Last time i saw this on the nameless is 25k, it's the best charm item for ench and bard i have seen in those days. i guess it is why it's so expansive

I have to mention that Necromancer Lich and Skeleton forms are Illusions also, and STA and CHA are two nice stats for Necro's to get free boosts to. Great charm.

I just bought this for my 63 Dru for 6.5k on The Rathe. Don't forget that Druids have wolf form (which I happen to use as much as possible.).

These charms are in the bazaar (Tribunal) half the time and I have never once seen them priced over 10K. Brought mine last night for 8500pp and the trader even added in a 5 Dose Elixir of Concentration for good measure. Average price I have seen on these have been 9K.

Main reason I got this was I have no charm and wanted to fill that last empty spot plus I'm in wolf form 95% of time so works fine for me until I can find something better.

Uhh... are those SUNGLASSES? (Norrath must be more evolved then we thought)
Also, this is a kinda wierd effect if i do say so myself. I'm thinking the best way to have that effect is being in wolf form (or werewolf, tree, elemental, skely, ect) for a long time. A illusion clickie would sure help....
Got it yesterday

Well I had read about this charm before but when I first ran into this guy it was an accident. We had zoned into the crypt from gunthak and during a fight we succored and ended up at the torgian zoneline.

So we started fighting into the shrine and he popped after killed the one in the middle of the room. Of course my Bard wasn't there so I told the druid to take it since niether the cleric or my mage had any illusions. I don't plan on getting the AA skill for my mage.

Anyway I wanted one for my Bard so I camped him there and went back in with my mage and a cleric.

Cleared the inside of the shrine probably close to 20 times over the next couple of days.

He popped 4 times total (including that first day). Twice off of a Broken Skull initiate so it isn't just the brusiers that can spawn him. Considering that there are more bruisiers than initiates you could even say he pops more off the initiates. He dropped 2 ranged slot items and two charms so it seems to be a 50% chance. The other thing I noticed is he never spawned when I pulled the mob away from its spawn point but I am not sure that means anything. When you get 4 spawns in hundereds of kills its hard to say what exactly is different.

The spiritchamer guy spawned probaly twice as much (unless he was popped somewhere else which happened once). He drops a pretty good shaman or ranger bracer which I sold for 1k in the bazaar.

I would pull to the sides of the shrine because people sometimes run through the middle of the room leading to one death for the cleric and a quick gate for me.

Also the loot is pretty good in this room. Especially if your a mage like me and can summon bags to carry the weapons (5pp each to vendor). The Torn Cloth Eyepatchs sold for 23pp to a venodor and the Unholy scribblings sold for like 95pp. They also drop gems. Overall I made like 5k and that is without selling any drops other than the one bracer (I have 3 more)

FOR BARDS!
# Nov 05 2003 at 2:38 AM Rating: Default
I remember reading a ranger's comment about how its better for him than it is for a bard. Dex and Cha are a bards most important stats and this charm adds 10 to both. The sta is good for any class and even better for a melee class which a bard is as well.
Bards are the only melee class that can use the charisma in combat, not to mention that bards can cast illusions on themselves, not just in the outdoors like your rangers, but indoors as well.
It doest even take half a brain to figure this one out, dang ranger.

Ever heard of Harmony? Better Charisma = less chance of resist.

And if a Bard had been there when it dropped, I would have been cool with him rolling. Anybody that can change form without having to buy potions to do it, should roll on this. Now that it's droppable/sellable, it's more moot than it used to be.

I love bards, they help me regen health between fights :)

Does Skeliten form from a AoN count as an illusion for this charm. I know htat there are some illusion that the charm doesn't count.

Thanks for letting me know.

Yes it does. Although the stats for a necro, if so the question implies, as I am necro also, are very puny. Just the +6 sta is ok.

Got this charm last night. I was one of only two people in the group that can illusion myself. I think that's the key! If you can't cast illusion on yourself, like you're a monk or a warrior, don't roll on this unless nobody who can wants it. As a Ranger that can take wolf form outdoors, this charm is GREAT! 10 Dex and 6 Stamina, plus I now sell in Wolf Form with my Cha gear on in PoK!

Good Bard Charm
# Aug 16 2003 at 10:54 AM Rating: Decent
In my somewhat biased opinion, i think this charm is best suited for a bard. I spend all my time in my Dark Elf illusion when i group or kite. Now i know alot of classes get illusions they use alot but i think the modifiers are what makes it best for a bard because both charisma and dexterity affect our casting and how much we fizzle...so in short, i want one, seriously i want it so bad, im trying to do this stupid xoomix charm but the oil wont drop. I prolly could have got the charm of deception in the time its taking me to find the oil. Anyways, good charm, and thats my 2 cents.

HP
# Jun 17 2003 at 11:01 AM Rating: Decent
This adds about 26 HP at level 64 as a bard, and the dex and cha is very helpful.

Most of the charms I have seen have not had that much HP or Sta, so this is one of the better charms around for people who want hp.

Permanent Illusion
# Jun 11 2003 at 12:24 AM Rating: Decent
This charm can have a permanent effect with this chanter AA (excluding deaths). The dex is good..dex/interput argument aside..but the CHA is very useful for me as a 63 chanter, as an extra slot item it allows me to get some of that nicer straight int items rather then the cha/int mixed gear which is so hard to find.

My point being, i'll be camping nadox here soon for this charm. Hopefully something better doesn't come around right after i get it hehe.

Lame Farmers
# May 30 2003 at 12:20 AM Rating: Default
For all those level 65s looking for the charm...don't you have anything better to do than kill green mobs while there is a group trying to get xp from those same mobs? I understand you want this charm, I know the stats are nice for some classes, and I know you want to be more uber than you already are but stealing xp from groups who need it is just lame. Work out a deal to leave certain mobs for them, help them kill the mobs, whatever... I for one will destroy the charm <since I don't need it> if it drops if there is a level 65 in the zone killing mobs that I could be pulling and getting xp from.

That's something you'll have to take up with SOE. I hate having to do it myself. Nothing is much more of a waste of time, than farming greenies. I really can't stand it. Unfortunately, SOE doesn't care about that. Which means, you'll always see some high-level character farming things. Nothing's worse than running around in EastCommons killing spiderlings for their silk so I can smith... :( If there were spiders in Plane Of Valor that dropped spiderling silks, you'd never see me in EC. If there were mobs that dropped this charm anywhere else...I'd be there. But I paid for LoY which gave me some added things....like Charms. I'm going to use the expansion (including hunting greenies) because I paid for it....just like YOU did.

Thanks! :D
RE: Lame Farmers
# Jun 11 2003 at 12:06 AM Rating: Decent
Exactly! I mean I help folks that are in the area as consideration, but if you think i'm giving up the camp that I'm grudgingly sitting at waiting for one drop your just silly. If your trying to get XP there's tons of places in THIS same area for you to go. Tell SOE to make more upper lvl mobs drop this item..until they do that i'll be sitting here waiting to get a charm to fill the blank spot I got on my inventory when I bought LoY.

And find a way to post a point of interest intellegently, instead of insighting terse replies from folks who care.
RE: Lame Farmers
# Aug 14 2003 at 2:48 PM Rating: Decent
I suppose it's frustrating enough to have "lame farmers" camping mobs you would like to kill for exp, loot, whatever.. But remember, the reason they're farming them is because they have loot that is decent.

You are going to complain about SOE putting decent loot on sub-65 mobs? If they put all the good drops in PoP zones, to keep farmers from camping in leveling zones, can you imagine the outrage?

Looks like everyone's favorite whipping boy just can't win.

Well if you dont want to see "lame farmers" just go on the Firiona Vie Server where anything green you hunt is trivial. That means no drop of loot!!! On top of that you get to RP a bit and no drop items are very rare.

he spawned for us when we were killing at the Gunthak zone line , popped from a resting acolyte i think it was .
Necros can use too

By the way this also works for necro's when you are in lich or Arch Lich form :). Which as a necro I am almost always in one of these forms.
Just got one tonight when the mob that drops it popped right on top of a mob I had just slain..
Quite a easy mob for a level 60 necro to solo. Didn't resist one Dark, Fear, Lifetap DoT, or Poison DoT.

Karsonizzak Bloodblade pops out of Shrine Bruisers, located in the Crypt of Nadox in and around the "shrine" at the Torgiran Mines zoneline. Easy way to get there is to zone into Nadox from Gunthak and then use Succor. He doesn't drop the charm every time. Be prepared for him to pop immediately after death of Shrine Bruiser. Spiritcharmer Somethingorother also pops in that area and has common drop of a bracelet.

This was a fairly easy fight for me (64 monk) and Bloodblade was light blue, but he does hit pretty damn hard and I was glad I still had MEND up.

This isn't the perfect charm for a monk, but hey, something is better than nothing. Shrink doesn't trigger it, but any illusion does, including the essence potions made by alchemy.

someone posted on here about Cha not affecting mez landding %. sorry but you are WRONG. period. I am a bard(troubador now) and there is NO doubting that when i have a high end cha buff on that my mez are almost never resisted. It even seems like my targeted songs seem to be resisted FAR less often but i wont say they are as i have not really paid attenion to that in combat. it does not affect mez length(bards are fixed at 3ticks, if it sticks it does for full duration unless broke)that is correct. As for the lowering agro chances of pacify type stuff, you seem to be wrong there as well. #1 it DOES effect the resist % of those type spells and songs #2 as far as i have been able to tell the only thing that effects of a failure to pacify(type of spell or song) are 2 things. first is your DISTANCE from the mob(in other words the further you are from mob when spell is resisted the less a chance of agro) and second is your level. A green mob seems MUCH less likley to agro than blue, a blue less likely than even, even less likely than yellow ect ect. High cha also affects CHARM resist %.

This is something i have looked VERY closely playing bards on 2 servers(51 on my original server and now a 55 on the rathe)
RE: charisma
# May 24 2003 at 8:18 AM Rating: Excellent
According to the devs at a fan faire in Dallas along time back, cha has very little effect on mez/charm. The main factor in mez/charm is the level of the spell cast. As far as bards go I really dont know but my main is a 65 Enc with a huge unbuffed cha of 160, I rarely get resisted on either mez or charm, and never put up my cha buff unless i need a crap buff for a dispelling mob.
RE: charisma
# Apr 25 2003 at 7:38 PM Rating: Default
First, Cha affects the resists on all bard songs, except group songs of course.

Second, when using lull, cha affects 2 things:
1) resist rate
2) if resisted, there is a cha check, if it passes, you dont get aggroed, if it fails, you do. Higher Cha makes lull both less resisted, and less chance of aggro on a failure.

This is a loose quote of a EQ Developer, so I know its right.
RE: charisma
# May 06 2003 at 5:28 PM Rating: Good
With 85 Cha I've NEVER got agro from a lull being resisted.
RE: charisma
# Jun 30 2003 at 8:14 AM Rating: Decent
at 108cha i often had resist when i was under 25 with lot of agro, and sometime when not in an outdoor zone, a death..., now, at 49 i've almost no resist, i dunno if it s just caused by my String skill or my lvl or even by my grandmaster corker( +50cha), but i'm sure that most of my song are less resisted since i got my corker...
