Why do people bash?

You know. Its really irritating to see people post about "dont try this til your 65 and uber" or "you have to be flagged and even then you may not get it."

Why do people bother being negative. Some people just like tradeskilling. Others do it for the items it yields. Not everyone has the same goals in this game. And in the end its a game folks.

So before you sit there and tell a 52 he needs to get levels "before he even considers such attempts," remember levels may not be his goal.

I am sure he has done enough research if hes a true tradeskiller to know what flags he needs and skill levels.

For anybody wanting the final earring, you need to know that it means being flaged for Elemental planes. It is not given to everybody (every guild).

Even if someone do part of the farming for you, the very last one (Hope Stone) is NO DROP and only drop on Elem planes.

Yes, but it is multiquestalbe. You do not need have elemental access yourself, you can pay someone who does to turn in the stone for you.

As Tradeskill Officer in my guild, this is merely a "thank you" for something I already do...and what better location for a somewhat uber item than the ear? Is there a crappier spot (other than charm) to uberize (new word?:O) Unless you are a druid and can have 2 solstice, you have to spend a fortune for an uber ear item...or yes....go kill a God. Well....since I'm level 52, I'll have to wait just a bit for the God killing, and I am purposefully waiting at level 52 anyway (Vox MUST DIE!), for the guild to be strong enough for Vox...so....in my case...This is a tremendously excellent task. God knows it isn't for everyone....but I am excited to begin! Time to finish my AA's on tskilling now! Plus....it's a challenge folks. Never consider a challenge a waste of time. This game could easily get boring for you 65's who dunno what to do with your AA's anymore...or what to do with your time.....well...here you go.

P.S. Here's my biggests question, having not studdied this enough. As a Paladin, will it allow me the Melee item? or force me to take the "split class" item? Anyone have a clue? That's the frustrating thing about a class such as mine :O(

At 52, you have a long time before you see the signet of whatever. Just work on your skills and hope your guild gets well past Vox/Naggy before you even consider any such signet.

p.s. And after a try at Vox/Naggy, maybe should level a bit too, you'll find AA's a lot easier to come by in the better zones for the NTCM skill.

Paladins receive the Signet of the Arcane.

Keep in mind that while Allakhazam's glosses over it, there are flag requirements for this quest. Until you have killed Bertoxxulous, you cannot even begin. =\

... good lord ... I consider myself a fairly active tradeskiller, currently almost done with prayershawl #7 .. I have to say just looking at the first quest here, this is as tough as prayer shawl #8 .. and to think the next ones only get tougher.

well, i just read all about the related quests and it looks like the secret of the plane quest.
the reward is way too low for all the troubles involved in the quest:
-get the apropriates flags
-spend the AA points needed so all your tradeskills can go over 200
-get the appropriate skill, and some really suck to raise

IMO another quest not worth the effort even if you are in a raiding guild

Umm yeah, besides being ready with all skills near 250 to make insane items for the entire guild when they get the elemental ingredients you'll have the ability to make the same items for yourself if you get the ingredients and make back all the money you spent getting 250 in them all in probably 1 sale. On top of that the earring gives 25 to all friggn stats, 130 hps 150 mana, gives a good solid FT3 to consolidate any loose FT1 or FT2 items you may have messing up your stats and to top it off an up to 15% mana reduction on all spell focus effect. This focus effect I might add is ONLY topped by 1 item in the game that drops off quarm rarely...

Liveye (lvl 65 Wizard)

PS- Trust me, it looks like a lot but if you're in even a mediocre guild that has aspirations of elemental you can get this earring. Also a lot of the tradeskills just take farming stuff to move it up and not a lot of money so put some of your bored time to good use.

I dont see the waste. EQ is a game I for one am going to give it a try lol hell I spent alot of time on shawl for my enc always wondering if it was worth it till I finally finished.

Thanks for the links on the final melee/caster items Cenyen.

And yes, this is not a waste to do. If the person inclined is committed to the completion of a progressive quest as this seems to be, then power to them. Its similar to the Coldain Prayer Shawl Quest, but made for the Higher levels to complete judging from the feedback and details outlined for the drops.

But one thing is for certain, a high degree in Tradeskills 200 ---> 250 is also required somewhere in the completion of each step.

If you are into item creations and have the funding to support Trade skilling, then this will become a challenge to the avid Tradeskiller, as has been the Coldain Prayer Shawl and the Coldain Ring.

Yes, someone might look upon the stats for this Signet and say it is a waste of time. But the point is this, it is progressive in Nature and the stats will only increase once completion of the next step is achieved. The ultimate challenge would be to gain the end results of which Cenyen has kindly linked for us.

I understand what you mean about the Shawl Cenyen. I still need to complete the 5th Coldain Prayer Shawl and I am finding that determination and stubborness plays a major part in acquiring the drops for the Shawl. =/ But this is something that I have undertaken to do, as I can only see the End Result at the end of the quest itself. And the final product is well worth my time and endurance.
