Spent a few hours in Commonlands today, foraged 7 so far. Didn't get a one in NK.

Yep, west commonlands in the ticket. Got a plains roots on my second forage on the northwest side of the pond just north of Inkeep Olissa.

Since the commons changes I've not been able to forage Plains Roots. I had to foragers there for about 8 hours and neither of us ever foraged any. I was in NK shortly before and I killed around 15 - 20 of the beetles and got 1 to drop. So it looks like farming endless beetles in NK is the only way to get these now.

SOE ist totally nuts - first they make theses rotts part of a recipe in cultural tailoring for a humans and second its a rare drop/forage where as you need stack quantities for skilling tailoring purposes. ;-(((

Cannot forage them in NK. They drop from mobs in NK, are foragable in West Commonlands.

Just killed around 30 beetles and no root

You can kill 3-5 Beetles and get atleast one root but it is a long process. You thing they would make the drop rate for these items a bit better.
I'm not saying that they don't drop from the beetles, but I wouldn't go killing them to get these if you need plains roots. I have killed hundreds of all of the NK beetles on several toons and not once have I ever seen this drop from them.
The only reliable way to get plains roots is to plant a forager in WC and spend hours foraging them. My druid has a 191 forage currently and I have gotten 4 in an hour.
