Troodon, if you assume that mobs use what they drop (and they at least sometimes use the weapons), why would a god of fire, who is presumably immune to fire, need a +FR stat on his gauntlets? He'd be vulnerable to cold since it's the opposite effect of his element, so he'd want to be resistant to the thing that can hurt him. You're killing him and claiming his gear, so the stats *should* reflect what would benefit the dropper (as evidenced by the +30 CR). I would expect a weapon to have fire dmg, but armor is going to protect him from what hurts him: cold.

Sol Ro isnt the god of fire. Hes the prince. Fennin Ro is the God of Fire. Hence the reason Fennin is in POF and not Sol ro. Sol ro is Fennins son. SOl got mad at dad and siphoned energy from the POF and the SRT is the result.

Actually the god of fire is not immune to fire, he is highly resistant to fire, in part because of his gear gives him increased fire protection. Same reason why Frost Giants drop the beards that give cold protection. Get it?

I won these gloves 2 days ago for my cleric. Yes they have much lower AC that my old ornate gloves, but who cares. 18 Wisdom 12 Stam 100HP and 125 Mana will hold me over until I get elemental gloves. Those of us in large raiding guilds have to often wait long periods b/w loots b/c pt cost are so high on these. Bascially no casters needed so it went to priest lotto. As a side bonus, BoR seems to stack with the effect so my 62 DD went from @6.4 sec cast to @4.7 sec cast. Yes in good grind groups, I often nuke low health runners. With good FT, Mana Reduction 4, and these gloves I am enjoying not sitting on my bottom all the time in Sol Ro or Elemental planes. AC on these are fantastic for int casters too.

Hehe, seems an item that drops in this plane should have fire resistance too. At least 10. I think it would be logical to replace this item's 30 sv cold with 30 sv fire. Still a very nice item though.
Not tank gear

if 18 ac at level 62 (recommended level) is your idea of plate-quality armor please feel free to whine to VI in /feedback about it. Add 30 ac and they might qualify as hybrid-tank gear.

Why would anyone assume it is plate gear?!?! It clearly stats what classes can use it so why even bother saying it needs more AC to qualify as decent hybrid. It is obviously not hybrid gear...

for someone with a name like that you seemed to have forgotten that VI or SOE whoever is in charge uses what ever they want to represent an item these could be cloth but casters got tired of those white lookin gloves so they picked another not to hard to figure that out so dont be stupid over a graphic
