I was at the rogue guild in FV on Zebuxoruk, and i was searchin' the merchant within the hunt. Low and behold, i find this gem for 44pp! Right now i'm giving it to my monk, if i don't go LD again!
All too often we forget that you can ask your friendly Ranger or Druid to assist you in tracking these semi-rare mobs. Your mid-level tracker will often look and snare your mob for you if you simply ask nicely :-)
Don't ask us to track Quillimane for you though :-) He just takes too long to camp.
umm...probably because bard track sucks...100 skill max or so? that right? probably a good reason he didnt mention bards, you can barely track your feet =P

Ok guys, this is a nice tunic, but at lvl you can get it, if you get it...you can go to plane of fear and get a shiverback vest..sorry shiverback much better) same graphic.
Yes, but can you give a twink a Shiverback-hide Jerkin? Didn't think so. Also, if I'm correct (and I think I am), didn't this item come out before the Plane of Fear was even made?
Hmm dont think that this was out or possibly found yet way back then as far as i remember Plane of Fear has been on EQ from day 1 just not accessable at the time.
If it isn't accesible it might as well not be in the game, that is like saying oh you need an EB item? Go to Veksar lots drop there(not that we know what would have dropped in Veksar)

The first plane to be in the game was the Plane of Sky, but it was not accessible to players. It used to be a "home" for GM's, and as a person who was a Guide, I can confirm this as well. This vest was out before the planes, before the current 'uber' gear, and at that time, this one was THE vest for monks.
Lucked out, was rezzing a friend by the scarabs last night when he trotted by. Caught up to him just past gypsy camp and rooted him. My cleric is lvl 52 and probably hit him for about 3000 hps before he died and dropped the vest. He did break root once but was dumb enuf to attack me instead of run away )
The price listed is insane. A foreman's tunic gives you the same AC, with somewhat lower stats, and sells in the very low hundreds. Stats are pretty much irrelevant compared to AC. This is a nice item, esp at zero weight, but no way would I spend a tenth of that price on it, with Crystal Covered Shrouds going for 400p or less.
Keyeluke Monk of the Silent Fist, 47th Circle Strange Brew Druzzil Ro
Not to mention that it has 0.0 weight.....also very very very good : ) with those stats and a weight of 0.0 I belive that this price is more than fare.
You're forgetting a few things... In EQ, a +2 wis earring sells for less than 12pp, but a +3 wis earring can sell for about 80pp, and a +4 wis earring can sell for a couple hundred...
Now let's look at this... 5str, that's 2 more than foreman... for a monk, the +3 wis on the foremans is nothing... now, let's add 5 sta, and 5 dex... as you can see, this is a LOT better than foremans... the other problem is that this is a RARE drop... yes, it is definitely not worth that much when you can find better, but this is a very good chestpiece.

I was helping my friend with her J-boots quest trying to get Hasten to spawn. Well, I was heading back from scouting around and someone trained this guy on me. I brought him back to my friends and we dispatched him and got this sweet item. My monk is very happy with his new shirt =)
From what I know... it is not only a rare MoB but a rare drop off that rare MoB... so unless you have the patience of... well a true monk... and can find a tracker with that same patience... I wouldn't recommend camping for this. Level 55 in my guild who has spent more than his fare share of time throughout his career in Lake Rathe... had him pretty much spawn directly in front of him while he was crossing the zone. Yes, serious luck (if you believe in it) is a pre-requisite for attaining one of these. Regardless... best of luck to you all... there are very few on my server. At least everyone who sees it tells me they've never seen one before.
Hey there. This is a pretty cool freekin item. I look forward to the day... thats all I have to say about getting it. Feel like an Idiot if I spent 15k on it!! But I will perhaps hunt one one day.
Anyway... Other question is what te graphic looks like. Anyone know? Please post if you do.
