I have been camping Unrest for the last 3 days trying to get Ghouls Heart for epic quest. No luck yet :( On the other hand had a fellow guildie with i was watching over and I went to basement and solo'd the whole mob with self buffs and KEI..Got boots for guildie on 1st try. As for the WF pallies are aggro magnets NO MATTER WHAT when dealing with undead.

Kill a few skeelies for me

Dropped Today
# Feb 17 2003 at 4:18 PM Rating: Good
Killed him today, (40 druid), on one of my daily runs. Before I log each day I check for this guy and the Bilge in Dagnor's for their drops. Using Wolf Form it was easy to get to him. The narrow hallway next to his room is a lifesaver if your a farming druid. Wipe out the fungus in the narrow passage next to him, and stand there. Root him from there, dont start by casting snare, he will move to you and you'll have terror adds everywhere. Start off with a root and then stack him up with DoTs. Keep refreshing root BEFORE it wears off to avoid tentacles. Stay in that passage and nothing else can get you, as long as you keep root up on him. By the way dropped the ring, an ivory, the globe, and of course the axe and shield. Checking into these zones before you log everyday can yeild an occasional Bilge for his totem and/or belt, Garanel for his ring/boots, and maybe a knight for the bloodstained stuff. Just my thoughts on the subject, good luck all!!

I have about 12 jagged bands and 1 pair of boots. I give the bands, swords, and shields to the non-twinks in unrest. 1 more pair of boots and I can leave this guy alone

Yeah if you get into it with a Tentacle in Garanels spawn room, never stand with your back to the corridor to the pit. You'll have Tentacles, Hags and Fungus all up in your grill! :)
I've camped him maybe 20 times, and come away with about 4 pairs of boots, and 8 or so rings.
Sold the boots for as little as 200p and as much as 400p on Tarew Marr.

Soloed my way down there, wasted the ph then the ghost, dropped the boots first time. I am sat there now hoping for another pair. No probs. The terrors btw are in the room with me, conning blue and not aggroing. I pacified one to get in, it resisted but did not aggro so I hit it again, now I am sat next to it so you dont HAVE to waste the terrors, which is great because the knockback is bad.

Why can't I equip these in the "Your Characters" section? That and the Scorpikis Claw impaler.
According to my info in Allakhazam's Database, I'm a Rogue with one piercer and no offhand, and no boots =P

I guess for once the Gods were shining on ole Bremm because I just got these nice boots for meself today. I was in a full group of 27-30 lvl ppl. (3 pali's 1 cleric, 1 rogue 1 warrior) We ran down into the basement, clearing the way carefully. We came upon the ghost took him down quick, and I won the roll! Dropped the boots, a minth earring, kite shield, axe a,d soem no drop sphere of unrest. I had to log soon after so I guess I was lucky to have him drop the boots and for me to win it so quickly. almost makes up for the 3 deaths I had from the crazy Unrest trains :)

Good luck if you are going for these, and watch out for those hags!

Trick to Unrest
# Dec 01 2001 at 3:26 PM Rating: Default
If no one's told you, I found this out from one of these sites...

If you're in wolf form, stuff doesn't aggro you.

Bring a druid with ya ;)

I made it all the way down there without being bugged once hehe.

I have to warn you... Wolf form ONLY WORKS ON THE DRUID HIMSELF 100%. I had it and if I stand by anything for more than about 2 seconds... they aggro. I don't know why but its best if u just fight your way down.

Not necessarily 100%. My wife is a 52 druid, and she goes to Unrest a lot to PL or just kill stuff. Most times she has no aggro problems, but sometimes she does. Sometimes a quick camp out fixes this, sometimes it doesn't. Havent tried it with my ranger wolf form yet, think I might, tho

This is very true. Took a pally friend down with my druid and used share wolfform on him and he was aggro like a motherphucker.

I notice that in both cases a paladin was involved. I'm wondering if the problem is similar to Chanters illusions that do not mask profession or religion. The paladin, no doubt worshiping one of the 'Good' Gods, and being a paladin (really?)(big time enemy of the undead) are two possible reasons for the agro even through wolf form.

Much like illusionists, we can change your appearance, but we can not change what and who you are.

I think it's the paladin in WF that may be bugged. I'm a veteran of Unrest with my main character, a druid. Last couple of days I was down camping Garanel Rucksif with 2 pally friends. We all had WF on and mobs agroed them, but not me. I played my High Elf cleric, btw, not my main.

Must be the pally that's bugged somehow....

I went to unrest to get the darkbone bracelet for lambent armor for my bard. So I start clearing spawn points down in the basement. I go back down to see if any greater darkbones had spawned when I see this ghost sitting in a corner. So I figured ah what the hell and pulled him outside. As I'm running I'm thinking "who is this guy and what does he drop." So me and my pet kill him. He hits hard. I loot him and lo and behold he drops the boots. Woohoo its my lucky day.

I don't know what you are comparing these to, but IMO, these boots are the rogue's dream. STR=more damage dealt (what we are for) and DEX=faster procs/lvling in our special weapon skills (what we are for... again). The 8ac is always a welcome stat to ;). So may your hits be lethal and blade be quick!

Went there at level 39.. had a level 45 too.. (both sham) and had to gate 3 times due to trains, which can be bad when they include hags, terrors, and a bunch of greenies.. Anyway.. She was there for the Dark Circlet from Greater Darkbones for Lambent armor quest, and I wanted the boots and 1 jagged band.. we went down there, the level 54 nec had been camping him all day and no bands or boots.. We didn't get to kill him, for a Greater Darkbones popped and we got the circlet before he popped.. But I guarantee I'm going back again, this time with ITU potions.. Mwaha.

If you go LD in fight, Server auto take control of you and fight for you, even cast spells, until either you or the attacker is dead.
RE: LD
# Jan 14 2002 at 12:56 PM Rating: Decent
I'm sorry, but that has to be wrong. Whatever you were doing before going LD, is what you are doing after going LD. If you are running and go LD, you keep running. If you are fighting, you keep fighting until you can't anymore (mob dies or you do), if you are casting a spell, you finish casting. If you are standing around, you still stand there. I've seen many people get slaughtered because they went LD while something was being trained/aggroed on them.

It is true though that your character does in fact cast spells... I have seen many people go LD and they are still casting spells... such as this wizzy... never seen one nuke so much while ld :)

This I can vouch for, was playing my cleric and got a high blue agro seconds before i got booted, thought for sure I would come back to a corpse run but instead came back to myself being oom and nearly full health. I must have better channeling skills while link dead than i do normally lol.

Oops almost hit post, thought I better clear it up before someone starts posting "joo suxxorz if you can't take a high blue", this happened at lvl 53 and I am far from being a melee cleric so I was very impressed at what my link dead self did lol.

My guildie and I layedthesmakdown on the Ghost last night. I'm a lvl38 Paly w/Arbitors and guildie is lvl35 Paly w/Mith. We held this room easily. We had ITU on and slowly marched our way down to the Ghost room, killing everything in our way. Couple of things: The Ghost room has 2 spawns, a Ten Terro and a Hag. When fighting TT keep your back to a wall so you don't get blasted into the pit. The Hag is the PH for the Ghost. The Ghost does take about 20min to pop but will spawn right were the Hag was originally.

We cleard the room and did not pull from the pit at all and had no problem getting Ole Fatty to pop. We killed him 5x's and first time he dropped boots. He did not drop them again, got Jagged Bands and axe/shield instead.

Also, contrary to popular belief, the Ghost did not run. He does hit fast and sometimes hard (80's) and IMO has many HP's, just like a Giant(Craigs in FM). As a reference, he seems harder than the Mino HERO. He Con'd Blue to me and didn't resist any of my Expulse Undeads.

Well, I went LD before he spawned the 6th time, came back and found guildie had logged but the Ghost didn't..hehehe. I was soloing him and about to LOH (had him to less than half) when I w/LD. Log back on and bam, I'm naked in FV...ARG. Didn't quit fast enough I guess.

I camped the ghost as a 47 necro with a 42 ranger guild mate recently. We fought our way in and held the camp pretty easily.

We wanted to get 2 pairs of boots - one for the ranger and one for my warrior twink. We killed the ghost 13 times over the course of 2 days and only one pair dropped.

Interestingly sometimes the spawn is 15 to 20 minutes but one a couple of occasions we wated at least 45 for him to spawn. Is very boring if he does not spawn quickly.

Will be going back to get our second pair as the ranger owes me for the hours I spent sitting on my butt!
7th time
# Jun 03 2001 at 6:22 PM Rating: Default
Me and a few people from my guild got these last night....
Fatty spawned every 20 minutes (we never got the hag) and the 7th time he dropped the boots. At level 34 the stuff down there gave some great XP.

Yesterday I went there at L46, thinking: what the heck, Unrest isnt that scary anymore to me.. I wasted to collect the dusty old bakbone off the ground in the Ghost pit. Well, I went into the 1st room no problem, killed everything in there with ease, tho hags HAVE a 250 DD that got me worried for a while. Didnt get the bone so I shouted if someone knew its location, a 29 warior dwarf told me he knew & in no time he was in front of me, we grouped & little did I know that there was further rooms after the blood pool.. We pulled everything 1 by 1 (didnt want the little fellow to die) until we reached the room before the pit, where i was surprised to see my ally followed by a tentacle terror and the Ghost.. hehe thats was my 1st time seing him, as I never dared to get into the basement earlier, hehe he calls your name and hits for 80s, coned blue to me at 46, we killed him AND got the boots too(?) 1st time 1st pop, maybe I got lucky.. I invis'd vs undead & went into the pit, got the bone, but apeared b4 getting out, & at this point i just had time to tell my friend to Run.. hehe.. wel HE made it out.. As for me.. well, /I got rezzed, regained my level. But it was still one hell of an unsexpected rush..;))
