The crystal chitin shield is also very nice. 20ac, 9wis and 40 mana. They are real cheap now too.

This is a terrific upgrade to my Charred Guardian shield. As a battle shaman, I struggle to achieve the right balance of Armor Class and Wisdom. This one one fits the bill.
The resists and lack of weight are a plus too!

This is a nice find if you often play in small groups. Two level appropriate players can score this item.
Some notes on the MOBs. They cannot be rooted. Certain types cannot be charmed. Others cannot be slowed. Be on your toes friends.

Sorry, this has no relevance to this item, but I'd just like to recommend to the original poster to purchase a Sarnak Battle Shield or Bladestopper.
