# Jul 12 2004 at 9:44 PM Rating: Decent
Yes, overall, i have found drogmors better

They are found in the lighthouse next to the banker in Guilf of Gunthak (sue new stone in pok) the small cost around 9.5k.
Some people before have said they are not worth it, but seriously, the awesome help of the sitting with no agro helps
They are big i must add, so i usually illusion gnome

Drogmors are far better than horses, unelss you count the aa horses 8)

The colors don't make a difference in speed. The set prices with over 110 cha are listed below in order of size.

9,449PP
31,499PP
65,099PP
103,949PP

If you have charisma over 110 it will not make a difference on the price. I have 170 and the prices didn't change.

is there any difference between the colors of the drogs....or are they all the same just different colors for fun...........

There is no difference on the color, its only for the look.
mana regen?
# Jan 30 2004 at 9:10 AM Rating: Decent
Do Drogmores replace KEI? In other words, if I buy a Drog, can I stop the endless buying of KEI?
Do you re-gain your mana at the same rate of KEI?
RE: mana regen?
# Mar 11 2004 at 12:53 PM Rating: Good
No, it doesnt make your mana regen faster. What it do is you dont have to sit to med cuz you are already siting on your mount. If you are a caster its great, you dont get any sitting agro and you are always medding. Horse and Drogmore(sp) help you to take less damage when falling.

Well it doesn't make your mana regen any faster than sitting but leaps and bounds better than standing! I also recently discovered, in addition to the reduced falling damage, that I can still run away full drogmor speed when down to low health. Got knocked down to 4% last night in OT soloing my necro and was still able to outrun a tiger and rhino. Whew! (using the 30K version...and am now convinced it was worth every cp)

#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 19 2004 at 3:00 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Just so everyone knows ...... DONT EVER BUY A HORSE!!! Buy a Drogmor instead. The horses big fat head partially blocks your view and is a targetting nightmare. Drogmor heads dont block your view and are every bit as fast as horses. HORSES REALLY, REALLY SUCK!!!
RE: HORSES SUCK!!!
# Mar 03 2004 at 8:46 AM Rating: Decent
Before you jump on a Dino bandwagon here - if you are shrunk - horses head disappears completely from the screen. For my shammy - I shrink myself down - summon my horse - it was like I was standing up - no issues with targeting at all.

HP Regen... same as normal Sitting or Standing?

Only have one question about the Horses / Drogmors.

When on a mount do you Regen Health as if you were sitting? This could make a large differance to Trolls and Iksar ... and esp Troll and Iksar Shamen and Iksar Necros.

I already know of the great no-agro meditate, as my cleric has cheep horse. So I'm assuming the health regens like you are sitting as well. If not this could be detrimental to Necros.

Hmmm you know what? Why am I bothering to ask? I should go check myself ... my cleric has a pony. I can just see how his HP's Regen on the horse Vs. Standing withouth the horse Vs. Sitting without the horse. I'll have to answer my own question on here soon as I can get online (which since I'm out of town will be a while).

Yes, when on horse or drogmore(sp) you get the same regen as if you are sitting.

Bought the 100k one with 120ish cha it cost 103 and change. I raced my brother Shamen and I ended up waiting on him at the end of a race across the grounds running from the Nexus stone to the far wall as you pass the soulbinder...long story short it was a fair race no diffrent pathing just a straight line...Hes lvl 58 with what ever spell is his fastest traveling spell at his lvl. I was quite impressed....Its kinda neat catching Bards;)

I spend all my time killing the Grimlings on the platforms in Grimling Forest. The Acrylia Runes go go 1-5.7pp each and the Windstones go for 100pp in the Bazaar. With a KEI I usually earn about 500-700pp in Acrylia Runes and another 400-800pp in Windstones.

Kill HGs in RM or NK ... FGs in (forgot the name of the zone, sheesh) ... go to TM and kill the Geos for their Runes that sell for 4pp or so a piece and stack. I am sure there are more spots, but that is what I come up with off the top of my head Smiley: smile hope it helps!
Hmm...

Something's odd here:

I've had a look on Lucy, to try to get more insight into the Drogmors. There seems to be 4 types of spell assiciated with the 4 drums.

Small Green Drum = SumLizardGrnSlow1
Green Drum = SumLizardGrnSlow2
Large Green Drum = SumLizardGrnRun1
Giant Green Drum = SumLizardGrnRun2

So far so good. Seems pretty reasonable. But what is this effect: "SumLizardWhtFast" on the White Glowing Drum? (There's also that same effect in Red, White, and Black, by the way, but they aren't associated with any items so far.)

Link = (http://lucy.fnord.net/item.html?id=59504)

I don't know where that drum comes from, or what it does. Anyone have answers?

RE: TBoots
# May 24 2003 at 6:29 PM Rating: Decent
Consider this brainiac.......using a horse or drogmor is equivalent to sitting for medding purposes but doesnt cause the normal agro associated with sitting. So 9.6k for agroless perma-medding or 4-6k to outrun something........IMO 10k is massivly less then what its worth
Speed With SoW on?
# May 11 2003 at 11:09 AM Rating: Default
If you have a SoW on the lowest speed drog, do you run at the SoW speed or the Drog's speed?

I also have AA run3 which I hear is higher the the speed of this level drog. Will I run at run3 when mounted on it?

RE: Speed With SoW on?
# May 11 2003 at 10:20 PM Rating: Default
If you are on a horse/drogmor you will move at its speed. Run 3, or any movement buffs you may have will not change this.

RE: Speed With SoW on?
# May 28 2003 at 12:25 PM Rating: Default
I noticed when I first used this that my SoW didnt drop but I did slow down. So it seems if you keep SoW up with the mount, if the bad guys get too close just dispell it and accelerate to SoW speed.
drovalgspeed vs run3??
# Apr 27 2003 at 1:55 AM Rating: Default
If you have run3, and but the 9k drovalg, when you use it does it run at run3speed(30%), or its own speed of 25%??

medding while moving is good, but if your gonna move slower I might have to reconsider a purchase

There are four sizes of drum, small drum, drum, large drum and giant drum. One each for black, white, red and green. The price does not change depending on the colour. They can all be handed in for a probably partial refund.

All these people are inside the windmill, if you want to see them before you buy, they are outside.

Talk to Hizaklom Trappleton to buy a summoning drum, prices whith 110 CHA are:

That'll be 9449 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 9 copper for the Small white drum.
That'll be 31499 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 8 copper for the White drum.'
That'll be 65099 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 7 copper for the Large white drum.'
That'll be 103949 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 5 copper for the Giant white drum.'

That'll be 9449 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 9 copper for the Small black drum.'
That'll be 31499 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 8 copper for the Black drum.'
That'll be 65099 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 7 copper for the Large black drum.'
That'll be 103949 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 5 copper for the Giant black drum.'

That'll be 9449 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 9 copper for the Small green drum.'
That'll be 31499 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 8 copper for the Green drum.'
That'll be 65099 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 7 copper for the Large green drum.'
That'll be 103949 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 5 copper for the Giant green drum.'

That'll be 9449 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 9 copper for the Small red drum.'
That'll be 31499 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 8 copper for the Red drum.'
That'll be 65099 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 7 copper for the Large red drum.'
That'll be 103949 platinum 9 gold 9 silver 5 copper for the Giant red drum.'

If you want to hand them back in then these are the poeple you need to see and the messages they give. The messages may or may not have meaning, I dont know.

Osborne eyes dart around the lighthouse crazily. 'WHAT! I didn't do anything, leave me alone! Oh. . . You're here about a drogmor. . .very sorry I didn't realize. The red ones are very. . .energetic? But I've been trained to handle them. If you've got a wild one you want to get rid of, show me your drum and I'll see what I can do with it.'

Olden coughs violently as you approach him. He looks rather sick. 'Hello Etheldave, you might want to stand back. I've got a nasty cough and I don't want to be spreading it around. Hopefully you haven't come to sell a green drogmor back, I'm afraid I might be allergic to them and that will make my cough even worse! Oh, but I suppose I'll have to buy it back from you if you're sure you don't want it. Show me your green drum and I'll make you a platinum offer for it.

Hoyt says 'Hey you! You look like someone lookin' for a good deal! Got any white drogmors that have seen better days? I'll be glad to take them off yer hands. I'll even give ya good platinum for 'em. I'm not too fond of black or red though, and green clashes with my eyes. You'll have to talk to one of my brothers if yer wantin' to sell one of those colors.'

Vailin says 'Greetings Etheldave, I suppose you're here looking at the fine drogmors my friend Hizaklom has for sale. Fine, fine beasts they are. They'll most assuredly get you where you want to go, and safely at that! Of course, if you decide that you're not happy with one of them I'm sure we can work out a deal. I'm in charge of the black variety. Which are obviously the best I might add. I won't touch any other color. Give me your calling drum and I'll give you a fair price for it.'

And lastly the conversation with Hizaklom leads to this:

Well hey there youngin', what brings you to this neck of the woods? Lookin' to buy one of my trained [drogmors] are ya? Well ya come to the right place. I've the best prices in all of the land when it comes to drogmors. And you'll not find a better display of fine animals anywhere! So if ya got the coin and the inclination, I've got just the thing to improve your traveling situation. Step right up and take a look.'

You say, 'what drogmors'

Ye've got an eye for quality. After we [found them], I raised these beasts up from wee little ones, I did. Now the trolls would just as soon turn a drogmor into a tasty meal as look at 'em, but I know how to train the docile beasts for riding. By the look on yer face I know what yer thinking. They may seem a mite lumbering and ponderous, but once they get to going you'll not be disappointed. They can match a horse, hoof step for hoof step. What do you say, stranger? I have to run a business and the drogmors need to keep out of the stew pot.'

I couldnt get him to respond to anything containing [found them] in (no brackets of course).

But to my mind the crucial phrase is 'They can match a horse, hoof step for hoof step'.

So in the spirit of nicking info from somewhere else (care of Zestee):

here are the speeds of the Horses and therefore Drogmor...

9K Rope Bridle = 25% Movement Rate Increase
30K Leather Bridle = 50% Movement Rate Increase
60K Silken Bridle = 60% Movement Rate Increase
100K Chain Bridle = 70% Movement Rate Increase

They cost a little more than a horse, unless they have upped the price, but have no head to get in the way, are lower to the ground for looting, trading etc and some people think they look better.

You probably was trying to say it word for word, but like so many NPC conversations, Verant actually took some time to make you change the dialogue so you didnt sound stupid...or as stupid. Try the statement "Where did you find them" and i bet you will get something.

I curently have a black rope bridle i paid 10230pp on kane bale server for.
Can i trade it in for a drogmore drum?
Also if i turn in bridle to vender in bazaar do i recieve back the same money i paid for it?
RE: trade ins
# Mar 21 2003 at 10:40 AM Rating: Excellent
You will not receive the same amount of money that you paid for it. Depending on your CHA at the time you will receive around 66% or less of your 10230pp.

You can't perform a direct trade to my knowledge.

And since the the other drums aren't listed yet let me list the speeds that I know of:

9k mount - seems about the speed of a normal run. It's slower than run3

30k mount - close to run3 speed, but a tad slower than jboots

70k mount - no info

100k mount - Faster than spirit of eagle cast by a lvl 55 druid. You can slowly pull away from Grimfeather in NK with this mount to give you an idea.

As far as I can tell lizzies and horses move the same speed at equivalent price ranges.

The colors have not been proven to have any special effects as of yet.

Lizzies are MUCH easier on your food stores than horses, have no head in the way (a big plus), and are a little lower to the ground (making looting easier it seems).
