can anyone who has made these or is going to try post some info on failure rates etc so we can know what to expect if atempting to create these ourselves rather then purchase in the bazaar. also a base idea of what these parts run for per server maybe for a raugh idea of its cost to make pls?
Formulaically, you can expect a 52.5% success on these in the long run if you have maximum skill (a modified 252, including the effects of a geerlok, trophy, or other skill mod item). In practical terms, this means that on average, one attempt out of two will succeed. In some cases, you'll succeed on the first try, and in other cases, you'll fail ten times in a row. But on average, you should see about a 50% success rate.
From my personal experience, all the elemental planar armors seem to follow this general guide -- I get about a 50% success rate on average.

I just made two attempts with max (252 modded) skill. Both failures.
I bought the Ice (I swear I had some, can't find it!) for 8000pp each, average is about 8.6k, bought soapstone powder for ~3500 each as well, have only seen it once and soapstones sell for 3500 (again, only one for sale, heh).
I play on Morell-Thule and need some new arms!
(Note: Other than my own personal need, my main basis for making Farwater in general is to make PLATE to help compensate for the apparent lack of equiptment for my guild's plate wearers - the balance of Plate to other-class players in all guilds seems to be overly high (people just want to play warriors/knights!) and the drop rate for normal gear seems to be intended for a more balanced player base. We need more BST and Casters!
