i have been camping the spot there behind the secret wall pulling the merc room and warlord room i got the veil off the warlord and 2 bracers dropped also and the shoulder item from the merc, but the warlord definately dropped the veil for me.
tonight in the mines, a group of us were slaughtering trolls by the zone in to Nadox. passing the hall to the right after the secret wall is a room with 3 mobs. the middle mob spawned the mercenary.
I think it's cool for clerics. 10 dex helps channeling...add 3% mod and that's a nice boost. If you've ever tried to cast a heal or gate or divine aura while being pounded on, you know how important channeling is. Personally I'd like something with more raw hp but 10 sta doesn't hurt.

I know it has been said before... and I'm not flaming, just trying to prevent misconceptions... but dexterity has no effect on channelling as such.
Dexterity increases the speed at which you learn some skills, so it will help your channeling skill go up faster, but once it is max for your level then dex makes no difference.
Dex, of course, also increases your chance of a weapon procing.
But, back to the original point... AC, Wis, Mana, Hit Points and Stamina (more hit points), and a channeling bonus... I can't see many clerics complaining about this as a face slot item. I imagine necros and shamans would be even happier with it.
Actually this does not drop off the warlord.Or at least not exclusively.I got one off the Brokenskull Mercenary.I have yet to see the warlord drop this.
Still, the guys got a point. They wouldn't call it the "Mask of the Arcanist" and make it a melees only mask, would they? I really hate they way they name things alot.
Um you haven't been around long. Yeah they would make a mask of the arcane and make it melee only usable. Most items are named after the mob that drops it, not for the class that uses it.
Why can't the warlord be a sorceror or something? Who says he has to be a muscle laden barbarian warrior? Warlord just implies that he leads a huge army or something, not that he's necessarily a warrior.
not to flame ya pr get into a fight over it but in the 50-65 range a durration of that the warrior class is changed to a warlord so in sticking with name gamming they have a point and it would be that muscle laden barbarian or even that short burly dorf that most people like as a warrior
Warriors title of "Warlord" is between lvls 60-64. At lvl 65 the warrior is called Overlord. 51-55 he is a champion, 55-59 a warrior is called a Myrmidon. There are other few items that have 'warlord' or warrior labled on them and not only useable by warriors.
