I know there is a ring Type Quest in AC. Could this be New loot for part of that? Time to hunt up some Info. Good Hunting all.

I checked out Ring 'o Valor's website and it turns out SoE is revamping the Acrylia Caverns on the test server and this beautiful item dropped off a Grimling Arch Mage. What does this mean? It's not available to everyone yet but when it is, it's gonna require almost a full raid force to get(least, that's according to RoV).

1. AC is getting Revamped on Test.
2. ROV is not on Test.
They have beaten every ring event in AC Except for the Archmage.
First attempt with 50-60 60'th level people and they got their **ses handed to them.
This was their last attempt to finish this mob, and they did so.
If your guild had the Keys for AC, and the people who could handle the mobs, then you too could be wearing a +15stat (ALL) Necklace, and one of your lucky guildies could be wearing a nice ring.

Yes, it is a real item. I was the fortunate necro to obtain it. RoV is on the Bristlebane server and as far as I know, the only guild to take out the Archmage.
It would be interesting to learn if others have gotten this item or if mine remains the only one.

I don't see why it wouldn't be real. I'm not surprised by anything anymore in this game. There are some super-duper-uber items in some planes places that are verified and crazy good stuff sometimes pops up in odd places. What's frustrating is the lack of info. Like, what does it drop off of? Or was it quested?
I'm guessing Yes too.
Credible guild tag, credible item for the Ring of Fire. And if you follow their link that's what they concentrated on for awhile.

Oh, hehe, this didn't come from the ring of fire event but from the Grimling Archmage event.
