But personally, as a 52 Enchanter, Id rather have int then mana. My Siren Scale Robe (+10 ac, +10 int, + 10 vs fire and cold) is better imho. 5 Int will give more of a bonus then 65 mana, even though the mana is nice to have as a side.
For this reason, I also refuse to use a valorium ring of Galantry.
Imho, Int > Mana
Natem Shadowchasing 52 Chanter on the Seventh Hammer
Actually Natem, at your level, assuming you have your Int above 200, every point of Intel gives you about 10 mana, roughly. And that's really what Intel is all about, generating your mana pool. So, pretty much, treat the Flowing Robe of Catastrophe as having an Int of approx. 11.5, hope I helped ya!
Falconwing Pinballwizzy Level 52 Wizard on Mithaniel Marr
I do know server prices vary, but about how much does this go for? As shown in the pic, it's not no drop even though they have it listed as that above it. Any casters have an opinion as to about how much it'd be worth?
I saw someone wearing one of these robes once and I wanted one because it looked like a BP. Well I went and finally obtained one. Was not real easy. Proudly put it on, and nothing. It just looks like a robe now. I ask everyone around me. Still looks like a robe. So they must have changed it with the latest patch. Still a good robe though.
He doesn't summon. You could probably take him by throwing the trash mobs around him at him. 65 paladin (me) and 65 necro killed him. He got me down to 70% health only because I didn't heal and the necro didn't lifetap.
People tend to think that int/wis type bonuses on items are better than pure mana, but i am fairly certain that post 50 the pure mana will be much more usefull.
This item worn also looks like a Purple Plate BP, very cool look I was glad to find it, managed to get it with 55 Beastlord and 65 Bard very easy, the mob was a chanter type so watch out for charm.
This robe is proof that SOE can sometimes, even if it was by accident, actually make gear drop that has stats relative to the level you'll likely be when you would get the item...
This robe is attainable with a group of 50ish's, and in all honesty, twinks and guildhelp asside, at 50 alot of casters are just about grown out of their Crystalline Robe or Shining Metallic Robe. This has only 6 int, but the 65 mana is actually very nice seeing as how most casters are over 200 int by 50. AC, unless very high or very low, is someone negligable at these levels for most casters (necros and chanters might like ac a bit more than wizards or mages), and losing a couple points isn't going to hurt all that much.
not bad, but a corection needs to be made its not no drop. this is better then crstaline robes its got the ac. which is something we see all to little of on caster gear.
Sorry for the flame, rate it awful or whatever but Questmaster...go play the game. Thats all I need to say. Once you do, you will see how dumb all of your posts are, NONE of them help in any way whatsoever to anybody that could possibly read them.
Yes, at lvl 50 65 mana is like an extra 6.5 int. So the robe is more like 11.5 int at lvl 50 if you want to look at it like that. And port 200 int you still get a decent mana to int ratio of 1 to 5 until you reach 250 int.
