Looks Cool But ...

The War Marshall's Bladed Staff is much better. Same damage and only 28 delay.

So go buy one or go to Tactics and get one.

Anyone used this and an Argent protector. Just curious what you prefered and why.

well lets see...this has a way better ratio then AP, better stats then AP looks way cooler then AP choice is yours but to me AP is a newbie item anyway.

Well, when you take into account the dmg bounuses of both they are almost identical in ratio. The AP has better str and int which I need as an SK and adds to AC, the TE has better HP and resists.

Notice the dmg bonus in the picture is 34...and this is a 34/35 weapon. Str and int arent a reason to buy a weapon Hps>all. This has a better dmg ratio then ap. Way better stats, and saves are ok but id prefer cr, fr, or mr over pr and dr. At 60 225 2hs and 187 str i hit for 200+ with this weapon, really quickly. Anyway argent protector is to slow especially in pop. If you want the eye candy of hitting for 250+ every great now n then go ahead and get an ap. But this will out preform ap by far in the long run.

Some number crunching:

The pic above gave a damage bonus of 34 so the person wielding it at the time was probably level 62 or 63. We'll use level 63 in a fight for 2 minutes = 120 seconds.

Argent Protector: 42/49 with dmg bonus of 46. Let's say 49 delay is equal to 4.9 seconds. This means he will swing (120/4.9) = 24.49 times in the 2 minute fight. We take damage of weapon * 2 then add the damage bonus to it and then multiply the result with the number of swings. We get 3183.7

Tae Ew Two-Hander: 34/35 with dmg bonus of 34. Let's say 35 delay is equal to 3.5 seconds. This means he will swing (120/3.5) = 34.29 times in the 2 minute fight. Doing the above equation, we get 3497.6

The Tae-Ew offers better results.
Awesome weapon

I parsed this sword against MESS/TELS in Hate against blue and even con MOBs at 55. TE2HS outperformed across the board by about 15%.

Details here: http://forums.interealms.com/ranger/showthread.php?threadid=24212

Submitted a pic on 6/7/03. The sword looks like the Spiny Two hander.

Wrong recipe?

I attempted to make this sword but I couldn't get it done with the items stated here. I gave the standard error message for incorrect recipes. I also tried it with 2 metal sheets but to no avail either. I'm fresh out of ideas. :/

The recipe is correct. I just made one yesterday.

Possibilities for your problem include :

1)are you using a normal forge? Won't work in a cultural forge.

2) are you using the correct metal sheets? Don't use folded sheets. Also make sure you didn't grab a firing sheet, or some other item with the same graphic.

3) are you using LIZARD BLOOD temper? It looks like an ale, in a greenish glass bottle. This is the one used for the shields, not the one used for the chain armor.

4) make sure you have all 3 molds, one of each. Maybe you grabbed 2 of the same mold, or some other mold that was lying in one of your bags.

5) don't use a water flask. The temper is your liquid, no water required.

6) notice that there is NO HAMMER (or other tool) used in this recipe. When you go to do the combine, there should be 5 items in the forge.

The Tae Ew 2 hander i have is called a "Tae Ew Two Hand Sword" Probably just a typo.

Anyone have a graphic link to this sword? as most of the tae ew weapons have very unique looks.

It has the same graphic as the Dark Edged Two hander, and the Sombrous greatsword....Big two handed sword with runes going along the hilt and the blade...can also see the graphic on most of the weapon racks in Shar Val

i still think that a wepon made from the blood of a being should offer some bane dmg toward them.

Sounds like a good idea, but this weapon is good even without it, so I'm not complaining about it. :P
