i was passing thru kaesora with my new hammer of judgement and got this as a drop off some random spider....vendor bought it for 357pp with 105 charisma in pok =)

All this Truesilver gear has nice AC and isn't very heavy considering the protection you get, but there just isn't anything that really jumps out and grabs you about it. My ranger is acquiring pieces of Ry'Gorr as his budget allows and the Ry'Gorr Battle Mail has an AC of 18, which is 2 less than this, but also has a +10 STR buff while weighing only 1.0. It also has +20 mana and +5 Poison Resist. I would have to value Truesilver lower than Ry'Gorr, even though Truesilver is harder to find since hardly anyone goes into Kaesora to find it anymore.
Heck, for plate classes, even a Netherbian Chitin (20AC, WT. 6.0, +2STR, +10 Fire Resist) is better than this and merchants sell those for less than 7PP if you are lucky enough to find a merchant selling one.
As you can tell, I'm pretty tired of people who value items in this game based on rarity or the level of the mob it drops off of as opposed to it's actual usefulness. Just because something drops off an uber spawn in a high level dungeon or from a planar being, doesn't automatically give it value even if it isn't actually useful to someone.

This is a Kunark piece, therefor it predates both your Ry'Gorr chain and the Neth Chitin. I assume the pricing data is from the time before stats on armour was commonplace and AC was everything.

Title says it all, wonder why no shammy. This is very nice ac for chain class arrmor, but is only wearable by plate classes and rogues. Guess they figured this is too much ac for a shaman at the level you can get this.
Rangers are NOT plate class...and we can wear it.
