Any lvl may wear this, but the effect on it will not work until lvl 45, as with most armor from the Kunark era(i.e. Blood ember BP, etc etc.) Great twink item, but it would be better to lvl to around 50+ and go get u some elysian =)
Sure its a nice item but i wouldnt wear it... in raid groups i just group chloro and if u dont have that spell yet u prolly shouldnt be in the raid group to get the BP though buying it is another story... now on the price of 60K for this DAMN ull b waiting in the bazaar for a while buddy im sorry but id rather try and get like FT4 items for that amount ;p oh well yes clicky chloro would be nice but ill stick with what im wearing but if im in a guild raid where i know the ppl im raiding with ill prolly pass this up for other guildys (though usually by the time they get to this lvl raids i help em get better gear then this ;p) just my 2 CP
I agree......for the price and level requirement for the effect this is moronic to me. My level 23 Druid will have Chloroplast by the time he can use this effect. The only reason to have a clicky version would be to free-up a Spell-slot for some other spell. Not worth the cost when he can get better BPs for same price or lower. If it could be worn by other races/classes,especially Melees(Rogue/Warrior/Berserker) it would be awesome. They could solo like crazy :-) But SOE hates the idea of players soloing so they make it as hard as possible, forcing players to group. I don't mind grouping,IF I'm in the mood to do so,but I hate being forced to do so. Soloing should be easier. MMORPGs aren't just for socializing, but also to have FUN! Bottom line: For the price, get something better. Maybe something with much higher AC and Stats/Resists. More than 2k for AC 17 with minor stats is ridiculous. And 10.0 Weight? OY! My Back!
If it says recommended level, you can still wear it, you just won't get the full effect of the stat boosts, ect. If it says required, and correct me if I'm wrong on this, is the point where you won't be able to wear it.
It would not disappear and you would get the full extent of the stats(notice it has no recommened level). BUT you will not be able to use its triggered effect until lvl45. So its a nice bp for your druid, stat wise, but the effect doesnt do anything for you until lvl45.

What I have heard is that you do not get the full effect of the item's ac and stat bonuses until the recommended level, and you can't use the clicky effect until you can cast it anyway.
I have also heard that you just cannot equip it.
It would be nice to dispel the rumors and find out for sure.
I bought the ES Bracer for the Share wolf for my lev 15 dru... Not realizing that I couldn't trigger the effect... I equiped it just fine and it didn't dissapear (thats just silly)... but of course my lev 15 still has to beg 39+ dru's for shared wolf form... so there is your answer and I actually tried this... Zhuang Zi (51 monk) Gaeaman (15 Dru) Innoruk
it probably wouldn't disappear, you just might not be able to get the effect to work for a few more levels, usually it procs at the lowest lvl the spell is available to any one class
Im selling elder spiritist breastplate on the quellious server for 30,000pp<30k> send me a tell on thalas OR dexxeaa i will be on ALOT so PST if u are interested! Thxs

Posted:Mar 03 2002 at 9:16 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Hello.. I would pay a lot of real life money for one of these on the Karana server... If you have one e-mail me or contact me on Karana..
Well when you realize that you pay to play for the game it isn't so bad, at least for some people. It would take some people a while to get this (say a month) and if you jus pay cash for it you don't have to pay for the month to get it plus, you get the extra month's time to do other stuff
You pay to play the game, sure. so you can enjoy the challenge and fun of the game. If you just go buy a bunch of high level gear, that you did not earn, with real life cash, you miss most of the fun of getting the stuff. Plus you end up broke in RL. I pity anyone who uses real life cash to buy gear like this.
My char ran around in banded armor for 20+ levels, and now, at level 52, has over 100kpp in gear, all earned. And no, I'm not some hardcore player with no life outside EQ, I've just been playing for 18 months.
Now, here's my main point: I am very proud of my character, and his equipment, because everything on him was either looted from a mob I killed, or bought with plat I earned from things I looted or made, IN GAME, and sold.
And my money, instead of being spent on pixels, was used to buy REAL LIFE stuff.
60k for this? your server must either be really hard up for one of these, or everyone must have pp all over the place. This would be lucky to get 22k now. Yes, I know it has Chloroplast attached to it, but does that warrant 60k? No... If I had to choose paying 60k for this, or sitting around waiting for the leather tunic to drop in Kael, I would, um...wait around in Kael.
Or why not just fight in Umbral Plains and get the Elysian Tunic? Much better stats (just no effect)
Well.. i have the Elder spirits guantlets on my druid and i have to say that they look awesome! To anyone that has the full set i am forever jealous of you. The guantlets have the effect snare, and the BP has the effect Chloro, so does every piece have an effect?
I have the full set and choose not to wear them all. The suit is all dark heavy green. You can hardly see any detailing at all, no flair, no panache. So I wear eBoots and golden chitin bracers on one wrist and don my square helm for a touch of gold & silver to relieve the heaviness of the solid dark green suit.
yes each piee has an effect boots or helm have levitate arms have dod or drones of doom nice to keep some of the stuff in an EE bag or something for the effect but you have to have it on to use the effect so you have to change out when you want to use.. weight is pretty bad on these also but thats just my 2cp
Helm = Super. Camo. BP = Chloro....obviously Legs = Skin Like Diamond Boots = Lev Arms = Drones of Doom Gaunts = Snare Bracer = Group Wolf Form?(not sure about that one but i think thats it)
and that oughta bout do it for the whole set..
AC is pretty good for dru armor...but no stats other than the BP and legs. so to have a full set would be nice...but to wear a full set...i think not. i only have the gaunts and arms...and at 51...the arms need to go in a bag somewhere sadly cause i dont have time to root rot something at 35 dmg a tick i believe it is? especially since in 2 levels ill be double dot'n for 2k+ per minute
I have the gauntlets, bracer, helm, and arms... and I enjoy root rotting. I mem drifting death and engulfing roots. I root, then click the snare from the gauntlets (insurance and it's mana free) then cast drifting death and stack on the DoD from the arms (total DoT damage of nearly 1k per minute)... re-apply spells at around 50% of the mob's health (or as needed for the mob).
The nice thing is that 2 of the 4 spells I'm using don't cost me any mana...
Now to get back on the topic of this BP... I think it would be great for cutting manna cost even more when soloing. when root rotting I don't take much damage (if any) but the free chloro would eliminate the need for mana to heal when the occasional stray smacks me.
Could also be a buld DB update error when the beastlords were added I imagine all druid usable items had a beastlord flag added Same with Rowyls - Can beastlords really use it, I dont know anyone with and ES to check?
Ok,here goes folks, im a druid, and ill tell ya what, id use this!! this item is so awesome, i dont even know where to begin, but ill start with this. I keep regen up all the time, it has saved me so much trouble with healing that you wouldnt even know, its a life/mana saver. secondly, i ALWAYS keep regen up in my EXP groups AND my RAID groups. it DOES make medding for that next heal seem to come a little bit later and seems to give me just that much more mana for emergencies, sure, i never see the effects it seems, i mean, theres no sudden jump in life, but, i know its there, when ive been ina group and never got above 10M wihout regen, and then i start using regenand suddenly im at 40M all the time, tell me that aint noticing something. and as for the guy that said ALL druids are power hungry/wanna be gods. dude, get a grip, this item is extremely awesome, id use it ALL the time, and i would be VERY happy doing it. My only hope is that one day ill be on a raid where this drops, and ill get one, (doubtful, but hey, dreaming never hurts :P) as for everyone else that has this item, CONGRATS!!! this thing is great. and if you are a druid that says he/she WONT use it, well, frankly, your mad, nuff said.
Nice try, but folks wont be giving this away to anyone except friends or twinks. As our druids replace it with better stuff, it goes to their twinks, friends twinks, or to coffers to be sold for raid expenses. Funny to see things like this that were once considered the "best" and "uberest" are now only used for playing twinks in the off hours when not raiding. Will be interesting to see if anything is planned in the future to replace some of the NTOV drops or SoL drops. Some of the SoL drops we have so far have replaced some of the NTOV stuff... But not many yet.
We've killed Trak like well over 20-30 times and still have never gotten a ES BP in my guild. :( So its still looking like I'll be getting a Nature Walker's BP then ;) which is still rare to us :p
This breastplate isn't worth it anymore. It's easier and cheaper to buy 3 black marbles and go on a Kael or Icewall raid and loot the tunic to quest for the Velious BP. But if you haven't upgraded to Velious, like everyone should have, this is the best alternative; though your chances of picking one up are slim to none.
"But if you haven't upgraded to Velious, like everyone should have..."
Whats that supposed to mean "like everyone should have"? not everyone buys it when they want to. Most people wait until they get near 35 before they buy Velious. Even if i had Velious I probably wouldnt quest for a Velious BP any time soon, id much rather go for the ES BP

SUre its not out of velious but that doesn't that kunark ubermob loots is any less awsome. you try to find a bp better than this, he was an idiot
This is so far beyond the vermiculated tunic it's nuts, folks. 80 mana...do you people realize that is more mana than you could get from the 4 extra wisdom of verm tunic even at level 60? Beyond that, did it ever cross your minds that once you have 200 wisdom, which many druids do at level 50, wisdom is USELESS...but +mana never is?
And that's ignoring the effect that saves us 200 mana a cast...
And god forbid someone mention that ac and agi are what keeps us alive when things go bad...
Post luclin, the mana added by wisdom over 200 has increased. However, 80 mana is still better. From everything I have seen, the mana added when wis is over 200 is calculated by level/10. Better htan the 1 mana per wis that you used to get, but would still need 14 wis at lvl 60 before it was more than 80 mana.
