Effect
# Oct 30 2003 at 8:18 PM Rating: Default
Nice stats, but every timeless chest gets an effect/focus but this one...
RE: Effect
# Dec 19 2003 at 4:41 AM Rating: Decent
Rogue chest has only modifiers instead of an effect also
RE: Effect
# Nov 05 2003 at 1:24 PM Rating: Good
I would say that +15 Avoidance and +15 to flying kick damage qualifies, no?

Get one of these, try it out for a while. If you don't like it, then complain ;-)

This IS the Elemental version...hence the pattern neeeded....Timeless Leather Tunic Pattern!

I have the Ornate now and the stats are about half of this.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 08 2003 at 8:38 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Actually, this is the elemental version in which the pattern drops in *gasp* the Elemental Planes!!!!! The timeless patterns drop in *double gasp* the Plane of Time. You'd think the names would be dead give aways, but I guess not.

Well, sort of. This is the elemental version as listed when players exploited a bug involving item links late last year/early this year to mine the database for elemental chest pieces (whose patterns and molds drop only in the Plane of Time). That produced the version you see here. Unfortunately, this version is a placeholder, as the game developers have changed the stats since then.

There are a small number of guilds serverwide which are Plane of Time-capable, and as of this date, only the Wizard, Bard, and Rogue chest pieces have been crafted as far as I know. As more classes craft their chest pieces, we'll update the stats in the database.

And here's the updated version with the real stats.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 02 2003 at 5:51 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This isnt the Elemental armor, this is the Ornate, or so I was told. Either way this thing is very nice and take what you get. Not like you Monks arnt ripping bard songs with your Whisting Fists.

Tailoring skill...
# Jan 11 2003 at 1:44 PM Rating: Decent
Just a question, do you have to be a master tailor or the skill of 250 to do this quest?

The only thing you need to do this quest is the appropriate character flag. For the ornate armor you need a BoT flag. I assume that for this you need to be flagged for the elemental planes.

you'd have to be Time flagged actually. Only place the chest piece molds drop is in Time and they are no drop. Time also doesn't allow the use of 85% so you have to go through lots of trouble to get the flag.
RE: Tailoring skill...
# Feb 07 2007 at 2:08 PM Rating: Default
Time does use 85% rule and phase 3 of time drops a flag for zone. There are only 10 flags per raid if I remember correctly. Time can be raided once per week in RL. There are open time raids on weekends usually on most servers. You can loot items in time without flag, so it's possible to wear this without a time flag.

85% rule is 5 members flagged and 1 member not flagged per group, but the groups can be organized as the raid leader wants, the rule is for the whole raid.

I know your post is a year old now, but you do realize that the post to which you had replied to was 4 years old right? At the time of the post there was no pushing people in to zones anywhere. It was actually something they added specifically because of PoP zones, which is kind of why it's only applied to flagged zones as opposed to keyed ones.

Wasn't Ton Po the Thai champion in the Jean-Claude VanDamme movie 'Kickboxer'?

call me crazy but . . .
# Jan 04 2003 at 12:26 PM Rating: Decent
wouldn't you think that being enlightened (the not as good POT quest armor) would be better than gaining composure (the uber POT armor) for a monk? i think they need to lay out their priorities
RE: call me crazy but . . .
# Jan 04 2003 at 1:17 PM Rating: Excellent
The most difficult thing in battle is not just knowing what to do, but doing it. The former requires enlightenment, the latter composure.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 04 2003 at 4:22 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) OMG u r kidding, i seen the rest of this tuff and its nice. talk about end game being redefined...but WAR SONG OF ZEK on this tunic.. on that note 60 monk seeks a trials group plz shoot me
