step back from the focus effect for a min you dorks look at the ITEM its pretty good and would help them all ya i agree the focus effect is kinda useless for bards but the rest of it would help alot my pally could use it the focus effect would help when he does stuff solo or runnin around with a druid monk enc grp for his ac sybol buffs but the focus effect on the item is secondary and someone said sk's would binifit the most becouse of pet well.... thats only becouse your pet would die in 1-4 hits and you wouuld have to summon it again ... i dont know any sk's that actualy use the pet 99% of the time
bst/pal only? hardly :)

This focus is great for hitting 10+ groups with Spirit of the Predator and Str of Tunare. Then single target buffing the tanks (and anyone who asks) with Call of the Rathe. Hitting pullers with SoE ... as much as focus message goes off on a daily basis for me, I guarantee it's not "useless" on a ranger :)

Why not just make this a Paladin/Bst only item?

Bards, Rangers and Shadowknights wouldn't get anything out of the focus effect. I mean...yes Rangers and Shadowknights....we heal sooo much...and buff casting time speed is all soo important.

The beneficial non heal/buff spells that we do have, well they cast in below 3 seconds.

Bards...songs dont cast that long, unless the bard is using their Kunark armor, which is very unlikely they would be doing at this tier of the game.

Other than that its still a good shoulder piece, but I think BST and PAL get the best bang for the buck out of it. BST especially as oftentimes they have to keep their pets healed trough AE onslaughts.

----------------------------------------

Correct me if i'm wrong please, but where does it say anything about being limited to heals? All buffs are beneficial, and therefore all are affected by this item. This would make this item ideal for most of the classes who can use it (not sure about SK buffs =\ )

you have never played a SK, bard, or Ranger before have you?
Bards Twist songs, and now bards have Cast times, and the faster the cast time the better they can twist, and maybe more the More the can twist)
ShadowKnights DO have DD's that cast farely Quick, but our Lifetaps are in a sesnse DD's that heal us as well, and they are Normaly Slow. Plus Sk's are pullers at high lvls, and the les cast time the faster we can split mobs with FD
Rangers (sorry guys never played yall before so dont know much about it)

Considering that a SKs DDs aren't affected and a Bard can not have any of his songs affected you just sound like an idiot.

I must have been pritty damn loaded on this post..lol.I stand corrected about the bards and the taps...But I never said anything about it effecting SK's DD's

Still should help SK's self buffs?

SKs get the most use of it because it shortens the casting time of our pet spell.

generally uselss for paladins as the only thing worth the effect is our wave heal.

Prexus / Marr are 3 sec casts.

All our other spells mostly used are under this restriction.

Buffs I dont care if they take 3 or 4sec to cast such as BSS.

I think what he is saying is the best use of it would be for a paly or BL, it is obviously usefull to any class listed, however the effect would be alot more usefull on certain classes. (SK-as far as I know (and i could be wrong here) lifetap is a detrimental spell meaning it wouldnt be effected by this focus as it effects the mob and you) Paly-thier heals and BSS pretty much covers thier buffs (self buffing is irrelevent anyways were talking things that take large amounts of time such as buffing others) BL-this class (and yes I am one :/)would benifit from the effect the most in that we are the heavest buff classes of those listed (though rangers would be second I don't know why someone said rangers wouldnt benifit much) Chlroblast-LOL dont make me laugh at level 65 in raid situations 95% of the time we wouldnt have it memed much less use it whats 400+ heal gonna do to a 9k tank getting hit for 1-2k damage/hit. It's mainly useful for the buff effect milage IMO. (group buffs BL use on raids BTW are SD (remember this is on 10-12 groups and most guilds have very few BL as opposed to other classes) and SV. Single buffs we use on raids IoS certain classes don't like focus /wave cleric, and on deaths for rebuffs alot of time stamina buff is gotten from us, Dex buff, those are the most common used in raid situations.

The effect is actually quite useful for all the classes listed. It's much faster to buff a raid if it takes you 25% less time to cast each spell. Chloroblast also has a 3 second cast time. That would bring it down to a ~2.25 second spell. The utility to a 2 1/4 second heal spell is pretty obvious. Sure, PAL/BST might get more use out of the effect, but that's not to say that it's anyway near useless for Rangers and Shadowknights.

P.S. AFAIK, focus effects do nothing for the cast time on triggered items.

Just a bit of info, no focus effects work for bards. Still great stats, but the effect has no value for them, unfortunately.
