Man the second i saw this link i wanted it. Whats not to love, awsome stats+ V4+ MP4! Ele gear ownz
Seems kinda funky to me to go from the regular ornate with Mana Regen 3 Boots of the Khati Sha and take away the regen for a weak MP4.
IMO they should have *added* MP4 to the regen and not taken it off /shrug

Hardly, MP4 > FT3. This covers off the highest beastlord heal to 65 and saves like 40ish mana per cast. That would take 13 to 14 ticks to make up that mana loss. The Veng4 is much more useful in most situations than ft3 (at least for raiding).
Personally, I like the boots the way they are MP4 + Veng4 was a great trade for FT3. I'm down to FT8 but wth I've always got tons of mana when raiding anyways but can never have enough atk $$

personally I have never noticed a difference in gaining or losing a little biit of ATK...gimme the mana regen anyday. I do the same DPS with 1500 atk as I do with 1900...
I sat down one day a while back and did some calculations on what some actual mana savings would be for the various effects under different casting conditions. There is also a spreadsheet link for anyone who likes details.

Posted: Jul 26 2003 at 6:36 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Should have been flowing thought 5 or greater on these. One has to give up flowing thought 3 to equip these to get 20 atk. As a non-double attacking class (even th ough you can buy 15% total double attack through AA) the added atk bonus is not noticeable for the beast class.

this guy is full of crap, if he realized that mana pres 4 would save him massive ammounts of mana per cast, personally durring raids im hitting 3 people up with ferocity and also keeping everybody with SD that is a pain in the *** when it comes to mana, you can keep your ft3 ill take mana pres.

You sir are either 1) lying (my guess) or 2) Play the absolute crappiest beastlord ever to make it past the login screen. Even at lvl 61 on my beastlord, using by-no-means uber weapons (WLK and Offhand Epic right now) with a self buffed atk of around 1250~1300ish, I STILL pull more dps on POP mobs than Knights(of similar level), bards and some warriors without counting my pet damage.
My guess is that you are actually still just some level 35 beastlord pet clericing your way thru those ph4t lewtz in DSP and you see losing ft3 as some huge loss. FT3 is nice, but jesus MP4 is one of the best foci you can get on some boots, IMHO ;)
pvtflood, if you are lvl 65 and are using worse than a 16/22 in main and a 13/22 in offhand, you need to go ahead and scrap that beastlord and go back to your full elysian dr00d, cause thats some l337 shizznit.(attempt at bleedingly obvious sarcasm)

MPIV for me would give me the same as an extra 590Mana.
FT5 is 50mana per min and would take 12+ mins to regen that same 590mana I have instant access to with MPIV, and of course MPIV is a gift that keeps on giving the higher your Wis/Mana pool gets the more benefit you continue to recieve.
The added 20Atk is simply a nice little addition no more no less.
Im also a Beastlord lvl 65 and have 429AAs currently raid buffed im always over 2000Atk, and do ALOT more than a "pittance" with my choosen weapons.
It is very rare as a matter of fact that any Monk ive ever grouped with out damages me in total damage. and me and my weapon is approx 1/2 that total damage.

I agree with Nunyabiz on this. Although I love FT3 on my ornate boots, mana preservation is far superior...you dont need to regen mana if you dont spend it. =D
And as far as you not doing damage, your either full of it, or you have horrible weapons. I have battle fists (18/20) and fangs Vyzh'dra 17/19), im normally sitting around 1700 attack and my dps (no pet/no spells) is around 115 on PoP mobs. Thats better then almost any plate class's dps.
