So what does being poor have to do with it? Elemental patterns are NO DROP from the elemental planes. If you're flagged for those, you can get these for free. If you aren't, you CANNOT get these, PERIOD!

Perhaps, but the poster I was speaking to in my reply is on druzzil ro, so unless he wants to do a server transfer, lose all his gear (transfers with gear not allowed to FV), HE will not get these that way.
As to being "gimped in" You'd have to be a REAL special friend, of a REAL nice elemental flagged guild, to have that happen. Cripes, its hard enough to get them to sell me drops like liquefied earth to make livestone armor, and I am friends with several members of the elemental and time flagged guilds on my server. Even so, I guarantee you no amount of plat would get me brought in to loot the patterns or molds for elemental quest armor.

well i know very very very few EP able guilds that would bring someone in for money

this was fixed a very long time ago, FT of the same numbers now stack

This is quest armor. ALl INT casters rougly have the same stats for all the elemental armor. Give or take a INT, STA or resist.
