I believe this bag is used in alchemy potions.
Ye are correct. We unfold our bag, put our Alchemy components in it, shake it up to combine them, and poof out comes a Potion.
A related bag is the Folded Bearskin Potion Bag which summons a Lore/NoDrop 10 Slot Small capacity bag. This is used to make our 5/10 charge potions.

So can these bags hold any items that can fit in the bag, or only certain item types ( like only certain alchemy things ).

Actually this bag fits in side other bags, but when right clicked on. It creates another bag. Now you may store items in this bag just like any other. If I am not mistaken the bag only has 6 slots. But I think it is real handy since it fits in other bags. The bag you create can be destroyed when ever you are finish with it, or it will just linger around until you destroy it since it is nodrop, but not norent. Hoped this helped some.

Actually it is not a bag but an Item that summons a 6 slot small size Lore / No Drop Bag that can be used by shamen to make their potions.
