Tug of War

Kinda cool they added a melee effect as well as a caster effect, but man...talk about a tough dicision on who to award this.

I say Beastlord, due to it's hybrid style stats.

Monk has no use for Mana Preservation.
Druids have no use for an attack buff.
Beastlord on the otherhand can use both.

I am a druid officer of a guild who will only see this mob is thier wettest dreams, but if we were to ever come accross something like this, I would vote it be awarded to a Beastlord First, Monk Second, and Druid 3rd. Even before myself.
#StrungOut, Posted: Jan 11 2003 at 2:11 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Considering monks get better armor than this and it would be a waste for 150m and mana preservation 4 to go to a monk, I'd say this will most likely go to a druid because a. Their mana is more important to the raid than a beastlord and because b. beastlords suck

Actually if you bother to take the time to play the class its one of the best classes out there.Witht eh ability to cast most of the useful spells that shamans and some of the dots and then a Pet that will give the group a extra damage dealer (and a good one at that) They are quickely becomming a sought after class for groups. I can run into a zone with my chanter and LFG for 2 to 3 hours. With the BST about 10 mins mabey 30 tops.

I'm glad to see some people coming to appreciate the role of the Beastlord.... i myself have a 52BL and i have saved various group more often than i care to remember just by the fact my pet can take all the agro and i can heal it till everyone is safe out of the zone.... and if not that i can tank one mob and my pet another if we get really stuck.

in regards to this item, i would agree with most peoples opinion that it should be Beast first then the other 2. my guild will be a while before we can go and get this type of stuff....... but the amount of times I have been to PoH and watched all those cleric and bard items rot while i work my *** of gets on my nerves and i would sincerely love to get some appreciation in the form of some nice item like this if it ever popped up.

good luck to anyone who ever gets a pop at this though.... and dont get me wrong i love helping peeps and am always happy when they get something they can use

I agree i am a officer in a guild as well. This item is a bsl weapon all the way....The effect is a melee only effect(will that drops druid out of the race... Then the focus effect is mana preservation(will that drops monks out of the running as well... That leaves only the beastlords to grab this item up which they will...But monks are going to throw a fit about giving up a chest that gives them 45ac but that is life sooo deal...BSL 1st then because lack of nice ac for monks MONK 2nd then if you have no BSL or MONK then i geuss because no drop a druid could pick this up.

first off it doesnt matter either way about the bickering thats going on over here, ppl should be posting here to help other people out, a poster's opinion isnt going to change the way ANY guild that is able to take on this guild. So please people lets stop. If you wanna spread around facts about druids/monks/beasts then pls think about what all the other classes can do. Have any of you ever realized that a guild designated monkey puller is prolly a lot more important then the added DPS from a druid/bst? Also, ive heard comments bout a beast being able to save a groups <rear end> on several occasions by holding off a mob... A monk can do that just as well (hold off critters for a lil while then FDing) and druids can do it a lot better/safer (evac) also, the 45 attack is nice for either monk or bst but do you guys realize how much a druid would benefit from it? I doubt most of the people that have been "flaming" druids dont really understand how much they can help, I've healed PoP groups easily w/o help as long as i had KEI the group didnt have any downtime either... Monks also seems to be underappreciated here as well, I dont think people understand how much damage monks take from pulling stuff from ubah mobs (not even PoP mobs look at logs from monks pulling in Vex Thal) pls stop b***ing about who is gonna get it, its all about points, and pls when talking about the other classes learn some more about them first

Moronic? yes.. one question here. i play a damn warrior but even i know a druid use's mana.... HOW will mana pres not help him? wow.. roll on it ppl. christ give other chars a fair shot... i see why druids have a hard time getting flagged for POK planes with most of the greed i am seeing here.....

I have to agree with the idea that this goes to a bst before the other 2 classes mainly because the vengeance effect would be wasted on a druid as no sane druid would mellee with an item that increases hate and if they were to thats just one more rez to do, also it's effects to suit a bst more then either monk or druid but on the other hand a monk given this item could quite easily make wonderfull use of it as a caster protector with the vengeance effect if a healer, nuker picked up aggro most monks would peel the mob off him in the blink of an eye. But I really would suggest any druid who may ever be awarded this to stear well clear of melee as they would just be asking to be boxed and buried.
