Yeah, and Skyshrine and Kael is much better than Thurgadin so don't bother camping arena : )
The thing you forgot to mention is that getting elemental patterns is like 20 times harder.
Getting the elemental patterns harder? yes. But you have to realize that if you are able to do the elemental planes then you would have probably gone through the other 3 expantions and gotten better than this anyway, one example is this:

I suspect he was just pointing out that an effectively tradable wrist is not comparable to a completely no-drop one that drops in a zone only accessible through a lot of successful raiding. (Not counting raid-flagging, no, 'cause it's quite rare anyone will allow a raid-flag into an e-planar zone to loot a mold/pattern).
