Smithing
# Aug 14 2001 at 6:53 PM Rating: Decent
Personally (and I know this is a waste of a good item for others), I'd use this for smithing... Having an item that gives STR and INT is nice for smithing, and it's hard to find them both in one nice little package... I'm currently using STR4 INT2 earrings while smithing, and this would blow those out of the water...

CR

CR in HS is a definite pain. Almost nothing sees through a rogue's hide/sneak, but Bile Golems always do. Can you guess what mobs are in the way at the bottom of the traps and at the tunnels near the bottom portup? Yes. Bile Golems. =)

Thats what a necro/sk would be called in for ;)
nice item

I offhand a Sarnak Skullsplitter anyway, so the +8 pr/dr on the SSS cancels out the -8 pr/dr on this item, I get to see invis (definately a plus on a PvP server), and get some other stat bonuses as well.

#Anonymous, Posted: Jun 06 2001 at 8:51 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) dude you are a fool, this item is extremely nice. It adds a lot of good stats, and an effect of see invis. 10k isn't all that much unless you are a nOOb and since you think this item is a "pos" you obviously are one.:P

This earing is definitely worth about 10k, but your perspective is probably skewed, seeing as your from a pvp server. Still an awesome earing for anywhere, but on PvP this would rock so much more because of the see invis. However, the minus dis/poison resist isnt so hot though if your fighting a shaman or necro.
who drops this??

which mob drops this, what kind of mob is it and what lvl can I attain this at (not too sure about lvl 45 if they don't have a mob)? also, that's the wrong pic for it heh, friend of mine has one

Dropped by Embalming Fluid in the South Wing of Charasis. It is the rare drop, the common is the enshrouded veil and the ultra-rare is the Hand of the Reaper.

And 45 is not even close to be able to hold a camp in Charasis. At 45 you might be able to handle the zone line with the two roamers and the double Pyre Golems at the door to each wing. (note: the east stairs are false, you will fall and die without safefall or lev).

More appropriate level for one group to hunt safely in South Wing (or any of the wings really) is 55'ish. You can do it lower, but the chances of wipe out are much larger, and CR in Charasis is a pain.
