compare it to HP Ssra
# Aug 01 2004 at 4:29 PM Rating: Default
If you look at this shield and the one off the HP of Ssra youll see the amazing similarities in them. Ssra one has 1 less FT, and 6% less dodge and less on the stats and resist but the stats it has are about the exact same as this just a little less. And the HP is such a easy kill to get to and to do especially if your guild can kill this they better beable to do HP. So why not work both encounters because it seems that most people have forgotten the perks of Luclin mobs for the great loots they offer. Most still do VT and Emp Ssra but theres so much more.

yeah natures infusion is good at getting agro, especially if you have a spell haste item and heal early cause you know the tank is gonna drop quick or your healing the offtank whos the only guy on the mob. as for who gets the most benefit from the shield? well its the guy who wins it right? =p
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 12 2004 at 6:56 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Give it to a monk. I don't care if he can't use it or has no mana pool. Give it to them anyways.
Who should get this.
# Jan 11 2004 at 5:31 PM Rating: Default
Well I always think it is funny when I see people complaining about who should get this or who shouldnt get this, or why is this class even on there or whatever. In every situation the item is good for all the people listed for one reason or many. There are deffinately items that are maybe a little better for one class or another on the list, but in my opinion (I am in a DKP guild) if you have the DKP, its an upgrade and you want it, bid on it and grats if you get it. There are very few times that I would reserve an item for a specific class and those would be cases like the BoW off of RZ for Warriors, just because it helps them do the job that your raid needs them to do all that much better.
Who gets it
# Nov 25 2003 at 1:11 PM Rating: Decent
Hmmm, Most likely if you ever see this shield drop in person you will be in a high end guild with a dkp system. Guess what class most desrves it if you have the most dkp? Thats right yours if this fits your class. Some guilds run a assignment type system and at that point the most deserving class is whoever your guild leaders say it is when they give it to someone. Anyways maybe I will have a shot at this drop tonight, guild is planning to hit an Elemental plane somewhere. Have fun all.

Well this has been an interesting page to read.

Anyway, anyone know the graphic? It better not be another blinky shield for the amount of work that goes into this ring.

why does everyone argue between who should get it /boggle it's already on the item =P this shield would make a great addition to either class not just for the dodge mod but also for the FT :)

Why is everyone making a big deal out of the dodge mod, and making best class arguments based on it? I dunno about other classes, but I would only get 7.5 bonus from that. Considering how much I dodge with 75, I can't imagine 83 would be that much better.

Dont over agro , Im a wizzy but If I would rather see this go to one of the clerics ro shamans cause they are the ones usually getting smacked on inc by either healing early or a shaman slowing. But anyways grats to whoever get it Ft7 is almost half your FT cap

Ok, here's the thing...

What's best?

Not getting attacked.

Second Best?

Not getting HIT.

Third Best?

Tie between getting hit for less and having more HP to live with being hit.

7 more dodge? I'd take it and love it.

(get hit for 400+ 7 times fewer out of 250 swings... gee thats 2800 hp I don't need healed)

druids get aggro like rangers get killed
# Apr 30 2003 at 8:02 AM Rating: Default
lol if there is AE damage, and the druid is the main healer in a group, they will get aggro trust me... clerics pallys and necros can give health to the entire group, while druids have to Chloroblast/nature's touch everone which generates a LOT of hate... been to 3 ToV raids that wiped, i always was one of the first 5 to die in a 40+ raid group, and dont even get me started on CT if theres no bard around/close to you

I dont like flaming but your talking about a Shield that drops in the Elemental planes when you have been to TOV a whopping 3 times!!!

With a mob in Teir 4 blasting away with a 1250 AE the only way a druid is gonna save anyone is with MGB Wood and possibly patch healing the clerics. You are NOT gonna steal aggro from a cleric chain casting Supernal Light and he most liekly wont steal it from a High End Guild MT. This is usually what makes these guilds so good.

And could we please stop with the F*CKING who should get it BS....kthx

Classes

This item would clearly be best for a: Cleric, Druid, Shaman, Mage, Wizard, Enchanter or maybe a Necro...
RE: Classes

thats all the classes that can wear it
RE: Classes
# Jun 14 2003 at 12:07 AM Rating: Excellent
I do believe that was the point of the post, that any class listed should have an equal chance to get it, without preference of one class over others.
The Win
# Apr 22 2003 at 7:39 PM Rating: Default
This is the best shield I have ever seen. 10% Dodge is the win, DR/PR resists are whats needed with PoP loot, and wow.... Ft7 on one item. You can keep all other shields. Drool

BTW- This should goto a Cleric, Wizard or Shaman.

I'm really horrible with figuring out which stats go better for what classes, so I ask this just to better understand.

How come priest class? I wouldn't complain getting this item, I'm a druid after all. :)
#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 23 2003 at 1:12 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This should goto classes that get summoned a lot. I would say chanter, but there is no charisma....and pet classes like mage and necro don't deserve...thats all. That being said this shield would enhance any class, but clearly better for others.

Care to explain why mages and necros don't deserve this? Mages need this as much as everyone else on the usable classes... Go parse some logs, mage dps is a substantial portion of raid damage(if they know what they're doing). The fact is, this shield is godly for anyone who is lucky enough to win it. The stats and effect are the win for everyone, but don't say soandso doesn't need it, because everyone needs it, or else they wouldn't ask to be included on it.

At the point where you would be up for this kind of spell, an Enchanter wouldn't be worrying about Charisma. The HPs and Mana, Saves, AC and +dodge, though, are worth any trade-off in CHA. You can buff CHA. You can't buff +Dodge%.
