this is NOTHING like the necro darkelf starting gear off hand quest. it has 5int and i see lvl 40 necros using it

For the level, this is probably better than 5 raw int in terms of mana. It's not that bad, but you won't use it forever either.

I wish people would realise this more often...

your lvl / 5 * (int < 200) = mana

meaning for every point of int at lvl 10 you get 2 pts. mana meaning this Item at lvl 10 gives the same raw mana as 7.5 int....I say that's damn Uber.

<<your lvl / 5 * (int < 200) = mana >>

I believe its
(int/5 +1 )* level = mana

With your equation you will get the same mana to int ratio i.e at level 10, 15 mana = 7.5 int, but when your computing your TOTAL mana you will be off in mana points equal to your level.

Also, I think they did away with the 200 int/wis cap.

Regardless, as he said, every point of int is equal to level/5 mana.

Easy comparison on items, is for every 5 levels, 1 int is equal to 1 additional point of mana.

Level-- Int = Mana
---5--- 1 = 1
--10--- 1 = 2
--25--- 1 = 5
--50--- 1 = 10

This works really well when doing a search on this web sight.
When looking for an item, place the x factor of mana at 1 and the x factor of Int at the equivilant value. Have it skip any other multipliers.

The point value of the items will tell you how much mana it will give you.
