I did this quest at level 24 (with help of course) and got almost a whole level worth of exp :) very nice item.
magelo has it at 24% .

Pretty much anything that can be obtained easily from lower level mobs will never have more than 36% haste. Something that drops in an area like this most likely will only have 24% or less haste MAYBE 36% but definately not 40 or 41% haste. That is just a general guidline you can follow for future reference.

My cleric had looted the amulet that we got as a train came out of the temple and we started derailing. We were in loot and kill in case of a death. Only amulet we have seen in three weeks of camping in there. I had part one of the quest and the ink jar. We turned in the amulet, and then I turned in the part one and the ink, wham, about 3 pct xp shared and then the Anulet... Nice upgrade to my glimmering mithril torqe.

EDo you have to do the first haste neck quest to do the second one?

The item recieved from the first quest is needed as a turn-in for the second quest. Therefore, you must either complete the quest yourself or haved it MQed.

I just completed this quest and i must say i really like haveing the haste in my neck slot frees my hands up for something like Cobalt Gauntlets with a clickable effect! I camped the Bloodgurds for about 3 hours before the jar of broken skull ink droped! The Bloodguards are not easy either, i had a 55 bard, 54 monk, 56 cleric, and 51 warrior all in my group so be prepared for a fight. We camped the bloodguards at the Torgerian, Nadox zoneline, very easy to get there if you have a druid to lessor succor you there, anyway that is just my 2cents worth!

Okay, this is how you do the 2nd one.
1st Piece, A Jar of Broken Skull Clan Ink:
Go to the Torgiran Mines, and pull the Bloodguards just past the see invis wall. All the bloodguards probably drop it, but I got mine off "a Broken Skull Bloodguard". It is a JAR of Broken Skull Clan Ink, not a VIAL. That part is wrong in the writeup.
2nd Piece, A Dark Ore Amulet (Crypt of Nadox):
The Bridge over the lava is right next to a wide open area with a campfire in the center. If you are standing on the bridge and looking at the fire, the area you need to camp will be to your far right. It contains Vehement Blackhands, the mobs that drop the Dark Ore Amulet.
After you get your Vial of Broken Skull Clan Ink and A Dark Ore Amulet, go back to the Gulf of Gunthak Lighthouse area and see Gwenn Lonnes. Hand her your 1st Necklace (Dark Cord of Broken Skulls), your Vial of Broken Skull Ink and your Dark Ore Amulet. Yes, turn in all 3 at once. Then she'll give you your Amulet of Dark Waters.

this is really nice for casual players that can't raid every day to get Uber haste items, like me lol, not to mention its in the neck slot, wich will give my monk his belt slot back from the FBSS. and as a side benifit its faster than the FBSS 8) very nice in my Opinion

Posted: Mar 12 2003 at 9:47 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This item is probably best suited for a monk with epics, FBSS haste is pretty low, lowest haste item i can think of that is worth spit, i know there are lowers but they are all alot lower and are pure crap...Also all haste belts sell for like 20k+ and monks are almost required to get FBSS or spend lots of money when they get their epics, or have to switch off their SCHW click their effect of epics and put SCHW back on, of course the epics have better stats and much better haste, its tough to find a worthwhile haste item in a non handslot for the price, FBSS is ok, but once you get your epics its an item needing an upgrade, and this neck piece is an awsome alternative to FBSS/SCHW for epic monks, something alot of monks think about while doing their epic, "What haste will i use after this?", if they are using SCHW, which i know many monks do.................
