is it worth it?
# Apr 12 2001 at 4:36 AM Rating: Decent
I haven't played everquest for a while.. more then half a year, and so many things have changed I wouldnt know what kind of armor to go for after lvl 20 or so,is the Cleric armor worth it to do the quests? Or should I go for some other type of armor, I know it looks good having all one color of armor when you get all the peices.. but as far as stats go how does it compare to other items attainable from lvl 25-35? (BTW what is the official name of the whole set of armor? I can't find it in the fashion guides)

Actually, that is not true. This armor IS listed in the fashion tables, but not under the chestplate. It is called Clerical Golden Plate (not sure why, except that the color is golden). The armor looks nice, colorwise, but the overall graphic is disappointing on humans. For some reason the legs look square, and like primitive polygons. This is without velious or the new armor graphics. Hopefully they fixed it there.

BTW, this armor may not have tons of Wisdom in it, but the ac is awesome. At level 26, with only 2 pieces of this armor, My ac is often higher than some of the melee types in the pickup groups i've been in. Also, my wisdom is already up in the 150+ range, and I have not gotten the bracers yet.

Why stamina?
# Apr 04 2001 at 12:26 AM Rating: Default
So what's the purpose of stamina on this. Only very massochistic or unbalanced clerics meelee long enough to run out of stamina, the only times I've ever run out of stamina so far has been when I'm on the boat, or jumping repeatedly.

Glad I didn't have to complete this quest, I had been camping Regis the Reverent for the bracer quest for four hours when I had no choice but to camp for 15 minutes. I came back in to the sight of a 50 warrior looting Regis =O (he took Regis for a guild mate, as he already had a level 60 cleric according to him). I congratulated him and chatted a bit, telling him how long I had been there, and oh don't I have bad luck sort of thing. Guess he had pitty on me though, because he asked how much plat I had on me. I had 89pp with gold. He asked me to put it in the trade window, and he put in this!! Yup, 89pp for an 1100pp item that requires this much work. Doesn't get much better than that =).

By "camping Regis the Reverant" I hope you mean "Camping Zahal the Vile." Regis will not spawn until Zahal the Vile is killed, period. The gypsie in the Rathe Mountains explains why (he was killed by Zahal, and he will only rise when Zahal is killed.) Zahal is actually something of a common spawn, I've killed him three times, myself. Once when I didn't know his significane (Bag of Troll guts? Buh,) and twice more when I happened to catch him on track (I gave one bracer to a friend, I haven't made the second yet.) I think he's a regular nightly spawn.

Yes, I meant that quest... though I wasn't camping Zahal, NPC's do him in quickly enough, causing Regis to spawn either way, and if you're off wasting time and mana on Zahal, you could get KSed on Regis. Happened to me the second time I did the quest.

Well, more HP is a good thing, but it would be nice if it was +WIS.

If my cleric got one of these I wouldn't complain, though.

As clerics we all know how much our kind **** off mobs during group battle, and we all know that a higher stamina gives you more hp. 2+2=?
