I've been killing "a large snake" for a long time in BBM and Qeynos Catacombs. They do not drop "Large King Snake Skin" but rather "Large Snake Skin" from the ones in Butcherblock, and "King Snake Skin" from Qeynos Catacombs.
The only "Large King Snake Skin" is from "a Large King Snake" in Qeynos Hills.

On the contrary, "a large snake" did drop a large king snake skin yesterday in Qeynos catacombs. fyi.

I have been finding Large King Snakes fairly consistently in this general area of Qeynos Hills: East of the Sayers and North of the tower by the road to WK there is a small valley of sorts with several trees, and if you kill everything in that area you usually see a few large king snakes every hour. Sometimes you get regular king snakes, sometimes its fire beetles and assorted bats but sooner or later I get a Large King Snake.
I have no idea if this is a set spawn with placeholders or just the normal chances of a king snake spawning in Qeynos Hills at any given location but its worked for me so far. I did buy one large king snake skin off a druid who claimed he got it in Qeynos Aqueducts but he could not give me clear directions on where.
Giant King Snakes I bought one skin off a ranger in Qeynos Hills who said he has only tracked and killed two of them in a week of hunting there, so they are ultra rare spawn apparently.

Loc is very good and these are not no drop!
These are impossible to get in Qeynos Hills. The "a large snake" in the aqueducts seem to always drop a "large king snake skin" however, so this might be the better place to hunt for that component.

been hunting in the hills for ages now, to no avail. Killed a few of them, no skin drop. Aaarghhhh!!!
Where are the aqueducts ? I'm level 8 druid, is it safe for me there ?

The Qeynos Aqueducts are the sewers in Qeynos. There are many ponds that have tunnels leading down into the sewers. there is a secret wall in the newbie area that has a tunnel you jump into. The lv range is 1-65; everyone, and no one is safe there.
It is also the guild/starting area for shadowknights, necromancers, and evil warriors, magicians, enchanters, wizards, and clerics from Qeynos.

Large King Snake Skin is also used in the Bertoxxulous Cleric noob armor starting in Qeynos aqueducts.
