To my surprise, this dropped from "a lesser vann niesa" today. Granted I have killed hundreds of those over the weeks and have not seen this before.

Type 4, look at the Allakhazam description, not the screenshot. Since its Warrior only, the ONLY aug that should ever be put there is anger 3, IMO.
RE: augs
# Jul 06 2004 at 6:42 PM Rating: Default
then i geuss you cant put anger III on it cause the only anger III augs are slot 4 and 8 and the 4 is 1h and weapons only, 8 is any weapon.
#REDACTED, Posted: Sep 18 2004 at 10:24 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Wow you sure are stupid, type 4 is for any weapon and type 8 is for time gear(Except for some exception to type 6 damage mods)...Then again what do you expect from someone that has the name from a child's cartoon show.

Also on Bertoxx, 20-100pp tops. They used to be quite rare. A friend of mine payed 32k for his two months before they dropped all over the place...convenient.
I can't say I like the way they look either. Beside that having nothing important to do with the weapon i'm about 1) Holding the mob. 2) Not having to take as many riposte hits while being able to get some procs out. 3) DPS. And this weapon does that quite well. I just wish they were less common at not so badly under-priced.

Come on Sony...

this 2hb ownz untill you lay your hands on something better (and there isnt much other than BoW) shove an anger aug in this and you have a very potent wep and rock-solid aggro holder.BoC is very nice as a 1hs and if u can partner this with a bloodfrenzy (put the BF in primary-why? --better proc rate) you are set.

The look is rubbish (my enc has a lowbie quested staff with the identical look!)but it does the job a treat. You can pick up these dirt cheap nowadays 50-200 pp on Antonius-Bayle but if you are a war under the req level and want aggro try the barnacle covered axe and partner it with a stun wep like the ropy tendril or similar.

I see this go for between 10 and 100pp on Terris Thule...great buy for warriors at this price, I already have one in the bank for when my alt hits 55.
You really should try this weapon! [:boozing:]
# Jan 16 2004 at 7:52 PM Rating: Decent
I wish they'd make more weapons like this, I really like this weapon Smiley: yippee

This staff makes me takes significantly less riposite damage from PoP monsters (especially important for warriors that havn't really started their defensive AA's before adventuring in PoV/BoT) and seems to keep aggro as well or even better then my Sword of the Bloodsworn and Copper Hammer of Striking (both from Droga). Also this staff seems to outdamage dual wielding SotBS/CHoS. Smiley: chug

Wish there was a larger selection of high taunt two handers available to warriors, but unfortunately the designers seem to limit a lot of the really nice ones to pal/sk only for some reason Smiley: bah

I use the same 1 hander combo and when I hit 55 (Last night) I swapped to this and was real impressed. One thing I wasn't impressed with was it's appearance. Looks like something out of the cave man days. Still, a very impressive wep WRT DPS and Aggro hold :-)

Yeah, I'm on rodcet also, and I've gotta laugh when I look at bazaar, and see this selling for 100pp or so, and Centi LS selling for 2500pp.

Course its the required level that hurts this, but still, this is such a nice weapon. I wish more warriors would try it. I've had groups with 60+ warriors using stuff like razor edged shan'tok or other non proccing weapons, who had trouble holding aggro, when one of these would fix it right up.
Nice aggro

I found one of these on Kane Bayle in bazaar for 400pp and had to have it. My warrior has used this and quickly went from skill 1 to 240 in no time. Now that I'm level 58 and maxxed the 2HB skill I find that I am actually taking aggro from my MT all too often with this (don't do this in a raid btw). I use my regular 1HS weapons when I assist and get mobs below 40% health before switching to this. The Planar Stun proc is what steals the aggro. My guild MT told me not to use this on tough mobs when I assist as it will eventually out aggro him!

When I MT on occasion I use this frequently and hold aggro well. Not a bad weapon for the price I paid!

Aggro
# Dec 03 2003 at 4:24 PM Rating: Decent
Got one for 600PP on Drinal- seems to avg around 2K. I went from one in 2HB to 86 in an hour, and at lvl 57 all ready getting good proc with minimal shaman/enchanter buffage. Easily was holding aggro after 2nd proc on any mob in PoD, out aggroing one with Swiftwind. But- I was STILL mashing taunt after mob resist on chanter slows/mezz.

"Don't heal me- nothing beats low HP aggro..."
You are returning to your bind point.
Very respectable weapon
# Dec 03 2003 at 2:14 PM Rating: Decent
On Tunare, this thing is now selling for as low as 200 plat...unbelievable price for such an awesome agro holder. I am assuming that because these drop quite frequently and because they are 2HB (and the level requirement also), that is the reason that the prices on these GSoTs have totally bottomed out. But hey, I'm not complaining...I bought mine a few weeks ago for 500plat and it is a very respectable weapon. I am a 57 Warrior and last night I held agro with absolutely no problems with this stick in a group thqat consisted of a 59 Ranger (with Swifty), a 58 Beastie, a 56 Necro, a 55 Cleric and a 56 Rogue.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 09 2003 at 2:50 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Haha, I went into the bazaar not too long ago and looked this up, they were all 2-4k and then I saw one for 200pp and bought it =P My lucky starz!
agro
# Sep 12 2003 at 6:14 PM Rating: Default
My warrior carried it around in his rallic pack for 3 weeks after getting it. One day, enchanter friend was playing and had 2 rangers in group...one 58 lvl and one 61 lvl. I was 56 lvl. 61 lvl was using bloodsworn and holding agro as usual. Enchanter (who got it for me) told me to pull out the staff and work my 2hb. after 5 hours, 2hb went from 4 to 180skill with boon. 61 lvl ranger stopped tanking and let me tank. He couldnt hold agro anymore and I could hold agro while he used am2 and Eq. he was critting for 1021hp and I could hold agro. I have a bag of unused weapons now...wurmy, lamentation, ornate longsword of slaughter, shimmering partisan, and a list of other expensive multi-Kpp swords that cant do what this cheap 2hb can do....hold agro.

Couple of things to start...Sells on Bristle for 1k and does proc at the required level - 55.

Just to agree with Fairy;

While hunting the Expedition Guards in GD with my bot crew I was pulling this out at the 'deathwalk' stage of the fight to help my 2hb skill, which was about 10 at the start of this. My Warrior has around 250 dex with boon of garou so skill raises are fairly quick even for that short space of the fight. Crew is 55War 56Dru 55Enc..Normal tactic, pull with War, Slow with Enchanter then sit to grab aggro and bring pet into fight, Druid, snares and dots and heals as required.
On one occasion I forgot to swap weapons at the end and started the next fight with this weapon...Enc slowed and sat....Dorf Guard didn't move...Enc tash'd and sat...dorf turned, staff proc'd War has aggro again...Hmmm this not good, War isn't doing enough damage with staff and pet is not activated as Enc has not been threatened..Tash, sit...not a flinch from the Dorf....I now have to heal Warrior as he's taking too much damage and not returning enough...swap out to 1hders...put bloodpoint in primary to grab back some health, FG still procs plenty in off hand...concentrate on kill. If I'd kept tashing I may have grabbed aggro with enchanter but as I was 3 boxing I couldn't afford to concentrate on that. Everytime I started the fight with this in my hand I struggled to get aggro with enchanter, in the end I gave up and would melee to get a riposte.
This was also the only thing I could use to hold aggro from an SK I was grouped with who insisted on chain casting every fight (Damn KEI)....My 2hb skill was and is still not over 100.

If you need a weapon for aggro this is it, if you're poorly equipped (like me) due to whatever reason then this weapon is a warriors best friend, no one will complain about you not holding aggro if you have one of these...It's only down side is the knockback effect, which could rule it's use out in some locations. Oh, yeah...It also looks a bit naff and your avatar will use the crappy (1handed) piercing animation with luclin models Smiley: rolleyes

While I going to a group in PoN , i got a tell right outta da blue, Someone asked if i wanted this weapon . I said "Yup" . When i asked about the prize he said , "1 copper".... thats right 1 copper . I am not dumb , or at least i don't think i am dumb , this was a deal of a life time , so i took it. the weapon is an agro magnet. Me and this weapon won't part each other for a long time . I may even give it a pet name .

P.S If the guy who gave me this is reading this ,Thank You So Much
Tee hee =)
This wepon is great!!

I have a copper hammer of striking and a windworn handblade, they cost me alot of money, but this weapon which is like 5k on my server totally blows those away for aggro. for droppable this is a very good aggro getter, and as a warrior always hearing we want a pally or sk in groups, this lil gem really helps. We will never be a sk or pally on aggro but with this we can at least compare. Until they fix warrior aggro I will continue to use this and keep my 1hs weapons in my bag. If you are planning on getting your warrior a 2hb I recommend this one for sure, its amazing for the price.

I totally agree. Until the Warriors get 1HS and 1HB weapons that have ratios on par with some of the hybrid classes, the best agro holders I think are 2HS and 2HB weapons. Blade of Carnage being the exception. Its 700 hate proc is nice but unless your guild can take down the Avatar of War or you have the 400K+ pp to buy one then you will never have one. I currently alternate between this and a Windblade. If I am MT then I use this weapon. If I am backing up MT then I use the Windblade.

dont overlook other good agro procs, bloodfrenzy being my personal favorite, also ldon has some cool anger procs you can put into any weap for some agro gain.

Monks already have a Tranquil Staff that procs a stun and DD. Us warriors need things like this to be able to atleast stay in the agro game.

Got one of these lovelies last night, my group was in Upper Sands camp in BoT and we pulled Valbrand (another named wolf) and after killing him he dropped this great warrior staff. Killed him last night around 7PM PST.

I'm a 65 warrior and I just got this weapon off Sandstorm. I have to say its much better than my dual wield combo which was Fleshgrinder and Etched Zraxthril Warblade for holding aggro.
Another mob it drops off of

Drops off of Thangbrand as well.
