Just found on vendor along with Cowl of Mortality in Crescent Reach, lucky or what !
Still have a couple, great twink item for those who can wear, you're pretty much invincible.

AE with 71wiz & cleric merc....used Jyll's Static Pulse to stun, preventing healing and it casts pretty fast. I used Jyll's Wave of Heat inbetween. This method works for everything in this zone

Think a 64 monk WITH SoD, not to great gear, but 5k hp unbuffed, 275 str,agi,stam,and dex unbuffed could take this? And if i can, tank or cleric mercenary?
If you're talking about killing the spore king, you probably could with a mercenary. The only thing is you'd need to kill every myconid around the area, as they can heal through walls iirc.

First time I camped him, got the fungi two times after 2 kills, tried camping him agian (Twice) for about 5 hours, got nothing, Think its just luck of the draw...:)

I camped his spawn point.
Out of 67 spawns, only 16 were Kings.
The first 15 kings dropped the robe.
The 16th King - 67th spawn, dropped the tunic.

I camped him again. Out of 11 spawns, 3 were kings. The first 2 kings dropped the robe. The 3rd king dropped the fungi tunic. Still haven't seen a staff drop yet.
The spawns were in this order (R=Reaver, K=King)

I have camped this guy alot and never seen the tunic drop.Once camped him 12 hours a day for 3 days straight and nothing but robes and 1 fungi staff.Its just luck i guess.I did get 2 cobalt bracers though.Sold each for 50k.

So far today I have had 14 spawns. 4 of those being the King. 3 robes (/destroy) and 1 Fungus covered great staff. I'm not leaving til I get my Tunic! Boxing a 70 beastlord with 10k self buffed with P10. Along with him I'm boxing my Druid. Only been using snares because this guy is a newb!
The PH for the king is only a Reaver. From all the time I've been camping him, it's been a Reaver everytime...Finally got one after 7.5 hours of camping ~.~
-920, 115, -165 <Location of Myconid Spore Kings Castle> PH: Reaver, Warrior. Him or his PH are ontop of the Castle with 2 trash mobs. Happy hunting, running and Jumping can get u up at the side with an opening in the ramparts. Man the Castle walls, for otherwise the Castle Falls !!!

the fact that the only race that cant use this is vah shir is kinda lame, just a side note
Kitties get another version called the Fungus Patch Vest. It has the same stats but is required level 51. It's also rarer since the camp is a far more painful and annoying ring event.
The story I heard was this was done deiberately to prevent rapid powerlevelling when Luclin came out.
Since the new frogs were put on the fungi why can't they put kitty on it too?

zerkers cant use either. so if ur a zerker kitty dont get one.

Bought it yesterday for 80k in Bazaar.
Today 3 people had it in /trader for 90k each.
I think it was definately worth getting, easy to get the 80k back also if I intend to sell it ever!

this item is great for a shaman. Although once you get to the higher levels it doesnt seem as good as before. Once you get Replinishment or Cani 5 fungi has little to no use and should be sold or given to alt cauz u can cast one quiesence on ur self and u go back to full hp
