Bronze is generally not worth it

Unless you're a Dwarf or Halfling with maxed out strength and wearing small bronze, it's hard to justify the weight of this armor. Yeah, it's great protection, but if you don't have the strength to carry it, you won't be able to move or you'll only move very slowly. Even Ogres have a hard time with it because large bronze is a lot heavier than small or medium bronze. Just say no to bronze.
If you were me and I were you, would we still be friends?

All the standard Bronze Armor show a VAH can wear these items, but they cannot. It has to be Large. This is an error by Sony.

Have you tried equipping a VAH with regular bronze? I don't see any race/class restrictions on this armor for VAH.

OK, umm, i am currently wearing this, and really could use something better. I need something that comes in full body set. It needs to be cheap because im kinda short on cash. I thank you for a (reasonable) response,

You could get a full set of crusty shell armor.. its 1k for a full set. This is fairly cheap i believe after you look at the stats of the armor. As long as you dont mind having a charisma of 1.

size reduction
# Sep 29 2001 at 8:32 PM Rating: Decent
Can the little guys in WC shrink medium sized bronze armor to small, or do they only reduce armor with the word plate in the name? like fine PLATE, or crafted PLATE.

The two dwarves in WC only changes the size of Crafted Armor I believe.
# Aug 13 2001 at 10:12 AM Rating: Excellent

Ok, some simple math

17AC 9.4 wt 9.4/17= .55wt per 1AC
17AC 12.5 wt 12.5/17= .74wt per 1AC

reverse for AC per wt

17AC 9.4 wt 17/9.4 = 1.81AC per 1wt
17AC 12.5 wt 17/12.5= 1.36AC per 1wt

I'm not flaming, just trying to set it straight

5lbs per 2AC would make this BP 47.5wt for 17AC, a bit ridiculous =)

1.9 lbs for 2 ac seems like a lot of weight to take on for a small ac increase over banded. At least for my cleric. Maybe not for a warrior, I guess. Actually, its probably more for human sized, since the stats are for small bronze.

The Stats for medium sized Bronze Breastplate:
AC 17
Weight: 12,5

That would be ~ 1,5 lbs per 2 AC

Actually, if the weight is 12.5, I think thats 5 lbs for 2 ac, because, if i remember correctly, banded is only 7.5 lbs

This stuff is pretty nice little armor for starting out especially up through mid ranges. Not to pricey and fairly common.
Large Ones
# Jun 04 2001 at 5:31 PM Rating: Default
How come its hard for a 30th lvl Ogre or Troll to get large, but a 23rd lvl Wood Elf can go into Unrest and kill some little tiny ghouls and get a small full suit in an hour ?

This isnt cool at all.
Small Bronze!!!
# Jun 01 2001 at 10:05 PM Rating: Decent
Small Bronze drops all over the place in Unrest, kill Ghouls and Crazed Ghouls, level is around mid to high 20s. Lots of stuff drops, never seen gaunts, boots or helm though
What off of...
# May 24 2001 at 5:03 AM Rating: Default
I am trying to get a full suit of small bronze armor, all i have left is the arm, leg, and boot component... and i am nearing 20...

When i do i plan on going to mistmoore or unrest to get them...

so my question is what creature in those zones should i look for this to drop off of? specifically those three types mentioned above. Thanks to all who can help.

You can find the Bronze Leggings at Unrest. I played all day yesterday and retrieved 3 sets. You just have to be patient. Bronze collecting appears to be so random that you never know how much you are going of one thing you will end up with. I suggest trading with others inside the zone to complete your set.

someone obviously posted a duff price, which has now been removed. It's generally around 2pp per AC, but generally heads downward in price as a server gets older.

Bronze armor in WK?
# Apr 01 2001 at 9:03 PM Rating: Default
What creatures in West Karana drop bronze armors? and how often? Got beat down in Najena at level 27 by the big ogre guard... =(
RE: Bronze armor in WK?
# Apr 12 2001 at 6:54 AM Rating: Good
I do belive it is the ogres in this zone. YOu are too low I think to take the ogre camp here. he shaman and the chef con blue to me at 36. Plus the camp is next to the spawn point of two named cyclops. (I can handle one of the cycs with half mana, and don't fear them. But the chief on the other hand.... Lets just say I avoid the camp area.)

I'm playing on the newest server and I dont know where to get this armor and I'm very tired of banded. I need to know the mobs that drop this and which zones are the easiest to get it from. Please, I'm tired of lookin like a rogue! =) No offense to rogues =P
