank chest item get one of these

Wow I got ripped off I bought it for 1000pp at the bazaar for my lvl 10 RNG. Oh well I got it now!
Treewave Nice

My barb has had it now sicne level 10. It was the first thing I bought on Lanys T'vyl for 500pp I couldn't tell you how many times is saved me. A great piece of armour. I would highly recommend to anyone. Less than 500pp is definitely a good look at getting.

I got mine yesterday for.... (i don't dare to tell ya :-P): 250 pp! But that was a very, very good deal. Usually they go for 450-500pp on AntBayle Server (been watching prices for these kinda things).
RE: what the hell?
# May 01 2003 at 10:12 PM Rating: Default
Paying 600 may seem to much to some people for this item. Maybe you got ripped, happens more than you know. Would I pay 500pp for this ? No, I'll rather get on my main and camp what drops it, that's why they laughed maybe, some have ego problems.

I dunno....

Upgrade from Ro
# Jul 10 2002 at 1:38 PM Rating: Excellent
For Paladins in their early/mid 40's in a reasonable group, this is a good progression from the BP of Ro if the 10 Fire resist isn't needed. The advantages/disadvantages are:
Raw AC +5
Weight +7 but np as
STR +6
Fire Resist -10
i.e. you can take more damage and the extra STR will increase your maximum damage output.Keep the Ro BP for Fire resist requirements :=)
p.s. Thanks Misermeisterr :~}

Maybe your server is different, but the jarsath trident commonly goes for 1K on Saryrn. You can get a tree weave for 1K, too. I've bought one tree weave at 800, and one at 1K.

It can be a nice look
# May 04 2002 at 10:09 PM Rating: Decent
Ok, people talking about looks over ac - my opinion is that looks can go with ac. My ranger wears this, along with the Kromrif Leggs, and the rest Tolans (boots, arms, bracer, gaunts, and helm) - which is a pretty nice look and nice ac there for a ranger (who is really my 3rd character).

I love the leather look. The main reason i have not tried to get a barbed ringmail is that I would have to give up my hot leather look.
Ancient drop?

Has anyone actually seen the Tree Weave drop off an Ancient in BW? I've spent Many hours camping this spot for xp and such over the past couple of years, have gotten 3 Tree Weave Tunics, but I've never seen it drop off a Forest Giant Ancient.

I'd be most interested in hearing that it does, even if ultra rare. It would make the camp just a tad more exciting with the hope of getting an Ancient to drop it.

Ihave never seen an ancient drop it but Gorgul Paclock does drop it (uncommon i think).
cool BP
# Mar 16 2002 at 10:13 PM Rating: Decent
While doing a free rez at the fort (after a long run), Gorgul attacks my recently rezzed friend. I hang around to make sure he is ok, and help by healing and nuking a bit, and this BP is the loot. The nice gent gives it to me as reward for the rez (I expected none). Helluva day!

Would anyone else agree that this is a decent chest piece for a Beastlord. I've found that BLs often get shafted when it comes to equipment. This item happens to be one of the few i've that is ok for a BL (that is dropable anyways)
RE: BL
# Mar 27 2003 at 6:58 PM Rating: Decent
I will be heading to DL to bump my Beast up a few lvl's [currently @ 47]and I am hoping to get this to drop.
RE: BL
# Feb 14 2002 at 12:01 PM Rating: Default
If I didn't have my Treeweave, I'd rather have either a Nathsar Breastplate or Wild Lord's Tunic.

The only thing I don't like about the Treeweave is that it looks too plain on a Beastlord. It needs a better graphic when worn.

Well yeah, but the Wild Lord's Tunic goes for 25,000pp! (just checked in the bazaar on Zeb.)
