These things drop all the time in Nektulos off the araneidae spiders. Dunno why they make them drop here when its for a newbie quest in erudin and other zones.

Bonebinder Hatchlings and bonecrawlers in Field of Bone also drop both thorax and femur fairly often.

Was surprised to see it drop off Noxious Spider in Sol B.... I wonder how many lowbies it would take to raid the nox...

Yep in Sol B for us also. We just destroyed it since those armor quests are totally a waste of time at any lvl. Soooo much easier if youre low lvl to just collect a few spiderling silks and LQ pelts and sell em in bazaar for coinz to buy much better armors there. (Plus we were all lvl 57-61.)

Gigantic Woolys in everfrost drop the femur and the thorax all the time. they are located at the very south zone wall, next to the south tower.

Ok, i was skeptical, didn't believe that giant wood spider parts would drop off wooly spiderlings. Had a Barb a few months back and was killing them right and left and don't remember ever seeing them. Anyway, last night was completely frustrated by no giant wood spiders so decided to take a run (well, ok PoK) trip up to Everfrost to check this out. Turned toward the ramp into Halas, saw a wooly spiderling and gave it a couple of good whacks and looted.......... a giant wood spider thorax. Go figure. So, now i'm completely outfitted from head to toe in my new green armor. Thanks for the heads up.

Add Everfrost to the list as well off of the wooly spiderlings --- a giant thorax off a spiderling -- doesn't make sense to me
Great scott! They're everywhere!

As of the May 14th patch, these things are dropping off of 1st level Crab Spiderlings in Innothule at an insanely high drop rate. Like, almost every spider I've killed with my n00b Froggy warrior has had one.
