Ok now I am confused. It says here you need a Timeless Chain Tunic Pattern but on EQ Trader it says you need a Elemental Chain Tunic Pattern. Which is correct or are we talking about different armor pieces..?

the one that was put out on EQTrader was just speculated. It falls in line with the other elemental gear that you can get. Right now, the people in Time that loot one of these are getting the "Elemental Chain Tunic Pattern"

Oh, and as far as the bp goes, no shaman had looted the bp as of about three days ago.. but I think that Ceno from FoH was the first shaman to actually have won it. And.. from what I think that other guild shamans told me (I have not seen the link to it yet) it has Chronoburn on it.

Nickdr is right. The stats one this are not the same as i saw on Zeb server. I can't remember the resist but 20 to all sounds right. But i do know it has the Thugur's Insect on it. Cast time of 3 seconds, witch is the same cast time as our slow already. But I dont thing this would make the weapon with Thugurs on it opsolite cause not everyone can get that weapon and might be lucky enough to get this. Haveing two weapons with the same effect available doesn't make one worthless just more of a chance to get one of the two. Also i do think that it had over 200+hp well over if I remember right. The stats where insaine what ever they where. I would say it is for sure the best BP that a shammy could get. LOL epic part 2!!!!!
No.. it's not

No, this is not the correct elemental bp. It's been said many times that this bp was pulled from the database way before it was available to the general public. I have not personally seen a shaman with this bp... although that's not saying that no one has it, it's saying that the picture above is not the correct one.

I'm personally doubting that our bp would have turgor's insects on it. Why, cause we already get a weapon with that effect on it, and it would basically make that weapon obsolete. I personally would rather have the Hammer of Hours as my primary if this bp ends up having the slow effect.

I'll say it again.. this is not what the shaman elemental bp will have for stats. To keep with what the current ones that have already been found , the bp should theoritically have +20 to every resist, one focus effect, one combat effect, and a skill modifier. I'm thinking that at least 190+ hps and 200hps too.

Man i wish you people would stop posting stuff that is false!!! For one someone has got this BP before. On Zeb server a few people have them. Also yes AC/HP are important but is NOT the "most" important thing for shammys. One you need MANA!!!!! Yeah we do have canni but it still takes awhile to cast it and regan your mana. Like if you are in a fast pulling group or on a raid that is moving pretty fast you dont have the time to use canni soooo you need mana and that comes from mana/wisdom items. There has been to many times that i have got low on mana and a slow gets resisted and by the time i canni to get the mana for another slow its to late. Yes HP/AC is good because we do get pretty big agro from our slows but if your a skilled shaman then you would know to wait just a sec before slowing so tank can get agro. Because if you do get agro and keep getting interrupted trying to slow and you die the group is screwed and ya just hope the healer doesnt get agro from trying to keep up and die also. So dont tell people that HP/AC is the most important cause its not and niether is mana/wisdom. They are all something a shaman needs and you should work just as hard to get all these stats. Just get some items with good wis/mana and some HP/AC or some with all of them and you will be a great well rounded shaman that can switch to healing if needed as well as take hits and slow and all that good shammy stuff. Im a lvl 65shaman with 69AAs on Zeb server. Just remember if ya dont run out of mana then ya dont need to canni do ya? I have 5138hp 1348AC 278wis and a mana pool of close to 4k. I like to say that is pretty well rounded. Oh and this BP kicks ***!!! Anyone that would say otherwis should not play a shaman. Having the one thing that is our main purpose be mana free?!?!?!?! dont get any better then that. Opening a free slot for another spell would be a world of a difference and the stats are second to none!! Uber indeed

#Nimra, Posted: Jun 27 2003 at 9:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) all I can say is that I want one. 75AC only for that I would use it but the clickable effect + the 175hp the resistance and the wiz/mana bonus make it THE UBBER shaman bp

If you arnt slowing a mob and are a shaman do the server a favor and delete your account.
#1 job is to De-Buff mobs
Ex: Malo, Malos, Slow, Cripple
#2 job is to Buff players
Ex: Focus, Stamina, Avatar line
Now this BP allows you to save a slot in 1 of 8
memmed spells slots from right click slow with a faster cast time. If you are any kind of high end shaman you will know that this is a big bonus. Also Grizlor Bear knows his **** AC/HP are most important for shaman I currently have:
1425AC/5200HP and 62HP/REGEN raid buffed. I have taken aggro from many a named mobs and am proud to say lived. If you cant take aggro given from slow which is what defines you as a class you need to re-evaluate your gear.

Faster cast time? Or you meant no recast time?

Cuz as far I am concerned,Tugur's has a 3sec cast time.And 6 sec recast.

Funny seeing mistakes from sarcastic posts trying to teach us how to play.

The casting time is the same for both. However- being right clickable means you can chain cast with the BP and not have to wait for the stupid refresh which is what makes this great. Also if you are leading with malo there is no pause between the casting of malo and slow which = faster slows. Lastly it frees up a spell gem that could be used for something like torpor, mending, or a nice nuke.

As of writing this, NO ONE has ever gotten an elemental breastplate. They either drop off the counsil of rathe, coirnav, or they drop in plane of time. I'm referring to the ele chain bp pattern of course. Since as of writing this, only coirnav has been killed; I really doubt anyone has seen any ele sham bp. This guy just loaded up some sort of link sploit to get a pic of this.

This is the best sham bp in the game. You wont see one for at least another month or two.

as any good shaman would tell you slow spells are one of the top five spells to **** off a mob. i think healing and (failed) charms are the only things to make Mobs angrier. now the next higher slow spell will actually lower you on the mobs hate list but THIS SPELL WILL GET YOU KILLED!!

You have some good points .... let me realign them =) (good shammies have max Piercing!)

point 1: Slow is high aggro and can get you killed. TRUE! Slowing is a dangerous part of our profession, but it is what we do. Because -

point 2: healing is higher aggro than slowing. Personally I think slow is higher aggro than most heals, BUT you will find everyone doing a LOT more HEALING if the mob isn't SLOWED.

Also : slow will get you killed! - Yeah, probably =). But that is why I don't worry about wisdom as much as AC and Hitpoints. I have crazy-fast mana regen anyway, and mana is no good if you are DEAD. I pray the main tank has aggro that will hold true, I wait for the assist call (usually! heh), perhaps for resist-debuffs, and then I let fly my spell hoping the aim of the gindain will guide Turgur's precious insects to make my foe sleepy (oh so sleepy!).

You are young, and that is good. I am old, and that is also good. I have seen many things and many would say I am now wiser for having seen them. What I will say is this: if you ever play the 'high-end-game' (raiding - and it IS a lot different!), your life will change drastically. For example, when I was younger, I was proud to have the highest wisdom around, as it helped me with many things. Now my wisdom is lower (eep!) but I am much much tougher, and I am scarred from slowing many great beasts (and the celebrations afterward).

I have addressed your POINTS - now let me be BLUNT (good shammies max this too!):

This is very high-end-game gear, and it is for high-end-game shammies. We live by slow, we die by slow, our companions at our side. This one spell is our bread and butter, and I cannot think of a more deserving spell to be cast from the armor that protects our hearts. GRATS to all you raiders who have fought long and hard to get this wonderful item.

Our Spears are sharp and our hammers land blows, but the biggest mobs fall because they are SLOWED!

Aloha all

I like this gem of a BP for our shammy friends. It also, like many of the new AA abilities and item clickies, frees up one of our spell gemmies for another spell, which is very nice. With no refresh time to re-click and the lack of "fizzle" factor, it really it a blessing.

For example, I took the 4 AA for Ranger Ensnare. Saves a spell gemmie now that I can now have both a fire and a cold nuke memmed, as well as my normal assortment of spells for group exp or raiding.

I think they chose the right spell for shammies on this one, as shamans live and die by the slow, and it is incumbunt not on the shammy to keep his aggro down, but on the MA to keep the aggro. Taunt is an aggro equalizer -- not an increaser, so shamans simpl need to let everyone know when they are casting the slow to allow the MA the opportunity to click the taunt button at the right time, i.e. just after the slow lands, not before :-)

Happy hunting all

What does sony have against wizzies? They nerfed the bejesus out of Manaburn (some nerfing WAS needed, but they went a bit far). They give Mages better nukes that can be store bought than we get for quests. And now we get a robe with a right click self buff that we can cast ourselves before a fight anyhow?

ARF...

I love my class, and I am not whining. I simply would like to see comparaible items for camparible difficulties and levels. Oh well, that whole game balance thing was over rated anyhow...

I'm much happier with the 175hp and 30 stamina on this breastplate than the mana it gives, personally... I only have a mana pool of around 2700, and with canni 5 I'm never out of mana. Wisdom and mana pool is near useless to a smart shaman. AC/HP are your gods, and slow is your saint.

It's late, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you are comparing the Shaman Elemental BP to the Wizzie Ornamental Robe. The Elemental armors from PoP are gonna be better than the Ornamentals.

Also I believe items have a lower resist rate to mobs than players. For instance I was in Hate with another shaman and he had a JBB. When we fought Spite Golems (which are very resistant) he would land DD's from his bracer where as my spells bounced off. I would like to see if a slow from item is rarely resisted or as resisted as a player.

Keep in mind some mobs cant be hit with any magic unless you are in melee range. That said, I believe you are correct, and also that click items get interrupted much less than spells. I can click my JBB, get hit 3 times in 8 seconds and have a 90% chance of casting thru the hits, whereas Bane of Nife is only a 5 sec cast but one hit will interrupt me about half the time. I have maxed spell skills for level 58 as well. JBB usually hits for full damage even on higher level stuff provided they arent super cold resistant ( if the are I malosini them ).

Practical? This is uber beyond any possible expectation. I would wager a smart shaman would wear (or maybe creatively swap) this tunic if it had NO stats beside that effect.

Slow is a shaman's primary job at the level this can be obtained. Doing it for no mana cost is amazing. Doing it without the recast delay is flooring. An amazing item.
