I reached the gobbo fort with my druid level 39. Its a slow camp with a druid of course. Too much down time. So I thought, i'll just switch in my level 30 monk until Grach pops. Simple, right? Quite. My monk can handle the regular gobbies. But, guess what? Someone decides to show up while I had to druid on. Level 46 monk. He can out damage me by just a little bit if I just keep nuking. I'd know, he KSed me. Pulled Grach with a snare and monk just decides its his pull and attacks so I go all out wizzie. Lost it to him, but nothing dropped so thats good. So this **** goes on and clears the fort and nearby. So I let him do it =)... I kill Grach a few more times and right before I had to eat dinner, earring dropped. YAY!!! So after I get back from dinner, I run up to him and right click the earring in his face a dozen times. Of course, he was really pissed that I just sat there while he cleared the place and that I killed his Grach spawns. I'm happy. Idiot pissed me off. He gives me a /rude and continues to clear the place. After he logged, I left.
After right clicking it so much, I tried a different view. I was running at the moment... a fireball... so I show some of my friends... "Wow, that looks so kewl!"... I'm thinking.. "I should head for EC tunnels and fireball through it.." =)

Anyone know this stacks with Monk Epic Effect Celestial Tranquil?
Since it is an Attack buff, the effect on Monk Epic will override it.

Another good thing here is that as an SK, it free up a spell slot and ever having to mem Grim Aura again. That is good in my books! Also like many said, a good junk buff on Raids.

If you are a Agnostic Monk around level 45 don't even bother trying to go into West Cab, you won't make it out alive. Everything inside will be aggressive on you, WATCH OUT!!!
This is one item you would keep forever--you may not know why now, but later you will =)
If you get your hands on this KEEP it!
BTW Sometimes mobs will dispell spells in the middle, or the second spell from the top, HOWEVER the vast majority if the time if its a single dispeller (like ww dragons for example) they will dispell from the top slot, all you do is key this item to a hotkey and click it after each dispell, boom you keep all your buffs during the fight. Biggest cause of downtime is putting up junk buffs and rebuffing after every dragon/mob.

For the person who said it's useless to casters, you've obviously never had to chain-cast a spell...an insta-click like this immediately refreshes your spell gems-no more 2 second delay. Yeah, 2 seconds might not seem like much, but when your enchanter is getting beat on by a level 55 mob cause they didn't like that last mez attempt, 2 seconds is an eternity...

Seriously, do you think ppl are getting this earring for the increase in attack? It's a insta cast right click buff who acts as a cover for your more important buffs so they dont get dispelled. As son as it get dispelled you refresh it. Nobody cares what the buff actually do. Would suck if that cleric aego would get dispelled instead. I'ts well worth the camp.
I was looking at the requirements for the guild Afterlife and this is on the list. First thought is this is useless, then it occured to me that this item is an extra intant dummy buff. I have been on raids where the dummy buffs would wear off before the initial attack, not only that the dragons will debuff your other buffs after it debuffs your first ones. Sooo, I'm off to BUY the earing. No way I'm gonna waste a week camping this, in that time I could gain 1 or 2 levels. I'm 53 at the moment, gonna be awhile before I meet their other requirement but I'll find another guild in the meantime.

So according to your theory, Vilanye, out of the spells that were dispelled from you, none of those could have been grim aura? NONE of them, not ever in your entire lifetime? Unless you've only been dispelled once, or never, I doubt that is true. So if you would like to save mana and use it on something other than rebuffing yourself, get as many right click item buffs as you can. I would have thought a high level person would have known that.

My top buff was endure magic, then resist fire/poison then the rest. With one spell I lost the resist fire and resist poison buff, and the top buff my endure magic was still there. So it appears to me that you won't always get your first buff dispelled. So this item is completely worthless.

Having more buffs on lessens the chance that a needed buff is dispelled. Once your Grim Aura is dispelled, it's insta-click back on, thus lessening again the chance that you'll lose your Aego or KEI.
Skyfire do nots count for much. Go to Western Wastes or Temple of V and play with real dragons.

You are missing real dragons like in WW ToV where they dispell the top buff fast. in 1 fight they can clear 10+ buffs, if they kill your resists you are dead. as for casters not wahnting, I am a shaman an d I use this and my boots to keep my resists up, I need the redused dam or I am dead from AE's
There are some dragons that AE Dispel in the order of your buffs like Dozekar in TOV. Things like this earring and bracer of the hidden work very well to keep your buffs from being dispelled in this long fight.

I had camped this guy for around 20 hours and only received 2 of the totems, one which rotted due to the LORE tag. But tonight I hit the jackpot. I not only got another totem ( sold the last one for a quick 500pp ) but got the shrunken goblin earring. Then about 3 Grachnists later lo and behold another one dropped--very excited since these arent lore. I would like to get the other earring he drops but it must be super rare since no one I talked to even knew about it. These sell ( goblin earrings ) between 2-4kpp on Luclin server. And Grachnist an the Pit Fighter Dob also con light blue even to a level 46 PC--ive made close to a yellow off these guys in XP over the 4 days i camped him...Good luck to you getting one..by the way most of the time he spawned in the fort but once in a while spawned on the other side of the bridge.

It only took 45 minutes. He spawned 3 at once . One had the totem. The fourth time he had the earring. So yes, it still drops as of 2 hours ago
If you didn't bring your lucky rabbit's foot, be prepared to be frustrated with a long camp. While doing this camp with my lvl 38 warrior, I have killed Grachnist 95 times now. No earings! 5 totems, 2 goblin slaver's whips, and 95 pairs of worthless gloves. The only good thing about this camp is that by the time you get this item, you will become non-KOS to Leg. of Cab.

i was helping a friend with his greenmist quest in dalnir.After we finished..i did a /WHO all and saw a lvl 60 chanter..in WW asked her if she was camping grach..she said she was donr been there over 17 hours no earing. she sayed do you want me to hold camp for you ..I though id give it a try...after about 8 pops a monk gave me a tell asking if he cold have the camp next I said sure about another hour later its been 2 hours now i told him to come on down..as soon as i said that POP i got jumped from behind by grach took him down and he had a totem and earrin.I was a getty as a school girl on prom night..As i was leaving the back way across the bridge i saw him again..i told the monk if he get here quick there is a spawn wating here he said take it he wsa stuck in dalnir.so i took it and what to my suprize another earring..sold one for 8k and kept one..=) not bad for a 2 hour camp.Looks like il get my jade mace after all..

Camped this punk for over 6 hours today with a friend... :( no earrings, just Iksar Scaled Gloves everytime and his skull. :( Probably killed him about 40 times, maybe more. Ugh, I dont wanna look at another goblin again :(

Finally got this yest evening after my 12th kill.I have been told the spawn rate is random but ive only saw him spawn in six certain spots now.Damn i wish i could track id be rich.i was wanting the totem too but after 26 kills he still hasnt dropped it.I also saw a guy in NFP trying to sell this for 6.5k which i thought was a lil steep but he said him and his friend (who had tracking) dropped this guy allmost 300 times and he only dropped 3earrings so i guess i was real lucky to get on 12th kill.But GL to everyone trying to get this..jus try to get a friend who can track to help ya.

I'd killed this before with my druid and never had any luck though I'd killed a lot, except for my very first time not long after kunark was out (dropped iksar gloves AND earring). My troll sk was finally level 36 and bored and was now able to keep that big fortress camp cleaned out on its own.
Finally a grachnist popped and it was a pretty hard fight though a blue con and got the troll down to less than half. He dropped iksar gloves AND this earring, which is very nice because its still instant use unlike some other items which were nerfed.
Part of the value of this is not the grim aura itself but that every tank who does certain dragons wants an instant use buff right clickable. What they then do is when fighting something like the dragon Doz who dispels, they have this in the first spot as a buff and right click it again as soon as the dispel comes and Doz removed it. That way most of their "important" buffs for the fight have a chance of not being affected.
Unfortunately horses have severely screwed the economy on my server (everyone wants to make money for horses while not spending any money on items) so I probably won't be able to either sell this or trade it for something I want like a bone mask of the jarsath. Sad.. In all liklihood I'll end up giving it away to someone in guild who needs a right clickable.

in the past 4 weeks i have been able to get 8 of these earrings and 6 totems of the warrior spirits, the earring is easy to get once you figure out when to camp him. the longest it ever took me to get one is 3 and half hours. i even had it drop back to back one morning.

This spell will increase your ATK rating by up to 10, allowing you to melee for more damage, not usually a noticable difference. Useless by lev 40, which is about the lev required to acquire this from Grachnist by " Coersion". :) ( 2cp thats all, rant if u want to )
Finally got one of these the other day and have cast the Grim Aura proc on myself continuously for past couple of days....equivalent of 12-15 hours of playing time. Well, continual pulls in KC as my guide; the Grim Aura proc has not done a damn thing in all that time. Now I remember when I cast it on myself as a necro...it would proc a reasonable amount of the time if I meleed. This procs NOT AT ALL. Has it been nerfed to anyone's knowledge? Messed up by SoL? I get the Grim Aura Icon on my buff subscreen...but not ONE SINGLE Grim Aura proc in fights with close to probably 150 mobs over a couple of days. What gives? Thoughts?

Perhaps Ruakton, if you had a clue, you would have realised, that the original poster (gatordude) was talking about Vampiric Embrace and was a little confused, mistaking the right click effect of the earring for this other necro spell. Vampiric Embrace has a random Lifetap proc. Grim aura is just an attack buff.

Isn't that an attack rating buff? You're thinking of the other necro buff that procs a lifetap.

Grim Aura increases your ATK by a decent amount of points (at 40). Vampiric Embrace procs a random 20hp lifetap.

Hehe, I didn't know what the heck this earring was all about, friend asked me if I wanted to camp it with her, said ok, killed Grachnist or whatever his name was maybe 3 or 4 times before the earring dropped, I won the roll, got me an earring. I found out after a few days that the earring is about a 15 - 19 hour camp and that on my server, the damn thing goes for about 9 - 12k... and I thought it was a little peice of junk =p

Grachnist can spawn anywhere in the zone. he is usually hunted in the gob fort however since the density of gob's is higher there and the camper doesn't need to go far. Ive seen him everywhere from near the FoB zoneline to the OT Zoneline, Dalnir to Cabilis (Ive also seen 2 of him up at one time and an insta re spawn).. Ive killed him over 100 times I would guess as I run though the zone (tracking is wonderfull) however I have yet to get anything except the gloves and his skull to drop.
He is a random spawn in WW (goblin fort). Just kill goblins there and he will pop sooner or later.
