Maybe it was just my lucky night on these, but I had two drop off the four emaciated zombies I killed in Gunthak.
The thing about this though is that I was at the bottom of the gulf, with my fishbone earrings.
Didn't seem a rare drop to me, but like I said maybe got lucky.

This is a tinkering component used in making the Geerlok Clockwork Contraption. In my experience, it is a fairly common drop. I have been camping Gunthak for several days now have have about 25 of these.
Got 2 of these in 2 kills.

I was camping on beach for named with a guildy and we were there for about 3 hours and i found 3 so it may not be that rare or i am lucky maybe.
Not rare i play there all the time with my shaman and they drop regularly.
