if only one thing I can teach about this game... NOTHING STACKS as far as focus effects go. Nothing. If you have 2 focus effets that do roughly the same thing, the better of the items' effects will take precedence.
been looking for a good range slot for my bard and at first i didnt think much of this especially at 50k or so but the stats are very nice even if i cant use the focus effect sta dex and hps are very nice and its nice to see real nice stuff that is player made :)
My 65 Mage uses this while soloing all the time..and the difference is profound..Planar Renewal is now 20% more powerful, thus making soloing Pop mobs in PoN that much more effective. Lots less down time with this piece..plus great stats hp wise and two saves that are hard to find. Deftool, 65 Mage of Brell
As a cleric, this would be perfect for me. Yes, it's true that it won't work with complete heal or elixir line of heal over time spells but that's not what I use all the time. There are quick heal spells that I use to save caster's life many time. It heals for small amount but it casts fast. In that situation, having that possible extra 20% (I say that because it seems to be random value up to 20%) could be the difference between dead and alive caster.
I wonder how this stacks with critical heals. If the crit heal (AA ability that doubles heals) kicks in I can complete heal almost all casters in the group and some tanks. If this kicks additional 20% in top of the crit heal, then I can heal tanks for over 6k hps. Not too bad for small heal that costs very little mana.
Hey Taushar I am with you on this. After 62 levels I avoid using Complete Heal as much as possible. Infact I often have heated debates with those who think they know all about clerics and healing but dont. Nothing sickens me more or kills more people then a Complete Heal that was late. I am 100% for using Remedy crit heals with or without this focus. However; what really turns me on is when the Tank drops below 20%,15%,10%.... backup healers usually lose their cool at 25 to 30%. Tanks usually start to say something at 15%. I will 'click' my Divine Arbitration at 15% to 10%( cast time about 1 second ) then cast a nice Group Heal that can also crit heal more then one of the group. Reguardless this focus kicks in very nice and saves me stupid hotkeys saying <<< CH on %T in 10 seconds >>> <yawn> I think we are all tired of using that spell. I am Thankful we have other options. My idea works just like yours only times 6 :) Focus makes for nice bonus and unmatched efficiency !
Actually, depending on the tank I find that I draw WAY too much agro with fast heals across the board. If the tank I'm healing has enough hps to hang, CH is far more efficient. Keeps me full mana with constant pulls. Mana goes FAST when I start with the quick heals and we end up with down time. In the case of a tank that is having a hard time taking the dmg, say Riftseekers, it's a HOT on inc and CH right after until he has adequate agro. BTW, if a tank can't hang for 10 seconds with a HOT on him in a single group, it's time to find a new tank. LOL
Still go for 90 to 100k on Drinal. Worth it. The good PoP pottery components are fairly rare, and the success rate is horrible. As a 250 potter, I fail on the combines on PoP stuff like this much more often than not.
Nice item. 15 sta gives up to 45 hitpoints for the priest classes, so adding that to the natural 65 gives a maximum of 110 hitpoints possible with this item. The dex...well, not a priority, let's say. The mana is nice, but the complete lack of wisdom makes this still inferior to quite a few range slots in this price and rarity level as far as mana pool goes.
Very nice for my shaman, though. Besides torpor/quiescence, his heals are fairly miserable, and a 20% increase definitely helps. And the hitpoints are actually a useable equivalent to mana for a shaman. My 15 wisdom Divine Inspiration range slot is now banked. Sooner or later all healers will probably want Improved Healing IV, and this item gives you the flexibility to not have to take any item with it that drops even if it doesn't really suit your needs very well except for the focus effect.
It means all your instant healing spells (not heal-over-time) get up to 20% added to the total healing. This has nothing to do with your inate regeneration.
The item doesnt specify this, but you will get a random bonus from 1% to 20%. You do not get a fixed 20% bonus on every casting.
Now this I would love to have as a paladin. It's hard to find IH items for a pally.. at least I've found it hard, without having to give up a ton of other important stats. This being a range item makes it all the sweeter.
It doesnt' look like there's a deity base on this? Can anyone verify if that is indeed true? Without the SS up, sometimes the info goes unnoticed
It is hard for any class to find IH items, especially droppable ones. The only droppable IH3 item that I know of is the Idol of the Underking that sells for around 40k when you can actually find one for sale.
This won't be deity aligned. It is a real pity it has no Wisdom on it, but I guess the 65 mana will work as a consolation prize. :) The Othmir Prexus Totem still has the edge on AC and pure mana, but this gives hits and has some resists that are hard to get for a Cleric. Now to find the materials to make it with...

disregarding the fact that it's player made and wouldn't "default" to anyone, did you read lines 6-8? Complete and % heals excluded, so any healing class could use this. With the effect being level IV, I'm sure SOE assumed that players that can use this will not be hurting in the wisdom department and will be looking more for +mana rather than wisdom that's already maxed or close to it with KEI.
