Completed by a Bored paladin on Innoruuk who got his faction up for the crown, and did The Gale weaver, and the Silver blade of Thunder too... Just for the Hell of it~
It's Pri/Sec, with the same stats as listed above, and is no-drop so i couldn't move it to my wiz to check the look.... Plan on doing it again and MQ'ing it to my wiz Twink

If anyone has ever been to the hole, you'll know how DEEP it really is and for a group to get down there it would need to be exp'd and decently equiped during those days. the item is on par with some higher end velious drops but... just buy those instead like mentioned,

The mana 50 is what is getting me tempted, not sure if I will statr it, will probably see if there is a better item out there with less risk.
What is interesting is if you look at the other Karana worhshipping quests that start in JP (Crown of the Tempest Guard, The Gale Weaver, Silver Blade of Thunder), they all have an effect.
Have to wonder if they simply forgot to put an effect on it, which would make it a lot more worthwhile.

Name me items (Pre end game) that are better than this? Granted that there's a lot of work to get this.

How bout Ornate Rune Shield and Orb of the Infinite Void? Both droppable and the ORS goes for about 6k on EMarr nowadays. Orb is a bit more expensive hehe

This quest isn't really worth the trouble, When i did the Storm mistress we wiped 3 times with 18 people, just from dojorn's ae... granted we were a pickup raid, but most people were at least partially decent with gear
your best bet for this if you wish to do it is get a monk to die on the island, and loot all but 1 item, get rez'd and train the bladestorms to a different island
once they hit the other island, they will stay there, and the monk can jump off to clear agro, then get rez'd back to dojorn island
Wherein you can Paci the mistress and whoop dojorn (watch his 600 lure AE)
then the mistress is a puss

I would rather get a divine intervention(spelling) drops in ME off of cheiftan. I got mine yesterday 15ac 15wis 15int and 15 mana believe thats the stats. Check it out!

Not really up to par with the Gale Weaver. Should've at least given it a focus effect. Oh well.
I vaguely recollect from when I did the Gale Weaver quest, there was an item with the same name with lesser stats as a further part of the quest, it could be the stats have been taken from the lesser piece, rather than the final item..
Either that, or it's REALLY a bad reward.

This item is just pretty bad for the mobs you have to kill for the quest. Level 46? For a mob with 13,000 hp? I can't really see that unless you have some level 60 friends.

There are things that are as good or better that drop in Velious that are easier to get than killing 6 Caster mobs in the 50 to 60 range and you dont have to have to go to the Planes to get them either.
