The drop info for this item is likely wrong...

It HAS dropped off of a Possessed Warmonger, but never off of the Possessed Warlord.

So far every drop in the Ring of Fire seems to be limited to one mob only, barring the vendor trash.

My question is are skill modification items stackable ... I have geerlock and trophy was wondering if i should use both when doing my combines

No, only the highest mod is used. In the case of trophy and geerlok, since both are 5%, it doesn't make a difference which you use, unless you need the int.

Where does one confirm this? Has SOE came out and said it? If so, where? Im not doubting you but just want to know how you confirmed it.

Rogue analysts first identified the mechanics of skill mods and skill stacking by parsing backstab damage with backstab mod items.

They discovered that:
1) Skill mods do not stack, the highest takes precedence.

2) Skill mods will not push a skill above 252 effective points.

Which is why most tradeskillers stop at 240, as 240+5% = 252, the max effective skill possible.

Note that int/wis casters max at 252 Meditation skill, as well. In theory, Med mods are useless to these classes. Further evidence that 252 is the absolute cap.

It bears mention that these conclusions were made in the height of Luclin and may now be obsolete. But most people live by them to this day and seem happy to do so.

Seems like a easy one to confirm nowadays... as when ever you open a trade container with new TS UI it will show your current (item modified) skill in top right corner. Yes I am aware this post was written before that came out, just pointing out it can be verified in game now.

I know about geerloks, Trophies, Gauntlets of Dark Embers (+15% to Smithing), and those silly Vahshir armors. Am I missing anything else that has a tradeskill modifier?

The grandmaster items for each tradeskill also give a percentage bonus.
