Caps an stuff

Dauntless Perseverance makes any war no longer able to be melee stunned from any direction. The stamina cap is raised with DON and Wunshi and Tribute. 4kAC and 20KHP is the new dream sheet, but yes AC>HP still. There are other things you won't see in lower end game, like Shielding, Avoidance, Dodge. Shielding is 1 less hp damage melee per 1%. So 25% shielding is 25 less damage per hit. Avoidance makes you get missed entirely, and Dodge raises your chance of Dodge ability. Elemental Gear is still nice stuff, Better than tier 1 omens of war anyway. This is comparable to DON cultural, but is slightly better in some respects. DON GM legs with DON merchant augs are 81AC with 235hp 185end fyi. Think I'll stick with my DON legs for now.

Just a couple of thoughts about your post, need some quick clarification:

Can I ask what the stun AA was all about concerning this piece of equipment? Yes, the AA kicks ***, but not sure what that has to do with EP warrior legs. And from every piece of literature or post I have read, and way back to my math classes, 25% mitigation means 25 hit points for every 100 you take, not 25 hit points total. Which really starts to separate tanks from those who have it and those who don't. So to those newb tanks out there, get your mitigation AA's as soon as you can. The dodge are real nice too. We all compare warriors based on HP/AC, but the ability to mitigate or avoid is worth a hell of a lot, don't overlook it.

I assume you mean buffed to 20k/4k, because no character has broke the 17k mark unbuffed yet, and the leading candidate (Gster) is well ahead of his closest mates. And they are hardly the tanks you are gonna see running around in EP zones or Time, unless their guild has decided to farm for alts and wants to make it an easy raid. So this item is trash to them. A nice place to start for many, but a 14k+ tank wants nothing to do with this gear.

Your assessment of DoN legs is right on the money, as they can get beefed up slightly better than EP legs. However, if you are an odd race and religion with a low smithing it isn't always easy to get them. But should you get a pair hold onto them, as the new mega-uber type 12 augs from DoD make cultural armor kick some serious ***, we are talking CoA class specific armor equivalent, way beyond EP comparisons. Good stuff, peace I'm out.

The "don't overlook it" part was addressed more to people reading my reply, as you also recommended dodge and avoidance. I just read how that sounds, all apologies as we are in agreement on the matter.

I would love to smack every person upside the head who says AC doesn't matter . . . what the heck do you think prevents you from getting hit when mobs miss?? Sure, you have agility which contributes to avoidance . . . but dodge seldom works once it is maxed out, and I have yet to see my warrior dodge anything in the last 3 months of play. Higher AC = less hits landing on you! Not to mention all the AAs that increase defensive abilities do help, but once you have them all spent, it comes back down to AC. The way the game works is the higher your attack rating compared to a mob's AC, the more chance of landing a hit you have. Same goes for mobs. Those who say AC doesn't matter need to try actually playing a warrior and see for themselves.
AC/HP?

How come in the picture the effect says "shield of Maelin" and under the stats it says "aura of valor"??

Item statistics and effects can change (read: get changed by the developers) in the game over time, and the database only has the screenshots that users send in. The primary concern is always to keep the item's statistics as current as possible in the database. If a new screenshot gets sent in that shows the latest stats, we will usually update the item to display the updated screenshot.

Hope that helps.

AC and POP
# Jan 13 2003 at 7:49 PM Rating: Decent
AC makes a big difference in the end game and in pop there is no dobt about it. If it didnt make any difference then these items would have 100 Stam and 300 Hp and 50 ac .
Sure Stam/HP is ultra important but AC still up there for your MTs.

Ehhh AC doesn't mean jack anymore. The high end guilds getting this stuff are concerned about 1 thing.. HP.
AC does matter !
# Jan 13 2003 at 6:00 AM Rating: Excellent
AC ever mattered. However due to the nature of damage calculation you will expierence a decrease in damage only if your AC is close to the Atk of the mob. Before PoP there was nothing between 1300 and 1600 Atk, so the rumor came up that there is a AC cap.
On PoP you will see a significant difference between tanks even in the 1400+ ac range. I am not in guild with warriors or monks equipped that good, but I heard that guilds that are able to get this stuff expierence another shift in damage once the tank hits 2000ac.

Hmm even if these didn't have any ac they would still be awesome, 15sta and 165 hps i don't know of any other legs that produce that much HP's, not to mention the effect which gives even more ac and the great resists.

Stam really won't much when you get these anyway, it's mostly eye candy. The only time your stam won't be maxed is when you have been in the bazaar so long your raid buffs wore off. Because if you are lucky enough to get these, your guild is a raiding guild.

I suppose in the off-chance that someone got these and then quit their guild the stamina could mean something... but only if they were soloing or in a group with no shammy.

Now the raw hitpoints on the other hand simply kick ***. :)

100 ac is good for 1 thing...showing off, with the lowest hp on any of the pieces in this set being 145 plus the fact that 2 pieces give regen this will be one hard to replace suit of armor...gratz to anyone who winds up with a full suit and i /bow to your feet.
