Any loc on this guy. or random spawn?

I was wandering around in there and saw this same mob... a Lugglad Assassin, but he had a funky knife in his hand... (serrated dagger with green gem model) and so I found my way to a spot where I could single pull him... I got him over to me with no adds just fine but he started pummeling me for double 140's quite fast, so I had to feign him off.
I waited until the aggro chilled out and then began seeking a healing partner for this critter and eventually found a 56 or 57 druid willing to help drop him. With him spending all his full bar of mana on heals plus a DS we were able to get him... but barely.
He dropped a Pure INT caster olny knife... stats were:

25mana
as I remember it... I forget the name.

oh, PS - this was in the chamber at the end of the first tunnel going off to the right after entering the secret luggald caves.

I waited until the aggro chilled out and then began seeking a healing partner for this critter and eventually found a 56 or 57 druid willing to help drop him. With him spending all his full bar of mana on heals plus a DS we were able to get him... but barely.
He dropped a Pure INT caster olny knife... stats were:

Took the assassin with 46 paladin, cleric, ranger, beastlord. He seemed to have 10-12k hp because a 500 point Retribution took a bit over 4% off his life. Was only able to get one to stick, after proccing Journeyman's Stick.
Was messy at first... had an archon in the corner that we were working on when he popped out of nowhere and whomped on the ranger. Paladin killed the archon (with chain stuns and nukes from the cleric, because we didn't want it healing the assassin.) and in the time the archon fell, the ranger and BL, including pet! hadn't gotten the assassin down more than 15%.
Max hit close to 115 on a 46 paladin with 1001 ac.
Got the ring... very nice upgrade for the cleric, over the 6wis ring she had. :)

Took this guy a few days ago with my 59 Bard.
Charmed the 'a luggald assassin' and used him to clear -the entire room-, and he was still! only at 50% life.
Chant-kited him before the respawn, picked up another ring :)
The couple times he did hit me, it was ~130-140 damage... which was odd; Bard has 1040ac, but previously when I took him with the Paladin, who had 1001 ac at the time, he wasn't hitting harder than 115. *shrug*
