This works with money on your character, cursor, or personal bank account. Not with the shared pp slot.

PP in the bank --- Stats
3.999 pp --- none
4.000 pp --- 1 hp/mana/end
99.999 pp --- 7dex, 29hp/mana/end, 9 svFir/Col
100.000 pp --- 8dex, 30hp/mana/end, 10 svFir/Col

Max stats are reached at 100k.

No Longer NO DROP is tradable on all servers
This is a PoS
# Jun 08 2004 at 8:01 PM Rating: Decent
My experiences with this items aren't the best...

First trying to figure out how much money even give it some stats I realise that the money has to actually be in your inventory not in the Bank... AND it doestn't start to give stats until you have 3999pp on you. The stats with this much cash on you gives ya the stats +1 hp/mana/endurance... what a waste

Having all my current cash in my inventory (56015pp) the stats are sitting at +4 dex +16 hp/mana/end and +5 Sv Fire/cold

Unless your a dumb*ss and love those kind of stats and dont mind walking around with 100k (if you could even move) then i would recommend destroying this crap.

This charm measures your wealth in the bank too, not just the cash on you.

The Gold Pin charm requires you to have the money on you:

Elo travelers of Norrath and beyond.

Ah, ya I picked up this charm yesterday cus
it was real low cost like 2500p. Ya I'm on
Firiona Vie server. Anyway, wasn't doing much
when I got it- but today it did indeed begin
working. I estimate it max effect being attained
between 90k and 120k of platnium. Don't know
if it must be on person hope not cus that's
scary. But I toyed with it's stats in baz
search window before I bought it. Here is what
I feel is max bonus of the charm:

dex8 hp30 mana30 svfire10 cold10

guessin it'll be highly quested.

Uhm Correct me if I am wrong here but I do recall reading the poster saying he is on FV and if you go check the server rules you will see a little note explaining that a lot of NO DROP items are not NO Drop on FV

lol. i love it when people try to flame someone and end up looking like a total assmunch in the process. If you don't know that almost all items on FV are tradable then go back to playing nintendo.

Ya I'm on Firiona Vie server.

This particular server does not have NO DROP items. Most NO DROP items on other servers are tradable, sellable on FV.

What if this is based on server wealth and your ranking in the server of active characters wealth logged on at that time. Max stats only given to the 10 wealthiest active characters on a given server. Would be a simpler table to draw from and would only need to be checked when zoning or when logging on.
Max Stats
# May 03 2003 at 10:20 PM Rating: Default
The "max stats" shown on magelo aren't the "maximum" value for the charm. Magelo reads the "default" value. An item can have any percentage of it's default value, based off of whatever information the charm feeds off of.

For example... the "Bundle of Tiger Whiskers" charm has default value of 2 ac +4 pr +4 dr +4 mr or something like that.. and that can get better stats than the default... almost 3 times default values. It's probably the same for platinum disc. Those values are probably for 100k or for 250k in the bank, and then various multiples of that will provide differing results.

Still broken
# May 03 2003 at 10:17 PM Rating: Default
This is still broken after the most recent patch. Those of you with the item please file /bug reports to mention that it's still broken.. thanks.

It's bugged. Here's details.
# Apr 15 2003 at 1:51 PM Rating: Decent
I recently obtained a Platinum Disc and tested it by moving platinum between my account and my wife's account. Here's what I found.

With this amount (in thousands of platinum pieces) in bank, it had these stats:

0k no stats
5k +1 hp +1 mana
10k +3 hp +3 mana +1 fr +1 cr
15k +1 dex +4 hp +4 mana +1 fr +1 cr
20k +1 dex +6 hp +6 mana +2 fr +2 cr
25k +1 dex +5 hp +5 mana +1 fr +1 cr
30k +3 hp +3 mana +1 fr +1 cr
40k no stats
60k +1 dex +5 hp +5 mana +1 fr +1 cr
80k +1 hp +1 mana
416k +1 dex +3 hp +3 mana +1 fr +1 cr

For an item that says "improves as you accumulate more total wealth" it seems to work just fine as you go from 0 plat to 20k plat.. but at values over 20k, seems to be broken and assign a fairly random value to the charm for a given wealth level. Clearly bugged, IMHO.

I'm guessing that there is some programming variable that doesn't have sufficient length in the definition to allow for numbers much over 20,000 plat, and that above those values of wealth it gives a random result.

There's no way that you should have decent stats at 20k and no stats whatsoever with twice that much money if it's supposed to IMPROVE when you get more wealth.

Please fix this bug Verant!! Thanks.

#REDACTED, Posted: Apr 10 2003 at 1:42 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Dude, give it up... its probably broken just like that other charm that is based on pp was... you are giving SoE way too gd much credit man... They have spoken of putting charms in zones other than LoY zones... rumors abound of some in ST... maybe you should try looking there for your uber charm... nadox is a mid level zone easily... when was the last time you saw anything 'uber' come from a midlevel zone? Im not trying to bash you... im bored on my lunch hour... and just hoping you might see some reason...

Steamwalker, Scholar...

Thanks!! I found where he spawns... I did indeed get two in one spawn cycle. We got two masks. I know I'm camping the right spot now, so just a matter of months until he spawns with the plat charm more than likely.

Genuine, not fake.

To the person saying "you look phony"...

You will note it says "authentic magelo profile" and that if you click on the bank, you'll see the plat is there -- over 250k just as I stated.

As for building to 500k, I have a "white chain bridle" and "velium encrusted gauntlets" and a few 8th ring mq's. Once those are all sold, I should clear 500k.

So I'm not trying to "brag". Just stating what's going on -- I'm researching the effects of this charm at different wealth levels. You are welcome to do the same.

Have to echo what ppl said to your post below. Look at the recommended level. 25! No way any level 25 character is likely to be holding 500k (unless that character is a mule for a very high level player), not to mention millions of PP in the bank (OK, yeah it's possible, but not likely at all).

And the person saying you looked phoney I believe was commenting about you looking foolish for your comments, not that he didn't believe you may actually have 250k in the bank.

So you have things to sell, and so you may have lots of pp in the bank. The simple fact remains (IMO) that this item was not designed to be used by the top 1/10th of 1% in the game that may have millions in the bank, but rather by the level range of player that is listed on it's description. That said I think anyone could expect to see stats at around 500pp to 10,000pp and then it would just eventually cap out after that. Look at the other charms in the game so far. None of them are spectacular, and they grant most of their bonus pretty early.

I'm suggesting that THIS particular item was NOT designed for level 25-50. But that it was designed as a method of assisting the EQ economy by acting to have a "platinum sink" effect and thus stimulate the economy as high level players attempted to have more and more plat in the bank thus forcing them to sell their extra gear to lower level players thus stimulating the economy. It was designed to be acquired in the 50's.. and then start to be useful in the 60's and as people's wealth grows.

I wouldn't be surprised if it gives +8 dex +25 hp +25 mana +10 fr +10 cr for EVERY 1/4 mil plat you have in the bank, no limit... that would certainly make it an interesting charm, wouldnt' it?

RE: Genuine, not fake.
# Mar 30 2003 at 10:57 AM Rating: Decent
would be a nice plat sink that is for sure but you would have to make the stats alittle better like 10 dex agil str and stam with the hp mana and resist bonuses before I would go saving up 500kp for it

Where does the "trench master" spawn? I've never seen him yet.. and I wanna farm the heck out of this item.

Maybe even 150k isn't enough to activate this.. it's a high end item.. might be 250k is the min to get stats on it. I doubt it's broken. But to not give any stats at a certain wealth level... fine with me. Just get richer. :)

Might want to /bug and /feedback this.

I'm gonna camp the heck out of the charm... any hints as to where exactly the trench master spawns would be VERY appreciated... a /loc, a description of the placeholder, a description of the scenery around there.. anything would be nice.

RE: Activation level
# Mar 23 2003 at 1:25 AM Rating: Excellent
I wouldn't call this a high end item, for the trench master is an easy solo and is no more difficult than his unnamed PH. The stats aren't that great either. But for the large portion of players that have nothing in their charm slot, this is certainly worth camping.

Regarding your question though, the trench master spawns in the mines in the north of the zone of Nadox, east of the bridge. His placeholders are troll excavators. The Platinum Disc is his rare drop, Darkwater Pearl Earring is his uncommon drop, and the Coral Adorned Mask is his common drop. He isn't all that rare either, I've had him spawn multiple times on a single clearing cycle.

Not Broken...
# Mar 21 2003 at 9:03 AM Rating: Default
I suspect that this is NOT broken... but that most of the people testing this don't have the wealth necessary to activate the charm. People are testing it with 50k plat. Chump change.

Test it with 100k, 250k, 500k, 1 million plat, 2 million plat, 5 million plat, and 10 million plat and then see what the stats are.

I have 250k now and I'm working on getting the charm to see if that is enough wealth to activate it. I suspect it is. If so, I'll be building up to 500k then to 1 mil to check the stats at that level as well. But under 100k is not sufficient wealth to activate the charm I'd think... so if you don't have that much or more in the bank... don't bother with this charm.

Woah dude...
The money thing. Let's talk. Aside from any kind of "wow, you need to get some sun", I would like to let you know that LoY is intended for the mid rang 25-55 gap. This is probably to make sure lower level characters don't feel so excluded (to keep em as consistently drugged as possible to take their money HAHAHAHHAH), when you have people like yourself screaming about millions; when honestly (5 months, 59 druid) I haven't yet entertained the dream of millions of pp sitting in my bank.
So please don't act all snuity all over Allakhazam, it's ugly. Ubers keep it to 'emselves (well, most of em). You just look phony and eccentric (to put it nicely).

It is indeed broken. It's not giving stats to anyone that has it. Tried it with 150k myself. I don't actually think it has worked since the LoY release.

The magelo program reads item information that isn't available to us. This information is inherent with the item, for instance, it can discover haste percentages on items by reading the item information.
