The Hand of Veeshan shares the drop table of the Noble and OoA, and drops this BP. I actually got two of them at once yesterday - a haul that would have been unfathomably good back in the day for any raiding guild!

Dropped yesterday, 5/11/08
# May 12 2008 at 9:38 AM Rating: Default
He Dropped the Breastplate for me the second time I killed him. Also killed the overseer of Air once ( who shares the same loot table, but is harder to kill ). Here are his drops for the 3 kills.

Dojorn: 2 Efreeti Weapons, Efreeti Belt ( various FS weapons )

Overseer of Air: 2 Efreeti Weapons, Golden Efreeti Greaves. ( various FS weapons )

Dojorn: Golden Efreeti Bracer, Golden Efreeti Breastplate, One Efreeti weapon

Sooo.. Looking at his Loot table, and the drop rate, I'd say he usually drops 3 Weapons/armor pieces, and it seems to just be random, nothing is more-rare than anything else, and he can probably drop as many as 3 armor pieces, or 3 weapons, there just happen to be more weapons, so those will pop up more.

I read here he's on a One week timer. That either isn't true, or wasn't for me. I killed him Last tuesday night around 2am. I went into air 8 hours after the server was patched on Wednesday to see if he had re-popped, He had not ( everyone was there but him ). But I went into Air again to see if he was there last night ( sunday ) and Tadaaa! to my amazement, there he was, 2 days earlier than he was supposed to be. I'll check his spawns again this week, to see 'exactly' how long his re-spawn is.

I killed him and he dropped the Breastplate, to my amazement. My enchanter is now Full-plate ;o) Now if my guild will just accept me wearing this on raids ;oP

This old, bit for anybody reading it now...
1) Server resets wipe out ALL non-unique event server timers.
2) Timed NPC spawns can do 1 of 2 things.
- Appear at restart with a respawn timer when killed, or
- Not appear, but start the timer for any appearance.
In either case there is a plus-or-minus adjustment to that time.
If it's days long then I believe it is +/- several hours.

This BP dropped for me today off of the Overseer of Air. It was a bit suprising; I thought it only dropped off of Noble Dojorn.
Full plate enchanter
# Mar 13 2005 at 2:15 AM Rating: Decent
I just looted the golden efreeti chestplate today. He dropped the spear and the chestplate. I'm glad to finally have my enchanter in full plate now. Although I don't have as nice stats as I should, I look a lot better!

The strategy for the Dojorn isle is to pacify Noble Dojorn and Storm Mistress with Pacification (which can pacify mobs up to levle 65) and then pull the blade storms. If your group can't handle two blade storms, then you probably cannot handle Dojorn. This whole isle cannot be mezzed or charmed. The blade storms can be slowed and they are very easy. Well, after blade storms are down, you can pacify Dojorn again when you kill the Storm mistress. This will isolate Noble Dojorn. If you have a really powerful tank who is at least 9 to 10K raid buffed with a healer, then this shouldn't be a problem. Good luck if you're still trying for this. It's difficult to get people to actually go up to Sky.

BP
# Feb 16 2005 at 10:11 AM Rating: Excellent
This BP is very difficult to obtain. It took me over a year of killing this guy whenever he's up. He's on a one week timer and he spawns the OVerseer of Air when he's killed. After the Overseer of Air is up, you have to wait until the Overseer of Air is killed for Noble Dojorn to spawn again (or you can wait for the next patch like I did). Noble Djorn will not spawn again as long as the Overseer is still up. Overseer has the same loot table, but he's more difficult and he deathtouches. Plus, he's on the 7th isle or something like that. Very tedious to get to. As a result, I could only kill Noble Djorn about once or twice a month. I always set timing to find him a week after a patch, since he is on a one-week timer. I kept an alt constantly parked at Noble Djorn's spawn point which is in front of the Storm Mistress.

I killed Noble Dojorn quite a few times. Over half the time, he will not drop armor pieces. He will drop weapons and other junk. So far, he always drops a weapon (sometimes 2 weapons). You will need a small group to help, especially if you're an INT caster.

On the plus side, no one ever kills Noble Dojorn (at least not on my server), so you will probably have no competition for this item. I was the only one on my server who would really kill him. The main problem is finding a group of people who will actually help you get a useless item. Then, you hope that everything goes well.

For those who want to kill him, here's my strategy:
First, have a tank who's at least 7.5 K hp buffed. It doesn't matter what kind of buffs, but as long as he has some HP to take damage. Djorn procs a DD that does quite some damage and he procs it often. Second, have a healer. If you have a really powerful tank with high DPS and a cleric with at least a 6k mana pool, you are well set. Now there's other options. You can have 3 level 70 time geared wizards with mana burn. They would destroy the Efreeti. There are endless options. If you are time/GoD geared, then you can probably duo this guy if you play your cards right. However, I had no such luxury of having such help. If you're the average Joe, I recommend having a cleric or an enchanter for this one useful spell: Pacification. First, Pacify the Dojorn, then pull the blade storms to the Western tip of the isle, furthest away from Noble Dojorn. Kill the two blade storms. Then Pacify Dojorn once more and kill the Storm Mistress within the windmill. As a result, you can fight the Dojorn without adds. I was an enchanter, so I just pacified the dojorn while my buddies killed the blade storms. Then, I'd run over and slow the blade storms. Sometimes, Dojorn assists even if pacified. Just jump off and try it again (if a wizard is still teleporting you up). Well, now it's much easier to get this BP now than in the past.

Best of luck with him!

Not Nice

Well as much as i would like to say it its not just garbage to me.I still look for it.

Normaly id say its crap.My wizard is level 70 now has 150AAs an now mana is no problem. However im realy realy realy realy getting bored.I have most of a suit of armor for him an i still look for the Plate look for the chest.I can imagine my Wizard With his pet an Plate look on him.Just to be a individual to others. Most of the gear is plate an has good stats.

But this is the ONLY peice i think would realy suck for him.Even so.....I want it an i need a crew to help me get it.But well im to lazy as of late.

If anyone knows the respawn time on this guy please by all means post.An give me some info on His resist record. So far i have 8 on average an 2 partial nukes.he has about 20.000 hit points but goes bezerk an attacks everyone.an YES he does hit for 300.
NBG
# Apr 30 2004 at 5:10 AM Rating: Excellent
Am amused by some of the comments on this thread about communism. The entire NBG way of awarding gear is pure socialism, with only minimal means testing. Several times I have had good items that I could really have used as upgrades go to someone else who claimed NBG, while they (at level 30) sat on their horse or drog. NBG should be either tossed out as a way of distrubuting loot, or used consistently and fairly.

Oh, and unless the person is obviously swapping out to junk gear just for the NBG issue, the idea that a char should have better by that level and therefore doesn't get the upgrade ... dang that is one of the stupidist things I've ever heard! lol

Plain and Simple Truths
# Dec 03 2002 at 7:30 PM Rating: Excellent
1) Yes, this is an excellent status symbol
2) Yes, it looks cool, and seeing a pure caster wearing plate is a head-turner
3) Yes, lots of WIS casters probably already have better or have something similar

HOWEVER

4) If someone does truly need this item as an upgrade (however minor), it is wrong to challenge them for the rights to the item just so you can look cool.
5) It is wrong for anyone to say that "This is a cleric item", or "This is a druid item". ANYONE that does not already have gear with similar or better stats has a right to wear this.
6) It IS more useful to a pure WIS caster than a Ranger or Paladin, but only because the Rangers and Paladins usually want AC more than WIS.
7) It IS more useful to a WIS caster than an INT caster, but only because the INT casters usually want INT and resists over AC or STR.

In the end, it comes down to who actually needs it. As a 53 druid, I would love to have this item. Even though it is only 2WIS more than my current BP, it is nearly twice the AC (and I will not turn down an AC and WIS boost). Sure, I may soon have better, but that is exacly what I thought 10 levels ago.

Raid after raid, group after group, I was always either told "you should have better already", or "you don't need this as much as so-n-so, because you are higher level and can easliy go get such-n-such". Because of this mentality, I was still wearing a Foreman's Tunic as late as level 49!

I have no problem with other people rolling for it if they are genuinly using it as an upgrade (even if it is just a minor upgrade). I will even accept INT casters if they have an overabundance of INT and want something to boost their AC. However, if someone in the group/raid needs the item for an upgrade, I refuse to have someone else roll for it just because it "looks cool" or because they want a trophy.

This should go primary to No wearing plate classes....

for the simple fact that is the only plate you can wear...

now if you need it for upgrade.. i'll gladly give you 1kpp and you buy something better..

I am very happy to see someone talking sense and very professionally as well. My 52Beastlord would love this item, since at the mo he is still stuck in TreeWeave.

Admittedly Tree weave has better AC but i could forgo the 5AC for the WIS. I also have no problem with peeps going for items, and my guild is NBG so is generally fair. That said I'm going to try and get them either here or PoG since we have been doing PoH instead where absolutely nothing drops for a BL.

and to the guy below saying it looks good on an INT caster, and thats why they should get it fair play go for it only if everyone else already has better IMO.

The simple fact of the matter is this.. this is a caster item!!! by the time you get to this level you have better and if you dont you will shortly, but this is the only plate chest item that drops for int casters that i have found and it looks cool :)

and as an enchanter i would appreciate the ac :) but i wouldnt wear it for the ac.. i would wear it to look cool :)
RE: classes classes
# Sep 20 2002 at 2:34 PM Rating: Decent
WOW my post is sooo old im surprised you guys still are responding :) I feel even more like this is a caster only item because it is the only plate armor that casters can get. I understand someone looking at this going, but hey! this is better than I have now! But look at it this way, you will get better than this one day.. and it is no drop :( a caster wont ever have another chance at a plate bp :) and they wouldnt wear it for the stats :P besides, i've never seen one drop anyway :(
RE: classes classes
# Apr 09 2002 at 2:25 AM Rating: Default
I'm glad to see someone here finally displays some common sense.

I see so many "if you are of a level to get this, you should already have better." Which is just utter BS. I didn't wear my Ivy Etched Legs into TOV for the resists. I wore my ivy etched legs into TOV because that's all I had.

But "you'll have better, and if you don't, you will shortly" perfectly describes it. So yeah, this would be a small upgrade to a ranger or paladin(?) who's still wearing class quest armor, but it would quickly end up sitting in the bank for tradeskills.

Hmm...would a beastlord wear this over a treeweave? dunno.
RE: classes classes
# Jul 14 2002 at 5:41 PM Rating: Default

I have a 53 beastlord and I would drop my treeweave in a instant for this breastplate. less ac and str, but more wis, and wisdom is everything to a beastlord post 50. With my buffs I can get 240 str anyway, so its not an issuse, and 5 less ac isnt important. If Im in a group Im not gettin hit often, and when I solo, Im sittin on my *** while pet fights, droppin a dot/slow/debuff/pet-heal, and meleeing as mob flees to insure 100% exp from mob.

but then ont eh other hand this item is ultra rare and not worth the time it would take for a beastlord to get, the skyshrine beastlord armor kills this, along with 5 other easier to obtain chest peices.

I would like my Beastlord to wear a whole set...
The only problem is that Iksars can't wear the arms. DOH. There goes the whole set.. unless you happen to wear something that has no graphic (Greater Finespun Cloth Sleeves for example) the use of having all gold is ruined, because you have some ugly arms clashing with all that gold. And we all know how those Female Wood Elves hate people who clash. hehe

Caster Item? How so? There isn't a single INT bonus on this, why would a caster waste their time on this?

Understandable that a druid/shammy/cleric or any other class that uses WIS as a prime.

RE: Int caster
# Sep 02 2002 at 4:01 AM Rating: Excellent
Really dislike people who flame like this. Granted, I wouldn't deny a class that could use this BP the first right to loot it, but hey, I know plenty of BP's that a Cleric could easily get their hands on before this. If they have the power to go to PoA then they can certainly go to Hate and grab a purple one, hey, it's much less uncommon than this piece. If no one can use this BP, why not let everyone random for it? Anyway, I like novelty as much as everyone else. Why? Because it's a game, and it's fun to outfit your character with changes of clothes. Hell, I have a whole suit of FS armor dyed yellow for the hell of it, no other reason than that.

Constructive criticism proves a point just as well, if not better, than flaming. /rant off.

# Jun 03 2001 at 10:02 AM Rating: Default
I'm sure now that the dust has settled all the wis casters have Far superior items that they can get and MUCH easier than these items. As an enchanter a 20AC anything is godly. If you argue, what you have to consider is, what else is available to an enchanter? Maybe trakanon, but he's lvl 60 and I'm sure he thrashes this guy for breakfast. So risk reward there is commensurate.

Now some of you might say "enchanter?". Everyone knows "the first to die are the enchanters" - Karl Marxx.

For instance, walked into seb to the rock with full party. Full spawn at rock. Rock spawn ran through the party to thrash me. Before I could push the button on my keyboard I was dead.

So enchanters get some nice INT items and CHA items after decking yourself out with this gear. Then add the resists.

Never seen a druid get agro'd on a raid from casting a snare, or an evac. I'd think it would be clerics (need AC - agro from healing) and shamans (need AC - Agro from tugur's slow line) of course you all left out rangers and paladins, but they have superior armor elsewhere, but still would say they would want it more than druids.

Why would anyone say it should go in any order. If the druid needs then let him have it, if the cleric needs then let him have it, or even shaman. NO ONE SHOULD get this item first because of class. It should be who needs it. Guilds normally do plane raids together, and if the cleric needed the most then he/she should get. And if he/she got somthing better later then of course he/she would give it to another guild mate that needed... or atleast i would hope. I just don't understand why people keep saying which class should get first rather than who needs it the most.

Uh. Do you know who drops the Elder Spiritist Breastplate? (Which is about on par with this, perhaps slightly better: AC 17, Agi +6, Dex +6, Wis +9 +80 mana, effect: Chloroplast. The Agility, Dex, and effect make up for the loss of strength and AC, I think, and the +80 mana definitely compensates for the one less wisdom.)

Trakanon. Trak drops all the breastplates, in fact. Hardly "easy access."

Not that it really matters. With a mob that big and bad, the looting rules are going to be set well in advance, if the Raid Leader is at all competant.

And anyway, do you know how terrible it looks to be wearing a breastplate (and/or leather tunic) and look naked everywhere else? Wearing a robe is *much* better. ;)
