Dang it looks like it would take a couple years for a casual player to achieve a shot @ this. Bigtime congrats to all those that have earned this. It seems possibly like this is an Epic earring. Trade Skills & Quests should reward this type of well earned loots. i still say, "YUCK" to Trade Skilling, but this is indeed an accomplishment of no small matter.
can someone submit a new pick this one doesnt show ne endurance/mana on it
Hey, does this item still have the 8% dodge mod on it? I was looking at it on www.magelo.com and they no longer have the 8% skill mod on the item...
I can confirm that it indeed does, I just finished the quest tonight and it does have it.
I added the 14 to all stat aug to it.... 39 to all... insane...

how much does dodge stack up to?
does it just keep going? posible to have like dodge 25+? with several items?

Only the highest dodge mod you're wearing will take effect, they will not stack.
No you can not get both. I personally tried all of the following.
1. Have Signet of the Arcane and second to last earring, attempt to turn it in with Hope stone and he spits them back.
2. Turn in Arcane for Might, attempt to turn in second to last with hope stone and he spits them back.
3. Leave Might on corpse, attempt to turn in second to last with hope stone and he spits them back.
4. Leave might on that same corpse for a week allowing it to go to Shadowrest, attempt to turn in second to last with hope stone and you guessed it! he spits them back.
Btw step 4 I even tried before and after "calling" the corpse in Shadowrest.
Clearly they coded it so you can not get both Arcane and Might at the same time.

So you get the Arcane earring. What would happen if you traded in the Arcane for the Might earring. Then you do hand in the 7th earring and get the Arcane earring therefore having both. Has anyone done this?

ok i realize u cant get both... but can u get like one of the other posts says the 5 regen one as well as the final one?

rather have the second to the last one anyway. 5 regen and the effect of the final earring that 8 regen plus all the other stats
I have wondered the same thing but the only answer I get, much like the other guy responding to your post, "You can't"..well why not?..."You just can't ok?!"
No one that I know of has actually tried it..But you can bet your *** I will hehe. Need to get my tailoring up from 178 and fletching from 200 and I will start the quest.

it has been stated by the developers you can't get both.
The reason why they explicity coded the exhange hand in to not give out both has also been stated by the developers.
it has been tested (and one bug found where you could loose your earring totally), details are on eqtraders if you want to look the tests up.
But by all means test it, once you have one earring its trivial to run through the quest again so it's not hard to test.
Btw, you can start the series well before you skill up tailoring and fletching.

Posted: Sep 04 2004 at 7:49 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) first. 2.00 isn't in pounds, it doesn't say that anywhere. as a matter of fact, the 10 pound meat pies are only 7.something in norrath weight, so its slightly under 2 pounds... but yes, 1 pound on your ear is still alot, and its more than that, so those are strong ears.

Melee get the earring of might and casters/hybrids get the earring of the arcane. you can do the quest for the second time up to the seventh earring but doing the eigth again will do nothing more than give you an earring that is lore thus losing the seventh earring.

I was just looking around....came upon this. I think it would be a friggin fantastic item for a ranger and I was wondering if there was any way that this item can be gotten by hybrids? I know it says hybrids get the signet of the Arcane but....I can always hope for the possibility :)

As a person that has completed this quest I can tell you one thing; before you post from now on get the first clue about just how difficult this item is to get.

WEll answer me this...Is a Pally a Hybrid?....The reason i ask is there is a Pally on Bertox with the Signet of Might...and If im correct they should get the other...So could the earring you get random or could pallies be considered in the melee bracket? ..b/c both earrings say All/All..if they were class specific would 1 say war rog mnk and the other says pal shd rng brd ect?...just something thats bothering me about this and wasting more space on this forum

according to quest info if he gives u hybrids the signet u don't want - hand it back to him and he'll swap it for the other

You can swap between the signets by handing them back to Councilman Taldarius.

confirmed. traded signet of arcane for signet of might by turning in to Councilman Taldarius accross from Aid Grimmel (unaug it first). hand it back to get back arcane, etc
