Shadows of LuclinAfter seeing the spawn point in the SW corner of the zone STILL camped, I decided to kill some vamps. Checking track out of habit, I saw 2 tormented on track. One was at -1000, -1150 on the side of the hill by the SE Coterie "village" - Southern hill in the village valley, halfway up on the north face. A grimling orefinder or darkwing bat popped there as a PH if the tormented didn't. This isn't such a safe camp if you can't handle dire sonic wolf adds.
The other spawn point is on the hill that butts up against the southern wall of the big Coterie castle, right next to the front door. He was just standing on top. An alien (soldier normally) or darkwing bat pop as his PH. No adds wander up on this hill, so it's safe to camp this spawn, but be aware the PH's spawn in about a 30' circle.
One more piece of advice. If you have the ability, camp any of these spawns in wolf form. If you are a doggy, the tormented and/or his PH's will aggro you automatically. You won't miss a PH spawn this way.

Can anyone confirm this and give a loc possibly? I can confirm that the tormented no longer spawn at the locs given in the walkthrough on this site as I have spent many hours there in the past week without even a ph spawn. I did however catch one on track and it was very near the loc given in the above post. Also the spawn seems to be more rare than it was before they changed the spawn point. If anyone can add info to this I would appreciate it. Thx :)

Umm, dropped off of Tormented Vah Shir in Tenebrous mountains, who are very rare spawns in both the southeast and southwest corner. They are around lvl 40 or so, and a bit underconned like most of the mobs in the zone. You need eight for the Shield of Bane Warding Quest.
Not only are they very rare spawns, but it's a fairly rare drop, as well. Might want to bring a friend or two, to help pass the time.

These are not rare drops, the Vah Shir are a rare spawn, but each one drops a skull. So the spawn is rare, not the drop.
