Just as sapphire items (int/str) are good for int based hybrids (bards and shadowknights, but especially shadowknights), ruby tmes are great for wis based hybrids (beastlords, rangers, and palladins) who need both the str for their melee abilities and wis for mana. I'd imagine shamans, druids, and clerics might want these too, as it can't hurt to be both stronger and wiser, but at a certain point they don't get into melee fighting that much and will concentrate mostly on wis gear. But hybrids will always need both.

Something important to realize when pricing items to sell is the level of the consumers you're trying to reach.

This item has +4 Str/+4 Wis. It's a very good item for any wis-based caster, as Str is always needed, at least for carrying stuff.

However, this item has higher level versions, which means that anyone who wants to shell out serious money for such an item will probably NOT want the Silver version, and would proceed to buy the Platinum or Velium version.

In essence, this means that to sell this item at 300pp is not wise, considering that the ones who will want to buy it are lowbies who need an upgrade, but can't afford the Plat or Velium versions. Therefore, about 220pp is a good choice, as it will give you roughly a 90% profit rating, while staying at a reasonable price for lowbies who wish to buy from you.

This is the silver (lower level) version of the player made wisdom veil. It has good stats, but unfortunately no AC (i don't think any of the veils do). The Wis is the critical one for my cleric but +4 strength is also a nice bonus. I got mine from a guild member as a gift, but would certainly have paid the average price listed here. Really would like the platinum version, but this is great for now (level 16 cleric). Gonna upgrade my chest item to make up for lack of ac. If you are just beginning to upgrade your wis, look for earrings and rings first, since you probably don't have armor class item there. All in all, a pretty nice item. BTW the high wis also helps improve your trade skills, like blacksmithing, brewing, etc.
