Legacy of YkeshaAll the woven widow silks I got dropped off large widows, not giant widows.
I found them south west of the bridge, south of the curve in the river. There's a low spot around loc -437, -1214, +32 that everything seems to path through. Large widows are an uncommon spawn; I didn't see more than one or two up at a time, and the woven widow silk dropped about once every three kills.

got 10 of these in 3 hours of killing everything in southern tox. I was killing everything to get spiders to spawn as there was hardly any up in zone when I got there (a ranger was looking for woven silk at the same time for an alt). I didn't pay close attention the first bunch I looted but my last 3-4 all came from Large Widows.

I was there about a week ago or maybe 2. Killed some hatchling and some other spiders around the arear by the water. got 2 of them in about 30 min on CT server.

I started up a Euridite Necro a few days ago.
I've basically been fighting for the past 12 hours looking for one of these guys to spawn and kill them for the silk.
In that time, I've seen...
0 Widow Hatchlings
4-5 Large Widows
6-7 Giant Widows
And gotten... 3 Widow Silks.
A bit peterbed, I switched to my Druid, and started tracking them. I found dozens of hatchlings, mostly on the "good" side of Tox Forest. No silk on any of them, so I moved to the POK book on the evil side of Tox. 3 hours later, I see my first Giant Widow. Kill it, no silk. Haven't seen one since.
Disgustingly difficult. It's just not worth the effort, unfortunately.

SOE must have fixed the rarity of drops with last nights patch (10/13). Killed 6 large widows in Tox this morning, and 5 widow silks dropped, all right by pok book on evil side. Goodluck everyone!

I got 2 trackers in Tox forest, one working the north side of river, and one working south. We both are slaughtering everything. NOthing seems to be a PH for either the large or giant widows. We only get one large or one giant to spawn at a time (every 30 minutes or so), and they maybe have dropped one woven widow silk every 10 kills.

No. These are droppable. Feel free to find a nice ranger or druid to track the mobs and kill them for you.

....that has more of these widows than tox does? Because they are hardly ever to be found there. On rare occasions can i find them there and then sometimes they dont even drop the woven widow silk.

I HAVE GOT SOME OFF OF THE WIDOW HATCHLINGS IN TOX ALSO. THOUGH NOT THAT OFTEN.

They drop off Large Widows. The Giant Widows drop Woven Spider Silks. Also, the large widows are not that common.

Actually, they drop from widow hatchlings, large widows, and giant widows. The problem is, they also all drop woven spider silks. The large and giant drop spider silk, and the hatchlings can drop spiderling silk.

Can someone please tell me which creature drops these, or how to make them?
