Looted a bunch of these of the shadel bandits in fungus grove. Hope it helps someone out
This dropped from a Walrus Servant tonight.
Also drops from Slixin Klex in Burning Woods: got one drop in ten kills for the Mage epic piece.

found this recently in the revamped plane of mischief. dropped from one of the mushroom men near the zone-in
got this to drop off shattered golem in the grey. I've killed shattered a few times before, never seen it drop, so must be rare. Think i'd rather have the golems jawbone :-p

Droped in the undead tunnels in Nadox yesterday.
I looted one off a Shimmering Rockfiend in the Grey.
Then I sold it in the bazaar for 2k. : )

i got it when it droped off a swamp rat in pod
I got this and 6 of the other various research objects a few nights ago in Ssra. Seems the snakes drop more of the items than they do pages or runes.

I had this item drop off a named vampire, Gorelaz Verilak, in Tenebrous Vampire castle last night. I killed all the named vamps a few more times that night and it didnt drop again.
I am guessing that just like other research comoponents, this particular one drops off mobs of certain level. Just like you can find words for lervel 30 spells, on level 30 mobs.
So this item will be most likely to be found off
mobs in certain level range.

I looted off a Froglok Forager in Trakanon's Teeth
I looted this today in 'The Grey' off a Shimmering Rockfiend on Karana server, so drops are not just limited to POD.

This dropped the other night in Nadox off the undead near the docks. Sorry I don't remember what mob it came from, were getting lots of odd stuff down there.

Heh, we were on our way after luclin shards (VT key quest) in The Deep, when we came across this!
IIRC it dropped from a Razorfiend before the invisible bridge.

They're used in the new spell research.

This and Toharn's 21 (right) make Cleric spell Heroic Bond. Not sure what else it may be used for.
It's also used in shammy spells (the hard-to-find Malo, I think).
